    These guys did a great job. Very clean reassembly process. I recommend installing oil pan quickly to prevent foreign material entering the engine during assembly. Respect from USA truck mechanic 👍🏻

      The cleaning solvent put on old liners, the solvent getting on the practically dry crankshaft with new bearings, didn't torque the mains or rods, & that's a good job?

      the manuals are a good place to get torque and many other engine specifications to ensure that the engine will run properly. parts need to be more than cleaned, they need to be measured and inspected. This get get them by for another year or two and they will have a repeat customer. Not putting these guys down. They do the absolute best with what they have

    5 guys, $1 an hour, 3 hours. Made in P parts - gaskets $10, piston and liner set $100, extra bits, $10 = $135. $200 total makes for a nice profit. Excellent vid.

    • @sameedakram3939
      @sameedakram3939 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      that profit would be 10,500 Rupee in Pakistan, Which is less but can't complain about that I guess something is better than nothing..

      @@sameedakram3939 They would start out at around $60k per year U.S. dollar's. Plus full benefits like medical care, paid vacation time every year. You get paid for Holidays that you don't have to work. Overtime can put you at about $40 dollar's an hour or more when worked over 40 hours in a 7 day week. Plus a 401k retirement fund.
      The metal fabricating they do at the right jobs in the U.S. they could be paid 6 to 7 figures per year. That's $1 million or more U.S. dollar's.

    Und genau deshalb ist ein E-Motor wesentlich besser. Wenn der kaputt ist, wickelst den neu fertig und musst kein 2.000 Teile Puzzle zusammensetzen.
    Der rege Einsatz vom Drehmomentschlüssel ist sehr vorbildlich. Hat so ein Motor nicht auch Dehnschrauben, die nicht wiederverwendet werden dürfen? Die Sauberkeit ist auch 1a. Das Innenleben sollte absolut kein Staubkorn enthalten.

      I agree I never ever see a torque wrench. I guess they have one in there arm. Or everything gets as tight as you can. The bigger bolts get a 4foot cheater pipe. They Don't mic. Anything either. This is more of cleaning it up with new bearings and rings. I guess they replaced the sleeves on this one. But didn't use any sealer on the bottom of the sleeves. I would not call this a complete going to get 200k miles out of it. This is more of a freshen up and put some lipstick on it and call it a major overhaul. In my opinion. But they may have not shown everything to. Still impressive my mechanics that work for me would bitch the whole time if they had to work like this. For sure.

    Just pave the shop floor already, maybe gravel at least. Can we maybe all donate for it?

    They seem to put all the screws and nuts all together.. I usually put all the bolts next to each part that im removing so i dont confuse the wrong bolts somewhere else especially when you got a few hundreds bolts and each bolt is in different sizes but they seem to not care. Its not only knowing about your work........its about performing your job perfectly.

      When you have re built an engine so many times, you know what goes where pretty fast

      It’s not that they don’t care. I’ve seen mechanics in Trinidad and Guyana do the same thing. They simply know where they go. Comes with experience. Notice also they put the bolts etc for one part of the engine together…so all the bolts for the head are washed together. Yes they’re mixed up but experienced mechanics will know what goes where.

      @@akashramdial2240 In Korea I watched a young teen pulling apart the engine of a Yamaha v$ V Max on the street outside his shop, He threw all the parts in to a large bucket. The next day it was all back together.
