Great ideas... and explanations of tools. Thanks! I love these drawing tools... But, not crazy about the limitations of exporting formats. The resizing/ reshaping tool should be a standard tool that's available in Ibis Paint app and 3D modeling apps too. What it difference it makes to drag a shape around until it matches the design in your mind... as opposed to drawing lines until you reach the symmetry you're happy with.

That's a great point, and I wish we could have included those tips to the tutorial. We decided from the start that we were going to strictly keep these videos to 3 minutes or less, so unfortunately we have to make some tough decisions about what to include. This video has had very positive response, though, so I'm sure we'll be making more art-oriented content in the future, and I hope we'll be able to squeeze in those details then.
i just realized my oc (and most of my art) is made by pixel art using bitmap thats really small so that the tiny squares making up the grid are medium sized (dont ask me what medium means, i usually use a big screen tv monitor to do my scratch work)
sorry for commenting twice, but i wanted to let you know that scratch addons make everything alot easier. it has an opacity slider, a costume editor snapping, and an onion skinning (also i know you made a tutor about onion skinning already). you can use the opacity slider for example, to make a black cresent and put it in the bottom of a circle and set the opacity slider to 20-30.
We love the opacity slider too! Like so many of the features in Scratch add-ons, it's an obvious upgrade that really should have been included in vanilla Scratch. Please don't apologize for commenting, btw. The TH-cam algorithm rewards videos that get lots of viewer engagement, so every comment, share and thumbs up helps us out!
As a longtime Photoshop user, I think that's a bit of a stretch, but still I'm amazed at the quality of the art that can be created in Scratch, in the hands of somebody who knows what they're doing. All of the original art you see on this channel (PXL, Flying Mr. T, William T Goat and his farm, Dr. Strangedude and his lab) are create entirely in Scratch by our artist, Miss Lynne.
We're hearing that a lot! This is our second try at a Scratch-oriented YT channel, and a lot of our former audience is just starting to find us again. We hope big things are ahead, so thanks for joining us at the ground floor! If you'd like to help us grow, please watch, like and share the rest of our Scratch Hacks series and send us some algorithm love!
It's a matter of personal taste, I guess. Our artist, Miss Lynne is doing some amazing work with complex shading in Scratch. Check out the seamless backdrop she created in this tutorial, and tell me it would look better if it were flat shaded. th-cam.com/video/FFWpe-h79Gc/w-d-xo.html
more curve and point stuff:
circle (curve) = rotated square (point)
square (point) = circle (curve)

Thanks Mia! Glad you checked out the new channel. Just wondering, are you a fellow teacher, by chance?

you forgot the keys shift, ctrl, and alt, which allow many things to offer when resizing, scrolling, and moving.

You have 146 subs now
Yes! Thanks for noticing. We think we're making some very worthwhile content here, so we're optimistic that number will keep growing.

Hello
Hi! Thanks for watching!
i honestly hate vector art with "realistic" shading. it doesnt really sit right with me.
