I can never pronounce Frank Giacoia's name right! My apologies.

Aaron, do you know about the Fire and Ice prequel comic by Dynamite? I read it and the book was really good. Bill Willingham is the writer.

Wow. Nice, Aaron. I've always enjoyed the Avengers since I started reading comics. My first comic was a Detective comics issue but the Avengers were one of my favourites. I never really understood the whole mutant craze with X-Men; I much preferred the Avengers. Not that Claremont and Byrne weren't a great team, but it's tough to match Englehart's writing on Cap and the Avengers.
And a 9.2 as well, so great pickup. The only thing is you can't read those slabbed things, but I understand collectors want them for their resale value. I'm merely a reader. Weird that the background on the cover is in yellow instead of green; I suppose the yellow makes the characters pop more than a darker green would. It's also a bit strange that comics prices are reflected by movies, since current movies have little to nothing to do with the original stories in the comics, which are almost always better and more interesting character wise. Oh and also, comics then entertained the readers instead of preaching at them; hopefully we'll be returning to that successful business model very soon.
I haven't read most of the Avengers between the end of the Cap's Kooky Quartet era and the start of the Avengers/Defenders saga, because as you know in the 1970s Marvel did a lot of reprint stories for comics like Spider-Man and the Avengers and I read a ton of those. So this book is right in the gap in my knowledge, when Hawkeye put down his bow and became Hank Pym's stand in as Goliath, which was a bit bizarre to me. Eventually he ditched that and donned that "stylish" blue archer costume. Thankfully he eventually went back to his original togs. They may be purple and blue but they work well with the character.

I agree. I was never an X-men fan. I liked the Simonsons on X-Factor, though.

Nice looking issue. When it comes to names it's difficult to know how to pronounce the names unless you hear them say it. Then again, look at John Buscema, his name is said on How to Draw Comics the Marvel Way. And his name is still pronounced wrong. What are ya gonna do?

Which issue do you get asked to sign the most at conventions, Aaron?

Wakanda forever and the woke stories in the comics kinda killed the black panther
