It looked like there was something, some kind of yellow packaging maybe, about to come out of the pipe on the left at the very end of the last clip.
I think that may have been a one way valve cover to prevent stuff from going back up the drain.

One thing I've learned from this videos is that there is no standard manhole depth. Some are really deep but others incredibly shallow. That surprises me, I'd have thought there was a "standard" or "required" depth.

They shouldn't be too solid. They should be formed but not "solid" which breaks up easily in water. If they're solid you need to eat more fibre
pipes install with minimum fall, then move, and become level, why does no one install pipes at twice the fall, , why do you think "plumber" is a swear word

I've been doing this same job for years but in the south west. I couldn't agree you you and more. But you would never believe how a little bit of disinfectant bleach ect makes them soo happy..... I get the clean up maybe
