The 03-04 cobra actually has more 400hp. It was advertised for insurance purposes during that time. But if you bought one from the factory and took it to the dyno. The hp would be about 419 torque same numbers. Depending on elevation..
At the dyno, bone stock Terminators posted between 368ish to some healthy ones posting high 370s to low 380s at the tires; which with drivetrain loss factored in, does equate to 419ish flywheel horsepower. No stock Terminator ever posted 419 wheel horsepower without mods as 419 whp is about 470 - 480 flywheel horsepower. What's good about the Terminators however, is that with pulley, intake, throttle body, exhaust and a tune, they are easily in the 460 wheel horsepower range. Port the Eaton M112 and they are in the 490 - 510 wheel horsepower range. Back in the "400 horsepower is alot" era, this big power gain (150+ hp) for only $1700 total was what helped them to run with dedicated sports cars and Euro exotics. Given that a stock 405hp C5 Z06 dynos at 345 wheel horsepower, I'd say the 03-04 Cobra belongs in this list.
What a great video, pretty entertaining thank you. My favorite of course is what I own, the 2013 Mustang GT my upgrades have managed to give me 520HP over the 420 stock, thank you American Muscle and Brenspeed
:17 I think this body style Camaro looks better than a new one, I also think the C5 Corvette is the best looking Corvette ever except for the C6 Zo6 and ZR1!
My 01 Z06 made 352 whp SAE completely stock. A lot of other 01s do as well, and plenty of 02-04 Z06s dyno 330. All 4 years are basically a crap shoot. If you are including the Terminator the 01 Z06 should definitely be on there, it took my friend's terminator an intake, pulley, X pipe and tune at 437 whp to keep up with my stock 01 Z06.
a nice runner up would be the Ford Focus RS, 350hp awd interior is A1 and youll always turn heads, besides that the ctvs or the gto would be my choice from this video
Just a note on the C6: only the 2005 had a 4 speed auto (4L65). 2006-2013 would have the 6 speed auto (6L80). Sure would have hated to buy that first year when it came out only to see them drop the 6 speed next year!
Dude you had alot of funny parts in your video. I really appreciate you putting it together and sharing. The 6th Gen corvette with a cobalt steering wheel had me laughing out loud. I knew the c5 z06 would make the list. Hell, I'm in the market for one right now, The LS6 was the more reliable and more capable track engine over the LS2 in the C6 and CTS-V. It had better cooling, more efficient intake, and improved heads optimizing cooling without starving the engine of fuel in high G corners. It's the best track car on this list with a more rigid chassis than any C6 including the ZR1 thanks to the FRC coupe. The L99 is a ls3 with a lower profile camshaft, and different mounting points to the transmission. The LSA was a forged LS3 block for a 20 percent gain in strength and a blower for 556 horsepower and 551 torque. It's the same block as the LS9 and a great option for ls9 performance at a cheaper price with mods. That was quite a bit, but I just love the corvette. I enjoyed the video
@@LibertyDrives yeah man, and your videos are no BS when compared to ideal media which seem focused more towards children. Just subbed. Good luck with the algorithm bro 🙌💪
2020 Scat pack Charger. 485 hp. It's a large and heavy car but you don't feel it. Can spin the rear in third gear and can get wiggle in the rear in 4th gear. Big torque(475) out of the 392.
That's exactly why you shouldnt buy one. Spins the tires in third gear while losing a race to a C5 Z06 that doesn't even spin in FIRST gear. That's what happens when you put 485 hp into a cheap basic car, vs a car designed and built to race on track.
Several that should’ve been on this list but isn’t is the Jeep Srt8, Ram SRT10, Lightning, Harley Davidson F150 supercharged, trailblazer SS, Silverado SS, SRT Magnum, 2011-14 F150, Pontiac G8/GXP, there’s probably more that haven’t came to mind but those are some that should be on the list.

@@LuckyO97 the SS is 415. You must be thinking about the Impala. The SS is actually a Australian car called the Commadore SSV. They fetch over 37k easily
I own a 2011 Ford Mustang GT/CS 5.0 (stock) that boasts 412 HP, but most people tell me that the flywheel yes, but rubber to the road I’m probably only pushing 380-390. Would that be true? If yes, why?
In all cars there's a little bit of horsepower lost between what comes out of the engine and what makes it to the road. There's little bits of inefficiency in the transmission and even a little in the rear diff probably that causes horsepower lost to turn into heat energy or audio energy, and parts can be strained a small amount when things start to move. It's worse for automatic cars usually. Even still though 390hp is not bad at all and I'm a huge fan of the 2011 GTs I hope I didn't overcomplicate that explanation😂
It's drivetrain loss. Your hp is inevitably going to be lost through the driveshaft and differential transfer case etc so your crank horsepower is always gonna be higher than your wheel hp
@Liberty Drives Not at all, I appreciate taking the time to respond to my comment. Also I've been told that I can make up the difference and even pass 412 hp with a simple Dyna Tune without investing heavy into modds for example like superchargers or turbos. I may look into that. Love the channel👍
@@vincenth.8793 Of course man, I'm happy to help. Definitely look into that and check reviews. That's probably a pretty fair statement that you could hit that wheel horsepower but make sure the tune company and mustang tunes from them are good. I don't want to discourage you but just do your research and have fun!

Back in 2009, I wanted a cheap car that I could make fast. The 2000 Grand prix GTP was my choice. $5,000 dollars, under 50k miles and a rust free Florida car up here in MI. Didn't take much to get it to dyno 350hp and 400 torque (whp) after some bolt ons and a tune and switching over to E85 for 100 octane. Granted it's still a FWD car and not like these modern v8 RWD muscle cars that are everywhere today. One day, these V8s will be cheap and I'll be able to get one. I just have a hard time spending that much money on a vehicle that will get driven a few weekends a year. I hate living so far north sometimes.
I miss the old 3.8 v6, gm had a real winner with that engine they were hard to kill unlike everything they make now. I had a 04 gtp with a few bolt ons, I had a smaller pulley an intake and headers and down pipes with no cats. Even if it only made 300-350ish whp it sounded great and you couldn't fucking kill it. sadly im also up in Michigan and the rust really got to it.
@@chadbullock6326 The 3800s are very reliable. I daily drove my GTP in the summer for a few years after I bought it and tossed some mods on it. It mostly sat from 2013 to 2021. I finally got it back out. Even after sitting all those years it started right back up (new battery of course) Now with gas prices going back up I wouldn't mind a GTP again.
Thank you very much!! Sounds like you've got a badass ride and lol American Muscle is great
i feel like the trailblazer ss should get an honorable mention
not quite 400 hp but close and shares the same engine with the gto
That last part where he punched the laptop was pretty funny ngl 😂
😂🙏
gotta love the c6. great list as usual
I'm with ya! Thank you very much🙏
New sub👏🏽 love it. My fav is the srt8 challenger. Big boat😁
😂🙏 Thanks very much! Big boat but they pack some power💪
That last gif about the mustang supercharger whine and the hellcat owner punching his laptop had me dying 😂
Lmao glad to hear it brotha
You really are underrated
Get this man more subscribers
Aye thank you very much! I genuinely appreciate that🙏
Not right now. And if you did they have savage titles and base models.
If you included SUV’s, the 2006-10 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 and the 2006 Chevrolet Blazer SS would also be good options.
The memes throughout had me lmao good video👍
Thank ya very much man!🙏 I appreciate it
Just a note on the C6: only the 2005 had a 4 speed auto (4L65). 2006-2013 would have the 6 speed auto (6L80).
Sure would have hated to buy that first year when it came out only to see them drop the 6 speed next year!
Yeah that definitely would've been unfortunate😂 My b on the misinformation but thank you for lettin me know!
That was a great list, it helped me out alot Camaro SS it is 🥶🥶👑
Gotta love an LS3 (or L99 lol)
Dude you had alot of funny parts in your video. I really appreciate you putting it together and sharing. The 6th Gen corvette with a cobalt steering wheel had me laughing out loud. I really needed that. My girl had a cobalt back in 2007. I came close a couple of times to buying a c6. I thought the steering wheel did suck. Never put it together though.
😂Yeah it's a little unfortunate that they did that but I still don't think it's a bad looking wheel. Did you get somethin besides a C6 or that was all you were considering? I appreciate the love🙏
@@LibertyDrives I ended up with a mint c3 instead of the c6. That has been many years back. Even the c3 has been gone a good three years now. I usually don't marry my cars. I get them enjoy and then move to the next.
@@vmoya6631 Lol I gotcha, that's fair. My father's got a C3 and I love that thing. I've flipped a C4 myself, and my end goal someday is a C7 (with maybe a C6 before that as kind of an introduction to it lol)
@@LibertyDrives For many years I had very clean vettes. Basically put all my feelings into them. Now days I try not to be like that. I currently have three new edge mustangs and two bmws. Nothing fancy on any of them. Just good street cars I like. I use motorcycles for speed and a higher level of excitement. Cbr 1000 rr for speed, two Harleys for beauty and a motocross bike to fly.
love the confusing fact that GTOs just sound better then other LS cars just cause and when you hear them in person they always do.
😂I'm glad it's not just me haha
i really want the c6. it’s such a good car. it’s a timeless masterpiece
Bought a Camaro ss back in November no regrets so far super fun car haven’t had issues with it other than power steering pump going out but it was a quick fix
😂🙏 That's awesome man! Congrats on the semi new buy
All good man😂🙏 I loved the info and it's definitely interesting how the engines compare. Thanks for the love!
@@LibertyDrives yeah man, and your videos are no BS when compared to ideal media which seem focused more towards children. Just subbed. Good luck with the algorithm bro 🙌💪
@@ryanrake2714 That's how I try to keep it lol, thank you very much brotha!
@@LibertyDrives your welcome man. It’s great work. Keep it up💪
2020 Scat pack Charger. 485 hp. It's a large and heavy car but you don't feel it. Can spin the rear in third gear and can get wiggle in the rear in 4th gear. Big torque(475) out of the 392.
It says cheapest, that’s a $50k car that my 2013 5.0 I paid 15k for would smoke
That's exactly why you shouldnt buy one. Spins the tires in third gear while losing a race to a C5 Z06 that doesn't even spin in FIRST gear. That's what happens when you put 485 hp into a cheap basic car, vs a car designed and built to race on track.
@@Carguylogan To each his own, i change cars like i change my shoes. I can afford to sample whatever i want.
Aye man good shit. Vid was super well structured, funny, and entertaining. You're gonna make it man
Thank you brotha! I really appreciate that🙏
A great starting point.
2:05 my buddies little brother got an ls2 gto for 4800 like 3 years ago
good list and the edits earned a sub lmao
Thanks very much🙏🙏
I’m definitely gonna get a charger, mustang gt or camaro
Definitely 5th gen maro
Nah getting a mustang gt 5.0 10 speed it gaps camaros 👍🏼
@tum yeah they do my friend hasn’t done much to his and gaps camaros
@@heatrg1090 what fucking mustang has a 10 speed in it
@@heatrg1090 5.0 overrated af, I have a 5th gen camaro ss. Can’t wait for the value 📈
GTO may sound like 350hp LS1 which apparently is slow? Explain how
Tbh the 03-04 cobras are so under rated, the numbers Ford gave is more of whp rather than crank HP, those termis are easily pushing more than 400 HP
I believe it
My Eco-Boost 6spd Bhevy Bruze... ain't make da list??
I have a g8 but my fav is the gto lol looks so mean 🔥🔥
They're both badass cars!
Great video and education
Several that should’ve been on this list but isn’t is the Jeep Srt8, Ram SRT10, Lightning, Harley Davidson F150 supercharged, trailblazer SS, Silverado SS, SRT Magnum, 2011-14 F150, Pontiac G8/GXP, there’s probably more that haven’t came to mind but those are some that should be on the list.
All great options! I tried to keep these to American muscle/sports cars, but those are all still definitely ones to consider
I have an LS2 GTO but you gotta put more respect on the terminator cobra 🙌
Apostate
I definitely love the cobras, I think I just didn't talk about em as much here cause they're so collectible that their prices are so much higher than the rest of these
Nobody mentions the Chevy SS, a beast of a family/sleeper car. 💯💯💪🏾🐐
Well that’s because it has 240hp lol this is for 400HP cars lol
My GTP can smoke it lol
@@LuckyO97 the SS is 415. You must be thinking about the Impala. The SS is actually a Australian car called the Commadore SSV. They fetch over 37k easily
Bro Cash nasty at the end killed me😂💀
I own a 2011 Ford Mustang GT/CS 5.0 (stock) that boasts 412 HP, but most people tell me that the flywheel yes, but rubber to the road I’m probably only pushing 380-390.
Even still though 390hp is not bad at all and I'm a huge fan of the 2011 GTs
I hope I didn't overcomplicate that explanation😂
It's drivetrain loss. Your hp is inevitably going to be lost through the driveshaft and differential transfer case etc so your crank horsepower is always gonna be higher than your wheel hp
@Liberty Drives Not at all, I appreciate taking the time to respond to my comment.
Also I've been told that I can make up the difference and even pass 412 hp with a simple Dyna Tune without investing heavy into modds for example like superchargers or turbos. I may look into that. Love the channel👍
@@gravestone9831 A great shorter explanation lol
@@vincenth.8793 Of course man, I'm happy to help. Definitely look into that and check reviews. That's probably a pretty fair statement that you could hit that wheel horsepower but make sure the tune company and mustang tunes from them are good. I've heard of people getting remote tunes and stuff like that and if they ever want to go back to stock then there's engine problems. I don't want to discourage you but just do your research and have fun!
Your favorite one is the challenger👍🏼
The c5 zo6 are great but so are those c6 both are so easy to build plus the power to weight on both are great
I love my '14 R/T. I like the classic rear lights. Not fond of the light switch of '15 and up. I want to get better headlights though not halo shaped lights though just better than what I have.
Me and mu buddy cruise around him in his 13 rt and me in my 13 gt
@@churlafangaming1671 That sounds like a really fun time!
Seeing I own a srt8 300c I'm gonna have to go with that lol by far the most comfortable 420 horsepower I've been in lol
300 SRT fam
I’m stuck between the 2013 GT or the 2013 SRT8 challenger
The whole list was good, but I always had a special thing for those 300 SRT8’s
They're badass cars
I have a 2011 hyundai equus, Its 385 stock, Just a minor exhaust tune up and its exceeding 400.
That's pretty wild!😂 Sounds like a fun car
My scat pack charger dynoed 506...love that car.
Sounds like a wild ride
Vetted every day of the week
Dope list
Thank you🙏🙏
Back in 2009, I wanted a cheap car that I could make fast.
Even after sitting all those years it started right back up (new battery of course)
Now with gas prices going back up I wouldn't mind a GTP again. Better than the truck I am currently driving.
by far the funniest car video
Much appreciated brotha😂🙏
Honorable mention the G8!!
Really love those! I remember considering em but I forget why I didn't include em. Still, I definitely should've mentioned them at the end at least💪
how can u pass on a zr 1 1990 thru 1995 very fast car and great handling
03 and 04 cobra rated 390 crank seen tons of dynos of them making more than 390 at wheels
6 definitely
You literally complained about all the numbers but look at you, that's all your saying
Yeah I actually bought the GTO LS2 when it came out
You lucky dog!
Came from your Instagram page good video
Thank you very much!🙏
In the UK, you can buy a Mercedes-Benz S Class 6.2 S63 AMG 7G-Tronic 4dr with over 520 HP used for £16,000
C6 all day. Want one so bad, but they are marked up to over 30k now.
11-23 dodge charger RTs are 400HP+ after a 93 tune, differential upgrade, and a CAI.
Some say the terminator has the best supercharger whine
Hellcat Owners: say sike right now
I am definitely a mustang guy I love Mustangs
