I have a Silhouette Cameo 4 and didnt even think of using it when I was cutting some cork today. I used a die and it game me a beautiful clean cut. I may just try my Cameo tomorrow.
Thank you so much for this tutorial I was just using cork today, and this was right on time.! I also want to thank you for giving tips using the Cricut Explore Air 2. I like the newer models too, but a bit unaffordable and Ive come to really enjoy this machine a lot. I also have the Cricut Joy. Thank you again😊
Thank you for doing this tutorial! I make coasters out of resin and want to put cork on the bottom. I was wondering how well it would cut. I'm glad I have a Maker! Your videos are always so helpful and easy to understand. Thanks again!
I am new to Cricut and very much enjoy your informative videos. I use a product called Decovil as an interfacing in bags. I would like to be able to cut my smaller pieces with my Maker. What settings would you recommend??? TIA Pataricia
Thanks for this. I made a mess of trying to cut cork and ended up using scissors. Needless to say the circles were wonky. Where do you get the leather backed cork?
Hi Angie! I seriously love your videos. Anyway, Im wanting to make a Mickey head out of cork for my girls disney pins. I do have a Cricut explorer machine. Do you know what blade would be best to use for this project? Thank you!
What about doing the strong grip transfer tape over the regular cork and trying the test cut on the explorer? Do you think that might help with the edges being cleaner?
Does the maker also print? If so, I was thinking that Candle dust covers would be lovely with the faux leather w cork back with company name/logo etc on it.
A Cricut machine is not going to be able to do this. Usually people use a laser for this process. You can see if something like a scorch marker would work and burn it in.
Thank you for this! I have the Maker and some cork with the sticky backing that I need to cut to size for coasters. It’s about 1/16 inch thick though. Do you have any suggestions on a setting I should use? Thanks in advance!
I have a pattern where I cannot use the rotary blade for the cork. There are some small holes that the rotary blade cannot cut. What setting would you use for that?

Oh let me know if it works!
Thanks. You covered all the ins and outs of cuttingcork with a Cricut machine. Very thorough step by step. Always good information.😊
Use my maker to cut cork leather, use the transfer tape always, been using the new extra sticky one cut upside right, use the cork for bags.

Hi Angie! Thank you for a Tutorial to have for reference...much appreciated.
BTW...loving Sub Camp!
Thanks for watching!
This video is a gem! Thank you! 💖
Glad it was helpful!
Can you cut names with faux cork on cricket.
Yes you can!
I’ve cut cork for making bags, purses, and totes.
Awesome!
What type of cork do you use to your bags and purses? Thin Cork sheets, the cork w leather back or cork fabric?
@@georgianasalter I use cork with a cloth backing. My favorite is Sally Tomatoes. But I have used others that work well.
Thanks for this, very useful for me to know
Thank you, Angie!

I am not familiar with that material so I would run some test cuts. Probably try fabric settings and the rotary blade first.
Thanks for this. I made a mess of trying to cut cork and ended up using scissors. Needless to say the circles were wonky. Where do you get the leather backed cork?
I got it from Amazon!
Hi Angie! I seriously love your videos. Anyway, Im wanting to make a Mickey head out of cork for my girls disney pins. I do have a Cricut explorer machine. Do you know what blade would be best to use for this project? Thank you!
I would do the deep point blade.
@@AngieHolden thank you so much!

I think it would tear it up getting the tape off of the front.
Does the maker also print? If so, I was thinking that Candle dust covers would be lovely with the faux leather w cork back with company name/logo etc on it.
You would have to print anything you needed on a printer. You can draw with the Maker.
I want to engrave on the cork fabric sheet. To make bag tags Do you have any suggestions? Thanks! Take care ❤️

Are you able to engrave on cork or vinyl, like a name or image? If not which cricut tool would be better to use to do this. Ty 😊😊
You would not be able to engrave with a Cricut on these materials. A laser would be your best bet for that type of craft.
@AngieHolden Okay.
Thank you so much for responding.
What about the Black blade in the explorer?
That is just a deep cut blade. It will not change the fact that the Explore drags the blade through the material.
Can you put a rotery blade in an explore 3, love your video
No you cannot.
Thank you for this!
I have the Maker and some cork with the sticky backing that I need to cut to size for coasters.
It’s about 1/16 inch thick though. Do you have any suggestions on a setting I should use?
Thanks in advance!
I would use probably the heavy fabric setting and the rotary blade.

Thanks!
Do you know how I can do the foil sealer for the Nespresso virtuo pod ?
I have a pattern where I cannot use the rotary blade for the cork. There are some small holes that the rotary blade cannot cut. What setting would you use for that?
All you can do it try some cut settings with the deep point blade. It will be tough to get a clean cut.
@@AngieHolden Thank you!
Where do you get the cork
