When you have your children do narration for history or science, what is the expectation for how much is written? Whatever they feel like or a specific number of sentences?
My oldest is almost 10 and has been writing narrations for a year. When we first started I asked for a few sentences. She has gradually added on her own. We do not edit it or correct it and that has helped with her motivation to write. I just ask her to read it to me. My 7yo usually tells me and I write it down. Some days she doesn’t stop talking 😉 other days (today was one!) I have to encourage her to give me more information. I highly recommend “Know and Tell” by Karen Glass. It’s a book all about narrations and the different stages with best practices. I loved it!
Would love to hear about your new Math! Is that BJU? We are using Apologia right now, but would be interested to hear your thoughts on the switch to something else.
Yes! I really want to share about all of our math curricula experiences very soon. We started with Apologia last March. We are currently testing out BJU press to see if it’s a better fit. I will definitely share how it goes
I don't mind doing that. I'm just trying to figure out how to get an image to you. I can share a closer look in an upcoming video. Or, if you follow me on Instagram I have a highlight called "Planning" that has multiple looks at a filled in checklist.

Can you make a copy of your planning sheet...filled in so I could see it for an example. I can't screen shot anything. Thanks.
