- In this video I share a very easy to tie dry fly pattern. The CDC BWO is a nice little pattern incorporating a few techniques to make a great looking dry fly. Attached below is a list of materials used in this fly but don't be afraid to try it in other colors this is just a generic dry fly pattern the can match many different may fly hatches. Thanks for watching everyone. -Shawn

Keep up the great work on the videos Shawn. We look forward to our next visit out to the shop.
Man id like to get my hands on some blue and yellow macaw feathers
I've only been tying for a short time, 3yrs, I've been watching like a million video's of step by step fly tying to get me go-n.
I must say you r very sloppy with no attention to detail at all. Your videos r bad for newbe's, we should not be exposed to this kind of hook and feather torture. I will leave it there.
If you want to tie museum quality flies to display that's fine. If you want to tie flies that catch fish, tie 'em a little rough and scruffy. Most flies, especially nymphs and wets only get really good after you've caught a few fish on them and they're a little torn up. Oh, and I've been doing it a little more than three years. I 'm almost 70 and have been fly tying and fly fishing since I was 12.
