You can keep some European species outside in Germany. I live right next to your country, in the Netherlands, where hermanns tortoises (Testudo hermanni) are commonly kept outside, with the right environmental precautions of course. I keep a hermanns tortoise as well. He just roams around the yard and buries himself for hibernation. I also know people that have great success keeping lizards like Timon lepidus, Lacerta viridis, L. bilineata and Podacris species outside. In an outside pond, several turtle species can be kept. Species from the Northern states of the US, Canada, or again, European species. Of course you have more limited options than in Florida, but with the right precautions, it can be done.
Well I think it may be possible if you got a greenhouse that allows UV light to go throw it. With a geothermal system it would be relativelycheap to run. Look into it

Love to see your relationship with Sophia. Kids learn by modeling behavior, so best thing for kiddos is to just keep them around so they can learn from modeling your behavior rather then that of someone else. Love seeing what it takes to run the kamp as well, love all the video, great job!

You need to soak the sprinkler heads in vinegar a few times a year to remove the calcium, lime, and rust deposits.

The leopard tortoise babies are super cute and super cute as adults too. If im ever lucky ams win the lottery to by a house in a warm climate i want tortoises and turtles in my back yard. Winter is just to harsh where i live for them now. Even having bearded dragons hurts my heart because they are stuck indoors most of the time. It wasn't my decision to get them. I just ended up with them and thankfully im here to care for them. They have huge indoor enclosures and lots of enrichment considering the circumstances. They are. Like my second kids next to my kids. Love them so much. Id love to have a monitor lizarc but that's impossible here u less i dedicated an entire room to one in the basement which right now isn't possible. That room is vacated at the moment haha.

Kenan you need to look up Jeffrey Perico. He has a common snapping turtle that comes to him and lets him pet it like a puppy. His display pic is the turtle. Know you love turtles especially snapping and you gotta see this! The turtles name is “Gizmo” and comes when called!!
Hey Kenan those white zip ties won’t hold up in the sun very long. White zip ties degrade quickly from the sun, you may have to hop up there again before you really want to.

Great stuff man. Long time fan and viewer I would kinda love to see some upcoming videos on renovating this old cages. I know it takes time and energy and hell even money but at the end of the day it’s for the pets! Some nice long lasting cages maybe some designs that take some work outta the care. I know you already have that but more efficiency is always great. Idk long rant over lol! Great stuff keep up the great work. I’d love to own a smaller tortoise species one day being from Wisconsin it’s hard to keep the big ones.
Kenan things fall apart really fast after a while and at 62 I was getting a ladder and just reaching over to do that tube repair on the snake water feature.
