Tearing the edge of the paper before making ruffle would be interesting texture...as well as using the torn edge for belly bands...

Awwww some lovely ideas! I do love the tissue paper ones that bunch up as you mentioned! Another idea is to use them as decor in your craft room, around a round tin that holds your pencils for example!
    Thank you for the inspiration

Those add a colorful cute touch. Getting ready to make them. Was wondering how you secure the pages to the binding?looks so neat

I sew the pages to the cover (spine) and I glue these onto the pages, usually the edges :-) 💚

    Hi Kindred Krafters!
FYI I use my jewelry/ small sized (5-6 inch) flat nose or similar pliers to press the staple ends that sit too Hugh or don't close all the way! This really works wonders!! Snag free and smooth! 👍😉
Awesome video as always Shanouki! 🤗💗

Thank you so much Lori. I do the same, make metres and metres of it and then don’t use it. Hopefully this will getting people’s creative juices flowing to use it up, as it really is a gorgeous addition to a project. Thank you for always watching my videos and commenting, I hope you have a lovely day 😘☺️

Hi Brenda, I always use cereal boxes that I cover with cardstock. I have a process video of how I do it if that helps. Here is the link th-cam.com/video/ktz8NGCNF8M/w-d-xo.html. Let me know if you have questions I am happy to help 😀 go forward to 2:55 that is when I start the cover 👍🏻

Double sided tape would also be a good alternative for long life holding down of the ruffles
There a great tute on utube by treasurebooks who shows us how to make the paper ruffles
