Was going to drop Ryu and pick up a charge character bc they're easier with a fight stick. But I'm motivated to use Ryu still and just need to practice execution more. He seems to be getting slightly better as people like you discover and share tips for him, and who knows what a balance update with bring. Thanks again for the help

@@GrimRony Here's an example with enough corner carry to start from just about mid-stage. Costs 4 drive gauge.
[...] > DR > cr HP > HP hashogeki, DR > cr HP > HK donkey kick [+42F safejump]
The first part represented by [...] could be many different variations depending on the situation, e.g.
[shimmy] st HP ...
[blocked ex dp, ex headbutt, etc] st HK, st HP ...
[successful crossup attack] jump MK, st MP, cr MP ...

@@machoortv The earliest I'm likely to get to making a video is the end of the month because of work but there are 2 mid screen jumps I know. I'll share them with you now.
The first you actually already know as you included it here but it also works mid-screen. The shimmy with counter hit crHP, H fake-fireball, DR, crHP, HDK, jump forwards. It will work from the starting position in the training room but I'd recommend just slightly their side of mid screen to be consistent in an actual game. It's the same equation, you give up damage to put them in the corner with a safe jump.
The second is slightly more tricky but if you time it right is a bit more consistent in terms of corner carry. It's the same crumple state idea. You hit a counter hit HK, he falls to his knees, then HP into drive rush. This is the tricky bit - you delay your crHP as long as possible. If you don't you'll go underneath the opponent and miss. If you've timed it right you will have gotten as much corner push out of the DR as possible then confirm it into HDK. You've then got the forward safe jump on an opponent who is now in the corner. Once again, you're giving up a bit of damage for positioning and a setup.

Machoor i just faced a 80000lp marisa and i took about 80-90% health off her. I had charge and i jumped and hit her with a combo and set her to corner with heavy donkey and then set uo
The combo with super 3. Perfect

Does this possibly create a purpose for ex hashogeki since it creates a linkable crumble? Also do you still use a meaty standing back hk?
thats gona be situational since u need to do a denjin charge for the ex hashogeki to crumble. for consistency you can just do an ex tatsu in the corner and then do a light hashogeki and it will set up the same safe jump he is showing in the video without the need to have to drive rush in and then cancel into heavy donkey kick.
I don't quite get it, does heavy donkey give you the tumble always or only when the start of the combo is punish/counter?

Not all the time there are different timings depending on how it is started
