    I dig out and reuse cable stakes. I'd never leave them in the ground.... Use a drag if ground is that hard.

    I took a wolf fang and drilled a very small hole a quarter of an inch from the point. I put a wire loop through it that was long enough to still stick out of the ground when it was in all of the way. When you pull the wire it dislodges the anchor and you can reuse a cable stake very easy.

    Yeah you can earth anchor talk all you want. But if you bring it up to the mountain where soil sand is next to non existent you will turn to drags.

    I like the MB chain stake also.

      C Harrheel I agree mb chain stake only way to anchor. Mutts can chew off cable anchors

    Wouldn't the chain anchor limit the amount of swivels and allow the animal to twist the chain and maybe become free ?

      No, its no different than a rebar stake, you still have your chain portion of the trap, the chain anchor is a separate 12 inch or so length of chain that attaches to your trap chain
