- As things begin to open here on my dual island nation of Trinidad & Tobago, I thought I’d take you on a trip on the east coast of the island, well heading south on the east coast and try out some Roast Fish along the way. Now these two spots for roast fish has evolved from humble beginnings as these fishermen upgraded their craft to the kitchen which evolved into the two spots you see in this video. It’s a must try at least once if you’re a local or a visitor, so join me and my Bredrin Sunil my Trinbago Vibes peeps, as we take you on this roast fish hopping journey

My opinion of roast fish i think it should be over an open flame from a fireside and not wrapped in foil or leaf.Thanks again Rajeev and Sunil for another informative and beautiful video.
Point taken Anthony, for me the fig leaf adds flavour and the foil keeps its juicy , but you're right the literal term roast is open flame fireside, and thank you for the support 🙏🏽

Mr. Rajeev after watching this video.....my family and I hopped in the van and went to Budow's Roast Fish. The experience was amazing and so was the food. Thank you for this experience you gave to us. That fish meal was totally worth it. Going to try out Ducky's next weekend.

I haven't tried the roast fish as yet. However, my experience with Duckys lobster and customer service was poor. But I'll try the roast fish by both Budows and Duckys!
Ihu with the customer service by Duckys, one of these days I’ll try the lobster by both, hopefully their customer service has improved by then, but the chic who took our order this rounds was good wrt customer service and well I guess since the man himself was around it was good overall
@@TrinbagoVibes When I went he was there but it was also busy so he didn't have a proper structure in place. Additionally, when I chose my lobster he said he doesn't like to cook small lobsters and why customers does choose that but they presented it to me lol. I will try Bodows next time as I have always heard good customer feedback.
@@TyrelCarter thanks for the feedback, Bodows customer service on point so you’ll be good to go, sometime in the future I’ll do the lobster from both and see what’s the outcome
@@TyrelCarter LOL If he didn't want to sell small lobsters, he should not show it to the customer. He should use the small lobster for some lobster dish, like lobster salad, chow mein, soup, etc.. It sounds like he needs a operational plan fior his business.
Bro you all miss the Best of them all. Just a hundred meters past Duckys on the left is Shaka's Premium Roast Seafoods. Better tasting, better quality and guaranteed better prices. That's Heading to Mayaro side.
Ohhh, at the time the only one we saw open after Ducky’s was in Radix itself, Dr Roast fish I believe, but next time I’m down that side will definitely check Shaka’s out

It is a challenge eating roast fish on the go. The fish is bigger than the container, plus the bones.... How do you eat the fish head, without making a mess in the car? LOL i hope Mr Budows was not flooded out this week.

What was the cost at bodows?
I believe it was around $80-$100 TTD at the time we bought it
So who better and who more expensive
Both are around the same price and one was steamed, while the other was roast, plus different types of fish…so it’s all about preference…that being said Duckie’s won this round as we stated at the end of this video 😁

Best fish to roast hands down is sapatay,those fish dorsnt even make it to the market,hete in moruga that is gold and is roasted without foil an eaten with salt lime and pepper alone,real thing for the back

You never said the price of bodow fish
At the time we bought it, it was $95 TTD, especially for the type of fish we got, think there are cheaper ones and it’s possible that the price has risen since this video, I’ll definitely be doing an update sometime in the future
