Danny Ive made a separate comment in amongst the other million. lol If someone has left you a mean and hurtful comment dont take it personally its more of a reflection on that person than you. Remember you're inspiring to so many people and teaching them what you know, you have a gift, there will always be those that will be jealous of that. Love you mate.
You are doing amazing work Danny! It is easy to see the 1 negative and fixate on it. Especially as creatives, we want people to love the things we make. But, there will always be 1 person that dislikes something for every 100 that love what you do. Happy to say I’m part of the thousands that love your content.

great moc commercial by the way.. I would trust to hire you from your cinematography. Good song choice as well. By the way, don't look down on your stuff, well, be an artist, but what the audience sees is not what you see. You might never fully like your own stuff, its ok, but the audience will love it. Think of what content works best for that brand, not for your brand. The gigs will keep on coming.. I don't even have a website anymore. My last nissan commercials came from word of mouth. Keep on rocking it, you have a great attitude and mindset.
Man, if we could get a video on you creating a storyboard/digital concept guide of any commercials/jobs you've shot, that would be dope to see how you go about creating one!

Hilariously I used exactly the same water housing on a surfing shoot last year, but I somehow left the thing that seals the top at home.. So had to use Mathellini clamps. Thankfully it worked and my Pocket4K stayed safe, but it was tense!!

Very true and completely agree.
I've been focusing on photography more than my video work, even my youtube stuff. But after focusing on my photography and in the niche I wanted to work in, I've been getting more work in that field.
I would find products or find brands that I wanted to work with, and I would go and shoot stuff creating a huge portfolio of work. A lot of it was stuff I did on my own, shooting products so clients would be able to see how my work looked. After shooting the stuff in my niche that I wanted, I would finally start getting gigs in that field. Before, it would be all over the place, shoot this, shoot that, etc. Good experience still, making money still, but not shooting the content you WANT to be shooting. So whether its photography or video, shoot stuff by yourself first. Create your own work that would impress a potential client. No one needs to know it wasn't an actual paid gig.

I love this concept man! I was telling some photographers just getting into it to start making the shoots they want to shoot in the wedding world. It's so hard to get hired for the job that you want when you aren't shooting the jobs you want, and it's hard to attract those jobs when it again the jobs you're shooting don't reflect that quality of work. Gotta get creative. Love this message!

Hi Danny! I was looking at some reel tutorials when I came across your channel. I like your videos from what I have seen so far and I have been looking for some videographers and filmmakers to subscribe to. I think you have got another subscriber right here.
havent watched the entire video yet... but a lot of working in the industry and making money is about showing the client their problem and how it can be solved with visual advertising and content creation. My first high end TV commercial for a city came with me having not one single commercial shot. Same with booking my first wedding for 2k, never had shot a wedding before. When you show your clients how you can solve their issue, then you can create a lot of different style of content, good and bad, but you'll be cashing those checks. :) Thats my only advice.
