I always get so jealous of his indoor collection, particularly the black-breasted leaf turtles. They're my favorite turtle, but as you said rare in the hobby and therefore out of my price range. Glad to see someone caring for them on the same level I would.

Just wow. 😍 Newer to the channel so this is my first time seeing any of this. Those turtles are stunning! I live in North Florida so the box turtles are probably my favorite. I had one as a kid that the Estuary couldn’t care for so they asked my grandpa and I. It was just a normal color variant but he was missing a leg and an eye as well as part of his shell was cracked. Once he was healed up enough he went into a new enclosure they built at the estuary. ♥️🐢
This was fantastic! I love Charlie and his enclosures and these amazing turtles that he is caretaking! Kenan, you know all the best people! Charlie, I do hope that you might allow Kenan to come back in the not too distant future, so that he can share a follow up with us! Those last 2 turtles are my absolute favourite turtles that I have ever seen! Those adorable bug eyes! And the very last sweetheart coming over to the door with its mouth open!! So very cute and funny! I love them!
I'm pretty sure Kenan could do pancakes in with petro and petra... or where the Argus is now ... both of those spots have seemed perfect for them with a ton of heat mats in a rock structure.
Egyptian tortoises are the top of my bucket list. I live in Israel, and they can be found in the south towards Sinai and Eilat. I would LOVE to breed for conservation, with an eye towards reintroducing them into the wild.
I feel that way. I need to rehome my box turtles. I know I could put ask on Facebook but I worry about them going to homes that do not know how to care for them.
its also really hard for us to fall for camouflage if we know what to look for because our vision evolved to be really good at spotting things like lions leopards and snakes. because its one of the ways we survived. it has been really ling sinds we lost out claws and big teeth so we had to use our incredible brain too survive. partly what caused us to evolve sight that is really good at telling patterns and colors apart. much better than most other animals
Mr. Moorcroft is always so modest, but what an amazing collection, and I love his meticulous care. Wonderful! Peaceful environments.
