Luckily we have them living wild in our backyard hear in Australia, cen hand feed them! They are a beautiful bird..

Sorry to disappoint but guarding the eggs between a human you know and a bloody great monitor? It's not personality as such it's perceived risk. Varanid = predator is hardwired in.
Although I'd get a much different reaction if I went to try and collect the eggs because I'm a total stranger among possibly other reasons. Some animals will react oddly if they detect something unusual (dolphins do with women/girls post hysterectomy or born without, they can detect missing organs).
Saw the lil Albino on another video - looked like vac formed plastic at first. I've only been tricked once - a chameleon that looked like a model until it moved.
I have a gravid tegu - didn't know she's a she (44" and looks like a male) till two months ago (18 slug eggs) and now another lot - don't have any idea what to do with her - but can the Argentines have fertile eggs without mating like komodo? I know the smaller teiids can. She's so jammed full of eggs her breathings disrupted.
Plus 2 scheltopusik and some 13 baby corns.

We love videos with Fred, but I think it would be interesting to caption when he speaks. Many times we don't understand what he is saying, especially for those who are non-native English speakers. He is a great guy and knows a lot.
