That's a very interesting Lonceria tree there Andy mate and will sure go on to become something very nice. I know what you mean about the explosion of growth. I have a few in my collection and they grow and grow.
Hi Andy Lonicera Nitida ( Honeysuckle ) are great to work on I have some very large and small trees, they are a pruner’s heaven as they as you say grow like crazy, they are very brittle so need to be careful, if you snap a branch but it is still attached you can glue it with super glue and clamp it and it should be fine, they can be a bit iffy with wire but they should be fine, stick the cuttings in bottle of water and before you know it you will have some more, I have done this with a branch an inch thick a few time and it has rooted, takes a bit longer to root but it will eventually. I have a doner bush in the Border which I let grow so I can take more thicker branches when I need them. Good luck with yours Andy.
@@joegarland4885 thanks Joe mate, Nice to talk to you again, Sadly the room I have for bonsai is slowly dwindling 😂😂 If only I had a big garden, I’d be in heaven 😂😂
i remember that short by the river....wasn't it next to a stone overpass road? cant say that i have any experience with honeysuckle but i do remember plucking the flowers and sipping the nectar when i was younger. opposing buds will make refinement fun ( always love that music you got going in your videos ) the main trunk has nice movement. seems like the branches are fairly pliable. 💪💚
Thank you for sharing a very good video
