Sleep Token are a masked, anonymous collective of musicians united by their worship of an ancient deity crudely dubbed “Sleep,” since no modern tongue can properly express its name. Even today, though faded from prominence, Sleep yet lurks in the subconscious minds of man, woman, and child alike. Fragments of beauty, horror, anguish, pain, happiness, joy, anger, disgust, and fear coalesce to create expansive, emotionally textured music that simultaneously embodies the darkest, and the brightest abstract thoughts. He has seen them. He has felt them. He is everywhere.
Sleep Token, led by the perpetually tormented Vessel, creates music that brings to the fore our most submerged thoughts and feelings, coaxing them from the desolate, terrifying caves of our subconscious mind.

Nazareth is a great song. It’s one of their oldest ones, but it’s ages like fine wine
I love Sugar so much. there are a lot of songs from Sundowning I love, and I would LOVE to hear them redo a couple of them with their improved vocals and production. Worship.
I love the part when he starts getting a lil more aggressive I love his tone and the passion and aggressiveness of those words. But my fave lyrics are " my arms keep you in the room barely let you move.
Dark Signs and Jaws would be right up your alley!!
But Higher and The Offering are amazing harder stuff, too. That shouldn't be missed.

Do Bloodsport - Not from the room below. Most people recommend the piano only version (from the room below) it’s good!!! but the album version is so much better if you like the metal elements fused into their stuff.

I think that listening to the "One" EP is a good thing to do if u're trying to understand them. Those songs somehow remind me of the new ones, those are pretty long songs (6/7 minutes) but just amazing.

I recommend Calcutta and Nazareth those are really emotional and very dark and the video for Calcutta you can see part of his face if your curious but the lyrics to it a absolutely beautiful and his voice is just perfect.

I love this song one of my faves. I believe they are talking about the Norse goddess of sleep or night her name is Nott she is supposed to have skin dark as night and the runes on thier masks I believe are Norse or viking
I meant to also say that I believe he paints his body black in worship and to show his love a and loyalty to Nott/sleep. And that is just from me finding something about the Norse gods and goddess from another fan that is really into viking lore and it just makes sense. But the songs pretty much tell the story of vessel and his love/hate relationship with sleep and the emotional journey through his music you feel every emotion with him. At least that's what I get from this band and that heart broken man that no matter what still adores and only wants to make the one he loves happy and show his unconditional love and loyalty too. Does that sound crazy?
