Man it’s so tempting to sell my 3080ti FE and pick one of these up. Lower thermals, better performance and looks. Only thing holding me back is the upcoming 5000 series release at end of 2024/early 2025
If you have the money just do it. as far as the super refresh goes… this & the strix is the best one to get because quality internals, and the shroud is metal. ( metal makes your gpu stay cooler )
@@silfrido1768 im going to stick it out with the 3080ti until 5000 series.. I paid $1200 (msrp) for my card in january 2022 and the 4090 released for $1600 ten months later. Lesson learned and not gonna make the same mistake again. Definitely getting a suprim or strix next time. Went from 1080ti to 3080ti so 5080 makes sense.
@@GMoneyy3000 Yeah that's definitely the move. 3080ti is still a beast and there wouldn't be that much of actual noticeable difference to a 4080 super. I'm myself upgrading from a 1080 ti to this 4080 super now so that will be quite a big upgrade, I'm excited
@@KaVaKaZi I dont agree. You dont even need to play an Unreal Engine 5 game to know that thats not true. Helldivers 2 not even in ultra cant stay at 60 fps in several scenarios, at 1080p. In many other games still with exactly this card I need to turn on Frame Generarion to reach the 200fps mark. So no. And still, I would swap my CPU with the next 15700k and thats done. I have been using my suprim x for the past 2 months and its the greatest piece of hardware I have ever used.
It is the best 4080 Super for sure. Very high quality GPU. And an exact copy paste 4090 cooler used on these models. 😁 Other 4080 Super AIB’s have cheaper out and used 4070 coolers which provides +10 to 15C hotter temps.

And with the card sitting vertically, I believe the case will show off its RGB quite nicely. Never really thought I'd actually get a 4080 Suprim X Super. Thanks for your response, it was helpful!
i'd imagine this is as close as u can get to my 4090 FE, of which is superb in everyway paired with 5950x, nothing (when optimized can stop meh). Hope you enjoy them rays!!
@@mattbarz9538 it was a fantastic GPU. I don’t own it anymore. I sold it to help fund a 4090 Gaming OC, that I bought. Quality wise, the MSI 4080S Suprim-X is one of the nicest GPU’s I’d ever owned. It made the 4090 Gaming OC feel really cheap and much lighter weight in comparison. I highly recommend the MSI 4080S Suprim-X. As for performance never had an issue with the Suprim-X it was always silent. And overclocked beyond 3Ghz easily in 4K gaming. My Gigabyte 4090 Gaming OC is actually a bit of a dud only reaching 2,895-2,925 range. So I feel like I upgraded and downgraded at the same time lol. Plus the Gaming OC feels light weight and a lot Of plastic, the MSI 4080 Super Suprim-X is so heavy and army tank feeling lol. 😆
12:30 let me tell you about water cooling. I own a Caselabs SMA8 - that means I cool a 3080 with a 560 MM radiator. - my temps arent that good ;) Edit: i checked, with my fans cranked, i get 48 ish - Corsair fans that jays2cents uses with this case ;) Ran cyberpunk 2077 - GPu maxxed, memory too
your GPU core might be 46c but what is your MEMORY temp heheh I can guarentee it's well above 55c after 10 minutes or so of Speedway at 4k. I would still put that badboy in a waterblock and put some good thermal putty on it with PTM 7950 on the GPU die.

@@Ma6ku6ta6 This card is amazing for even 4K, so 1440P would be blistering fast!! I own a 4090 now, and let me tell you, the 4080 Super Suprim X is a beast!!! It’s literally 80% of a 4090 90% of the time. There are situations where the 4090 is very fast, but those are pretty uncommon. The 4080 Super is a good 4K card. For 2560x1440P make sure you have a very fast CPU.

How can you add stuff to the Nvidia Overlay?
My overlay show´s only 5 row´s and only cpu and GPU usage are working.
Use ALT + Z to open the options, go to Settings -> HUD Layout, choose Performance and then you can choose how much you want it to show.

Memory temp max per GPU-Z was 48C in God of War after 20 minutes.
Card has vapor chamber so in that case VRAM temps ~ GPU Temps
can you measure it’s length? all models of 4070ti, 4080s/non s and 4090 are same length?
Theyre not the same however the 4080s is the same size as normal 4080
