Taking into account that Devil Jin only ever manifested in canon in times of extreme emotional distress, IE when Jin is stuck in "fight or flight" mode, and the fact that Jin was clearly suffering from severe grief, depression, and self-loathing from Tekken 3 onwards, and it makes sense that Devil Jin is so homicidal.
Siegfried's Nightmare is the delusional denial of a teenager who made a terrible mistake, amplified by an evil artifact.
Devil Jin is the desperate last resort of a suicidal, mistrustful young man in grief with no one to emotionally anchor him.
How could they not be anything but unstable?
It is also important to clarify that DJ moves towards Jin's desires, and Jin being in a constant thought of dying makes DJ fulfill that position of self punishment for his sins
This also makes it so Devil beating up Hwoarang is because of Jin’s want to destroy the Mishima line by his own hands, not letting his friend do it for him
Seeing Jin go from being weighed down by his past and being suicidal to accepting himself made me tear up honestly
Just to see him asking his mother if he deserves life to declaring that he wants to live honestly got me when i played the story 😭
Same for me. This went from the most hype fighting game of 2024 to something IMPORTANT.

Not only is Jin's theme being played and he's using Mishima style karate, but have you noticed Jin's stance when using Mishima style... its Heihachi's.
Really enjoyed these story videos. Watching people who recognize the easter eggs is way more fun than watching newbies haha

Making devil jin a good character was really bad idea imo.
Nah, Devil Jin is still bad and that state brings forth Jin's selfishness nature and lust for power to defeat those stronger than him. Only through acceptance and his mothers wisdom was he able to protect those closest to him; by purifying that corrupt form he became Angel Jin. He needed the power but he had to repent for his past sins.
@@Z1nt3kyeah he could have gone one of two ways, accept the power like kazuya did with ambition of domination and all that or the good way which he went with. Ironically the good way turned out to be better because he got the kazama amp from jun which matched kazuya’s azazel amp.

I heard people saying that Tekken 8 was a love letter to Jin fans and they were right. Jin got the best redemption arc and he got to live life, best Tekken story to date.
Namco took full advantage of the success of Tekken 7 and created the best fighting game of all time, best fighting game story mode of all time, and the best character development, growth and redemption arc in all of fighting games. Only things I would change for story mode was I would've added Hwoarang, Asuka, Lili, and Panda as playable characters during Chapter 10's Tekken Force/Operation Rebellion mode. And maybe not have revealed Reina's True Devil Form but instead have at least a simple Devil, like base Devil Jin and Devil Kazuya. No real complaints otherwise. This is the closest to perfect a fighting game will get.
Seeing Jun walking in the background when you're breaking Jin's chains as Devil Jin tho 😭😭😭

Man every time I hear Jin’s boss theme from tekken 6 blast in the Jin vs Devil Jin fight always gives me flashbacks
Love the fact even after he no longer has the devil gene, Kazuya still wants to throw hands. Mans said he can fold you devil or no devil
That song you asked about was Kaminano from Tekken 2 outro. Also, there's an alternate ending, if you lose to Kazuya during final round (when he gets rage) and don't do any QTE except the hold one in this chapter.
QTE's don't matter. Losing them just makes it easier since you have less health.

I love how the final round or fight with Kazuya... Jin uses his 3 style all at once... kinda OP tbh but wish they implement it in his official moveset 😂

As silly as Tekken's story can be, that end slaps soooooo hard! Also, the moment Jin's single wing became white, I was anticipating an Angel transformation and it did not disappoint. Gotta wonder what happened to Kazuya's Angel back in Tekken 2 though 🤔
It was so epic 😆 I think Kazuya's angel wings disappeared since he tuned into the devil gene more maybe?
its in jin, Devil actually notes that's where his 'other half' went in tekken 4 in Kazuya's story mode playthrough.

Edit: Okay now that this is the final video for Tekken 8 now we gotta talk about how amazing it is and money well spent on Harada's part
The hype being Azazel's return and a boss for arcade mode, the OST from last games (Devil Jin Theme from T5, Jin Theme from T6 and T3), Reina being a Devil for the next game, the side characters being in Main Story and also The final fight of Jin and Kazuya
Me being a Tekken fan.. the game has never felt this awesome and hype for a long time

I feel like I am the only one (from who I've watched) who just bs spammed that one B3+4 move that just teleports you back and heals you a small portion, as a crutch for my lack of skill 😅😅
That and u+2 and u+1 to spam light sabers. D+4 for hellsweep.

But also after seeing Jun walking up to Kazuya’s knocked out corpse, she’s likely gonna heal and revive him. Especially with Reina being the new villain

@@NicoMambino Kazuya isn't dead either, just KO'ed. Jin did what his mother asked, he "saved" Kazuya from the Mishima bloodline curse of son killing their father.
@ggthx no, he's confirmed to he knocked out, both him and Jun are alive, and there is a DLC story coming showing Jun's spirit returning to her body in the shrine and rushes to meet Jin and Kazuya in battle.
