- Foreigner & Styx on Tour With a New Limited Edition Album: Foreigner & the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame!
Hey everyone!
Tonight I not only cover the very latest goings on with both Foreigner & the Rock band Styx, I also give my two cents worth regarding just how and why Foreigner is being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame!
I also cover the new limited edition live album that the two bands have produced, and how many copies will be available!
Why are these two bands touring together? How ling will the tour last? All questions will be answered in tonight’s video!

I saw Styx many times back in the seventies and was never disappointed (I'm from Chicago, btw) except for the "Killroy Was Here" tour (ugh) liked the album, hated the tour. I saw them again back when they were on their "Grand Illusion/ Pieces of Eight" tour. Lawrence Gowan drove me nuts! He continuously spun his keyboard around while standing and posing on his stool. During the intermission the whole section we were seated in was laughing and snickering about him. Someone actually shouted "Where's Dennis?!"
I also saw Foriegner many times with Lou, the last being in 2001. I've never seen the current incarnation of the band and never had any interest in doing so. Kelley Hanson has always come off as if he contributed greatly to the band. All they've done with him are one album, some rerecordings and budget live albums.
As far as this tour, the one who should be headlining is John Waite. I've seen and met him a number of times and he puts on a great show. He's still recording new material and he does a great version of Zep's "Whole Lotta Love"

I don't go to concerts anymore. Instead, I watch them on TH-cam. Between the current Styx & Dennis DeYoung concerts I've seen on TH-cam, I'd rather see Dennis & his band.
I saw Styx in concert at Madison Sq Garden decades ago - 1 wk later, I totally forgot about them; Bands today are TRIBUTE bands depending on which band member is part of the 'troupe'; PPl today are grasping for memories; The audience's are so uncool, etc etc

I saw Foreigner in August of 77 I did see Styx in August of....wait for it....2019, and I/we totally enjoyed it! So there's that.

I absolutely LOVE both bands. Foreigner is in my top 10, and Styx my top 20. I was a teenager when they hit so I was a perfect age. Styx was the first concert I ever saw during their Paradise Theatre tour. Just like The Police, I’m saddened that the band couldn’t get along to keep it going. I do like both Tommy Shaw and Dennis De Young…although Dennis is sometimes too theatrical. And Tommy’s addition to the band brought them to a new level. However, I will not go see them without Dennis. End of story.

Dennis was ROCK THEATER. Gowan is gay and Liberace like. Dennis' venture into Rock Theatrics was seeing Alice Cooper on the Welcome to my Nightmare Tour and also Genesis' Lamb Lies Down Tour and influenced by The Who and Pink Floyd.
Pink Floyd imploded because of Roger Waters' ego starting on Animals and his abusive behavior to Rick Wright, Storm Thorgerson and Bob Ezrin led to Roger casting all three out of the Pink Floyd camp. Thorgerson was banished in 1978, Wright ousted in 1979 and Ezrin was ousted. Funny that David Gilmour brought all three back after Roger left and then David walked away from Pink Floyd to be a father in 1995 and refuses to tour under the name anymore and he prefers playing gigs on a smaller scale or residencies at Madison Square Garden. Roger is now touring the Pink Floyd catalog ad nauseam like Tommy and JY tour Styx's catalog ad nauseam.
@@terrencereardon6374I like Dennis very much. I like the whole band, but the idea of Styx without Dennis is unacceptable. I have no problem with Tommy and Tj disliking the theatrical stuff that Dennis was bringing, no matter where the influence came from. Some guys just want to play. But I think they could have been more accepting towards Dennis. Mr Roboto ended being an enduring piece of work! But band members going in different directions is nothing new as you pointed out. It is what is.

Saw Styx in 1976, they were fantastic! Saw Styx again in 2021 and they were fantastic! Don't know why they would tour with Foreigner though. Styx can still bring it and Larry Gowan is a great replacement for Dennis DeYoung.

Great perspective that I agree with 100% Michael. Unfortunately, and we ALL know this, the "real" Bottom Line is that the original line-ups aren't coming back for us to enjoy live. Ever. Full stop. Those artists that are still drawing breath are gouging beyond outrageous money for the privilege of seeing them attempt to be as they were 40 years ago and we commoners from the real Rock era are left with nothing but fading memories.
Styx without Dennis DeYoung is not Styx. He kinda predicted AI with Mr Roboto back in 1983 if you listen to the words.
Never saw Styx , but did see Foreigner 4-5 times when Lou Gramm fronted the band back in the day here in his hometown of Rochester.All were super shows. Never bothered with seeing them after he left.

Years ago I came to terms with the fact that the bands I loved in the 70s and 80s disappeared and can't come back. Now we have mostly cover bands or bands with some members that are so old they are a shadow of themselves. In other words, love it or hate it, what we have today is a real Grand Illusion. It's sad, but time marches on. At least we can still blast their music in our house and car and remember the good times. It's kind of cool that younger generations love and respect those groups.
I think respect means you don't replace old legendary members with some new guys to make some more cash in your old age.
@@simonajugarih3620 To clarify, many younger people that weren't around when our generation's music was made love it far more than current music. Sure, they might go to a fake concert, but what choice do they have? A millennial I know very well just went to a Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons concert because she loves their music. No, she didn't see the group I saw live in 1982, but she still enjoyed it. I wouldn't go because I had the true experience 42 years ago.
@@jim6070 Trust me, I know, I have three teenagers and they listen only to old music. BUT, will I take them to see a band missing most original members? Never. They understand that those days are over forever. This new generation needs to make their own great music. We can not live in the past forever. They need to be creative themselves. What kind of message are we giving our kids if we say that it does not matter who wrote the music? It matters and those artists need to be respected and remembered, not replaced by some random people.

To me, they are both tribute bands. Foreigner more so with no original members. Maybe they should tour with Lynyrd Skynyrd. Tommy Shaw and James Young being the two remaining members of Styx. Chuck Panozzo plays every now and then. I also don’t consider The Who and The Beach Boys as being the bands they claim to be. Imagine Paul and Ringo going out on the road as The Beatles…I don’t think so.

Also Michael, I remember a pole that came out in 1979, and Styx was voted number one band in the country. Led Zeppelin was number four, and the Beatles were number eight. I remember this pole because I was annoyed The Beatles were down at number eight. That was the cornerstone album year. With the success of Babe. So they were riding quite high in their peak.

The Beatles have the last laugh in the end, because Styx on a pole today would be nowhere to be found. And The Beatles…well, there’s only one place for them. And most music articles I read now prefix in the beginning of column by pointing out they are the greatest, most influential band in history. The debate is over.
My question is...if replacement members like those in Foreigner haven't been there for 25 years, how are they eligible for the rock n roll hall of fame when 25 years is the wait time? Sounds like riding coattails to me. Styx may get in eventually too and we'll see if Dennis performs with them or even shows up.
I think he’d show up. I can picture Dennis trying to hug JY and Tommy and they look as if they’re being strangled!
I think listening to the records and to go into yourself and experience the music and craft of the artists is the way to go. In the current world of concerts the way these shows are put together and the venue's they are played in just dosnt do it for me. Its more hassle than its worth. I saw both these acts already years ago. In my experance the first time will always be the best,so no need to try to re live it I have the records for that.

I`ve never been much of a fan of either band. But I`ll tell you something. Larry Gowan is a fantastic musician and performer. His solo albums are great. I like him in Styx but really love his own material more. Can`t wait to see him back home here in Canada after the Styx tour. ( Check out the ...But You Can Call Me Larry album. Excellent stuff .)
If you want to see an original band tour go see the current Dixie Dregs and Steve Morse band tour. All original Dixie Dregs members except for deceased keyboardist T Lavitz with keys wizard Jordan Rudess from Dream Theater filling in his place. Absolutely awesome show I saw at Patchogue Theater on Long Island on 5/14 with Steve Morse playing double duty opening up with the 3 original members of the Steve Morse band. Both bands finished the show together on stage to everyone's delight. Not 1 but 2 original bands all for $89.50 in the 9th row center. Patronize bands like these who deserve us seeing them live as they once were without having to pay hundreds to attend.

Michael, it's good to see you in a full-length upload. Foreigner, yeah - they are a joke. I'm going to call that. But I feel Styx with being led by Tommy Shaw and James "JY" Young is still valid. The issue as I remember was that Dennis was having problems with his eyes and the lighting at concerts causing him problems. He wanted time to recover and get treatment for his eye issues. The band did not want to wait and went on tour with Lawrence Gowan who has done a yeoman's job. My 2 cents anyways. Hope you are well sir.

Dennis too refused to replace Shaw during Tommy randomly quitting during the Kilroy tour.
Other members asked if they’d find a new member and Dennis rejected thinking Tommy just needed time off. Rather scummy Tommy and JY fire Dennis using his health for connivence after all the hits he wrote for them

They have toured ad nauseam since 1999 just like Tommy’s hero Roger Waters who has toured over and over and over since 1999 as well. Most Shaw and Young fans watch Family Guy, voted for Brandon and Obama, are Atheists and listen to KISS.
@@Thomasmemoryscentral Exactly. The lowest of the low. Tommy didn't join until the band had 5 albums recorded & a top 10 hit. Dennis personally asked him to join the band. Dennis put his life's work into the band since his teenage years. JY didn't join until 8 years later. They robbed Dennis of his job and the band he & the twins formed.
I forgot all about that. Yeah, slimy. It’s really a shame, because it seemed Tommy was that one ingredient they needed. And it worked! Almost like a ying and yang that fit went put together.
I saw Foreigner at the Venetian back in March. When I bought the tickets, I thought Mick Jones was still playing. When his Parkinson's got so bad, I think he made the decision to allow this year's tour to go forward so that his guys can get paid. They lobbied from the stage a vote for the RRHF, so that had something to do with it. As far as an "apology" induction, the Hall has a lot of apologizing left to do, but Foreigner has long been at the top of the snub list .

His Fame Hall is guilty of making certain acts wait and then certain members die, retire or can’t make it. It’s nice Yes is inducted with Jon, Steve, Trevor, Rick and Alan Alive to perform for their 2017 ceremony at the time. However by 2017, Chris and Peter already died for a few years, Bill Bruford retired in 2009 and Tony Kaye was unavailable.
I cannot think of 2 bands that I'd like to see less. The best thing Foreigner ever did was have The Ramones open up for them in 1979.
Another interesting exception.
REO Speedwagon. Obviously not a relevant band any more, but the two new guys (drummer and lead guitarist), have both been in the band for 34 years now.
That is impressive.
Gowan was a pretty big artist in Canada in the 80s...not quite Bryan Adams level, but some huge #1 songs and sold millions of records. A household name here for those of a certain age. Classically trained and a very good songwriter for me, so I always have a soft spot for new Styx. Glad they're making new music...the last couple have been pretty good. Not sure I'll see the tour, though.

I saw Styx about six years ago and was stunned how well they performed, backing track free. Sat ten rows away. They played over two hours. Added: Their current singer IMO, is better than Dennis. No nasal drone, but same range. I was surprised, since like Dennis's voice in the context of the band.
Gowan can't hold a candle to Dennis!

It's the classic Ship of Theseus analogy. Styx is more than Dennis Deyoung however he was the primary creative force as you say. I don't begrudge the rest of them for still getting what they can. The Foreigner pretenders are a joke!
Everybody is trying to hang on to the nostalgia and people see these shows as one last opportunity. I get it! There are still some old bands I would love to see but probably won't because like you said, some local tribute bands are just as good. Why pay the money?
Dennis Deyoung started Styx. These guys are making money of what DDY created. You said a lot of things that I've been saying. Styx was my 1st concert back in 1980 and Larry Gowan replacing DDY is a joke. When I heard that these two cover bands are touring I laughed. They should change the names to "The Tommy Shaw Band" and drop all DDY songs and "Mick Jones Foriegnor wannabes", but I guess there would be no money to be made if they did this.
I was in elementry school when Styx was huge. You're right they were very hit and miss. For years I thought their song the best of times was Air Supply.
It's not a good example of their music though. They had a wide variety of song styles. You can judge them by a song or two. Massive variety in their music. Even with their hit songs.

What I really know about Styx were their radio hits of the early 80s. I do have to say this that just like the actual band I got sick of hearing Mr Roboto.
@@kevinwilt5496 Styx is a band you really can't judge from their radio hits. The band was around since 1962 and went through many transitions in style and always offered a wide variety.
In 1971 or so with Prog rock bands like Yes, ELP & Genesis taking off, Styx too largely went in that direction on their album tracks, but it was never the only style they did. As the first major American Prog Rock influenced band, bands like Kansas, Foreigner & Boston followed in Styx footsteps.
On their debut record they have a song called "Movement for the common man". Recorded in early 1972, it used the new Moog modular synthesizer as had recently been hear on ELP's song "Lucky man". Strangely, ELP many years later also did a rock cover of this classical composition and even had a hit with it, but Styx did it long before ELP did. If you see the live set list of Styx in 1972, you'll noticed besides their original songs, their covering Yes, ELP, King Crimson, Tull and other Prog Rock bands.
A couple songs I"d recommend you listen to are "Castle Walls", "Suite Madame Blue", "The Message" (instrumental) & "Pieces of eight".
I have been quite a bit into the Styx Wooden Nickle records of late. Though these were commercial failuresa the time, I find them to be very strong and easty to listen to albums. If you haven't checked them out, you should.

If Styx can have a RRHOF induction, that might reunite Dennis in the group similar to the 2017 Yes induction reuniting Alan White and Steve Howe to Trevor Rabin, Rick Wakeman and Jon Anderson
I generally take a dim view of bands touring with less than half of the hitmaking members, provided the originals are still alive. When death intervenes, it becomes a bit tougher. Do you bring in someone else to help keep the music alive, or do you stop and let your band become a historical footnote? Those are the tougher calls.

How about a video on David Gilmour only playing two US cities and ten shows total to support his new album and reluctance to play the classic Pink Floyd material and focus on his solo work and he is not even playing material from A Momentary Lapse of Reason or The Division Bell (except High Hopes)
Preach, brother. This iteration of “Foreigner” should change their name to “Cynicism,” because that’s all this is, a cynical money grab. I’ll paraphrase my musical hero, Robert Plant: I’m not a jukebox.
What’s in a name? A little or a lot. It all depends on the consumer.
As with all of these older legacy bands it is a case-by-case basis as to if a person wants to spend the money to see them. As far as this tour goes you very correct that Foreigner is an ‘official’ tribute band and if people are okay with that then that is fine for them. They certainly put on a good show, but without any original or classic line up era members it is now a tribute band (albeit an excellent one). The last time I saw Foreigner was with Mick Jones and I do consider that show to be an actual Foreigner show (Starrider included).
One thing I always wished the current Foreigner w/Mick Jones would have done is record a new record of all original material. The few singles that they put out “I Can’t Slow Down,” “Too Late,” and “In Pieces” were all excellent and fit right in with the Foreigner mold.
Styx, however is far from an official or even unofficial tribute band. Sporting two members (two classic line up era - sometimes with one original member depending on if Chuck Panozzo is there or not making it 3 in total) the band has put out new material that equals past classic era efforts. To lump them in with other bands of the era that have no original or classic era members is a mistake. This is still Styx officially and unofficially as well. Dennis is no longer there but he is welcome to tour on his own as he has for these past many years. When Dennis does tour, he has members that replicate the JY and Tommy parts just as Styx has Mr. Gowan who replicates the Dennis parts when doing the Dennis material. When John J. Curulewski left and was replaced by Tommy Shaw was it still Styx? Of course, it was. The same goes for Mr. Gowan when Dennis left and before him Mr. Burtnik.
As far as your assertion that when people go and see Paul McCartney they don’t walk away saying they saw the Beatles, well, of course they don’t. No one is advertising it as such so that point is moot.
I do agree that people can also go to a whole host of local cover / tribute bands that are fantastic in their own right and far more cost effective if that is what they are looking for as well as seeing local bands that sport their own all original material. So, are people going to see this bill really seeing Styx and Foreigner? I say yes for Styx, but no with Foreigner.
Once again, people have to do their homework (simple google search) and decide for themselves what goes for them. For instance, awhile back Quiet Riot sadly lost one of their founding members in drummer Frankie Banalli. If they had continued without him, I would not have really considered them QR (even though Chuck Wright had been in and out of the band in the early days and beyond), but with the addition of Rudy Sarzo back on bass, a classic era line up member I once again consider them Quiet Riot. See what I mean about a case-by-case assessment? Everyone has their ever-shifting viewpoints on this and I encourage everyone to consult the net before purchasing tickets to any of these shows.
Also on the bill is the fantastic John Waite. A real treat as an opener.
A friend of mine saw McCartney a couple of years ago. She didn't say she was seeing the Beatles, but did say she was seeing Wings!
I totally agree both of these bands are tribute acts now. Both were great bands in their day.
I tend to think that they are much better than your average tribute acts, but they are tribute acts in reality.
I saw Foreigner just before COVID touring with the original line-up. This was something they only did for a few select shows, and it was great to finally see. Their original bassist Ed had passed away by this time, and Rick was there who had been with the band since 1979. Ian has since passed.
Styx was an awesome band, but I have very little interest in them without Dennis. When you loose your primary song writer, main lead vocalist, main instrumentalist, front man and "star" of the band, it's hard to accept substitutes. Tommy was great too, but Dennis was clearly the star of the band. Amazing voice & synth player that no one can substitute for. "Look Ma, I can spin my keyboard". Doesn't do much for me. Can't blame him for taking the job though, seems like a respectable guy.....but Dennis plays the best Dennis character for the band.
*I ABSOLUTELY LOVE,* The way you've "un"-indoctrinated, these bands!! And even w/my knowing a couple of guys in the current *"Styx"* lineup, admittedly they, 😌 *ARE NOT THE "O.G. STYX LINE UP!!"* And, not for nothing, they are OK with that, understanding that they are just filling a role, although.., "one of them" has been in "STYX" for a VERY, very long time, and he still understands that he is in what I call, "a solid fill-in-&-stand-up-kinda-guy," role!! Because to be honest (AND I wrestle W/THIS a bit,) SO, #1.] I totally agree with you on "headliners," who've become "tribute acts," who've now gone into the "Twilight zone" of look at me, I am a big rock star now!!! BUT, #2.] Is that soooo bad that they should be boo'd and hissed off the stage, because for all practice and purposes, they are just earning a paycheck, just like every cat out there trying to (at the very least,) leave their mark on the world, so that, just before, and when they are gone, they and the general public can say, they contributed to the world in a MOSTLY positive way!!! 🤔 *... I guess it beats going out of this world as nothing more than, someone who spent their entire lives, hurting others, even being jailed or imprisoned for those crimes, NO ....*

I have a hard time believing there won't be digital version you can buy of the new LP. The vinyl will be cut from a digital file anyway.
Last year my wife and I were at The Hard Rock Casino in Atlantic City. Another couple we happened to get acquainted with mentioned to my wife they were seeing Foreigner that night. My wife turned to me and said “Honey, Foreigner is playing here tonight! You love Foreigner!” All I said was “No they’re not! I’m not paying $120 to see a tribute band!” My wife looked confused. I wasn’t. I actually wouldn’t pay one penny because of the slimy thing they’re trying to pull off.

Because I remember in an interview immediately after Glen Fry’s death, Henley telling the interviewer “it meant the end of The Eagles.” And I thought that was pretty obvious. But there he goes trotting out a pale imitation of the band year after year. I say it ALL THE TIME….so much respect for Led Zeppelin calling it quits after Bonhams death.

When Journey (touring with Pat Benatar and Loverboy) came to Montreal in 2012 with their new signer Arnel I just had to go see their show, never having seen them live before. My overall take on Journey’ s performance? although Arnel mastered vocally, it seemed just a little too perfect. Live shows are fun when the artist veer from their recorded tracks to improvise! For me, the show was kind of boring. But, Pat Benatar on the other hand killed her set!!
2:13 No offense to those bands like Journey,Styx or Kansas I like them but look at those bands that were playing at CBGBs at the time like like The Ramones,The Talking, Heads,The New York Dolls,Television,Patti Smith,Blondie and The Cars

Foreigner is a tribute band....I saw them with Lou and Mick and then with no originals. Their songs are so good I suppose anyone can front the band and sell tickets, like Journey with their various singers.
Styx is different. Saw them many times too. Their songs are epic too, and Gowan does a decent job but DeYoung is the man (saw him solo a couple of times---the man is timeless). Styx refuses to play "Babe" which every woman in the house would love to hear.....Shaw hates it so Gowan sings it solo.
John Waite is a legend. The equivalent of DeYoung.
So what to make of this? If you are a kid....see them while you can. The concert industry is dying (unlike you like Taylor Swift and other crap). If you are old like me....this is the best you got. Enjoy reliving your memories of the good ol' days when the radio played hits nonstop.

I'm of two minds about this. On the one hand, I'd be pretty pissed if I went to see Ted Nugent and Stevie Vai was on guitar. But I do have a question for you. Sucks that these guys(we'll call them a band)don't have the youth anymore. It kills me that I was born in an off-decade for knowing much about being able to see concerts and enjoy the music. As a 7th and 8th grader by 1981 both bands had already released their biggest albums 3-4 years previous and I was too young to enjoy them! Argh!

Unfortunately Mr DeY was the reason I didn't like them as much as I could have. But the two last foreigner albums were very good...Mr moonlight and the can't slow down albums.

Styx is still Styx. Dennis left many moons ago and JY and Tommy have carried on with great enthusiasm and success. Their shows never disappoint, and I have no issues with paying money to see them. If JY and/or Tommy Shaw quit, Styx is over. I do agree with you that Foreigner is nothing more than a tribute band and it is embarrassing that Styx has joined up with a tribute band. Rock on.
One more thing, Foreigner in the RRHOF is an insult to others. Until we get great bands like Bad Company, The Guess Who (the real Guess Who), Rainbow, Dan Fogelberg in the HOF, everything else is just insulting.
Styx without DDY is like Roger Waters without David Gilmour and the late Rick Wright. Styx didn't release a new album after 2003 until 2017 parallel to Roger Waters not releasing new music until 2 weeks before The Mission with Is This the Life We Really Want? Both were outside producers encouraging Styx and Roger to recreate their past.
Styx only has one original active member and that’s. JY. Shaw is like the Jonathan Cain of Styx. Replaced an original member and stayed in .
Then Tommy quit at the height of their success to go solo then join Damn Yankees who died when Grunge came along. Glen Burtnik replaced Tommy in 1990 and then Dennis hand picked Todd Suchermann to replace John Panozzo when he had health issues whereas JY wanted his solo band drummer.

Styx was the first band I saw live. I’ve always liked Styx. A great Prog-lite band. Certainly their last two albums are just as good as their prime 70s album. Gowan has managed to step into Dennis’ shoes quite comfortably. I will pay attention to any new releases if they are as good as the last couple. As far as Foreigner goes, they suck. They sucked back then and they suck even worse now.

Styx should have ended when John Panozzo died. Zeppelin ended when Bonzo died. Pink Floyd ended when Richard Wright died (although they unofficially ended in 2001 when David Gilmour said that he would not ever do another Pink Floyd album or tour again because he had settled down with his wife Polly Samson and were about to welcome their fourth child into the world).
Tommy has always had a problem with money and relationships with women like his hero Roger Waters.
Interesting I saw Tommy host Roger Waters programs on AXS while Dennis DeYoung’s biggest inspiration for making his Styx like solo albums as of 2007/2009 was hearing David Gilmour’s On an Island album.
Very few heritage bands are releasing new material these days at least Styx are, though sporadically. Even though Dennis de Young wrote most of the hits, especially the sickening , Babe, the deep dive songs that are fan & concert favourites are written and sung by Tommy Shaw. I believe Styx are still far more credible than the faux version of Foreigner.

Both bands are meh to me, but I understand people want to hear their hits. These were pretty much faceless bands-they all kind of blend together, except for DeYoung whos not even there. The audience likely have no clue who's who.
How many original members are left in Deep Purple? No Rod Evans no Deep Purple by your take on Styx. Only Paice does that mean Ringo could go out as the Beatles? Seems ok by your standards. A little consistency on your takes would be nice.

Styx won't ever resolve their issue with Deyoung. Tommy Shaw and James TY Young have said in an interview they wanted no part in working with Dennis ever again. Dennis have even said in a article he regretted suing the band. pretty much permanently broke the camel's back. the band especially Tommy Shaw moan, groan, and gripped about Dennis's concept album ideas but low and behold they did one without him. making them look like a bunch of hypocrites. Tommy on VH1 showed his aggrieves over Kilroy was here tour and decades later, they decided to perform Mr. Roboto on stage a few years ago.

Even with substitute band members Foreigner sounds awesome. Worth the ticket price. I have a problem with Styx minus Dennis de Young. Lawrence Gowan sounds NOTHING like him.
Go, don't go, it doesn't matter one bit to me, and I'm not arguing that this band SHOULD still call itself Foreigner, but the assertion that your local cover band is as good as Tommy Shaw, Jeff Pilson (or even Lawrence Gowan) is laughable on it's face.
There is no Foreigner. There are no original members and their tour should be called Joke Box Zeros.
