This is why I don't like watching content creators who whale for characters so that they can just oneshot everything, especially story bosses where the game literally lowers the difficulty down so even a F2P could still beat it.
But not all the whaler out there are totally bad, I've seen some CC bringing an E6 Acheron to this battle and they just prevent themselves from using her Ult because they are afraid that they could kill the boss too quickly and just want to see how its mechanic works or even listen to its voicelines and stuff like that.
bruh i've never spent money on star rail and i broke the boss' shield before the ult... either you dont know how to team build or you have major skill issues. Plus, its not that deep a few voice lines and ult animation that Gacha Smack prob doesn't even care about.

@@Rockst4ry I had to run double sustain to not die (Gallagher+Bailu), and my only lightning, imaginary, or fire DPS characters was Dr. ratio... Also that ult animation was actually clean af. I agree that the voicelines weren't too important though.

Sunday occured to me as a brainwashed occultist than an evil mastermind. But somehow he still got the decency to protect her sister (or atleast tried to) even they can't see eye to eye. Most occultist will sacrifice everything for the sake of their beliefs.

For all those laughing on Sunday and TB lines. Yeah, maybe it feels weak, but totally makes sense. Remember! Sunday just want to stay in the dreams, because it's really in order and fully customized for him to be "the lone star to guide ppl" so he doesn't want to wake up from it. TB's answer was hitting him in the weak spot for that.
"The night is still too short." Sunday really in shock, and still doesn't believe or wants to believe the dream of order is stopped already, and ppl are awakening. He wanted it to be longer or perhaps.. for ever! Robin comes at the end to confirm more for him. "The dream is over!" Wake up, brother, live with us in the realty.
So yeah, all make sense at the end.
I tried commenting something similar and got some guy trying REALLY hard to debate me on HSR and how my enjoyment of the Penacony storyline is wrong and I should feel bad for enjoying it and TB's line at the end there lol

3:58:50 naah, it wasn’t cringe at all. it’s the best answer to why life slumbers which is the main question of this whole penacony arc. It’s not impactful maybe but it’s the best answer, and considering they were trapped in a dream it fits the moment.

well tbh if you know HI3 lore and you watch the Myriad Celestia trailer it actually shows you it is Raiden Mei as the 12 is the Herrschers, then in the end Raiden Mei becomes Herrscher of Origin and Kiana Herrscher of Finality the Myriad Celestia trailer just takes it further and shows when she "Killed" end she became Naught "Nihility" looking at HSR lore she became a self-annihilator to kill Nihility and Nihility knows it why they allowed it is beyond me maybe Nihility because it is the end of all wishes an end onto themselves.
"We will wake from our dreams" is less corny/cringe than you think. Lot of streamers like to make fun of that line for some reason.
Everyone else's answer to "why does life slumber" is some dumb, lofty, shit. Sunday especially thinks that the dream is the be all end all. The solution to everyone's problems. The Trailblazer points out the simple truth: a dream is a temporary respite from life. The dream only has significance because there's a real life to return to.
he knows about the implication of the sentence. but the delivery of that sentence really reminds me a lot of corny ass friendship power shounen. so despite that the meaning is good, i still think the delivery could be better.

Everyone in life will eventually find their own answer - to resist or to obey fateb - but these questions do not belong to Trailblaze. Although, I fear this question may simply be too profound. I fear even Akivili THEMSELF would not be able to provide a single answer that is unique to Trailblaze. However, as a Nameless... as a person... we have the right to reflect. We have the right to act. We have the right to define our own endings. We have the right to move forward. As we advance down the road to our own ending, there are many things that people are capable of, and our endings will thus take on a completely new meaning. A Nameless does not indulge in temporary dreams, nor would they forsake their birth rights due to pain and suffering.
Do you still recall the question I left in my invitation letter, Trailblazer? "Why does life slumber?"
"People slumber so that, eventually, they can awaken from their dreams." ...This is the answer that an old Nameless devoted his entire life to finding.

People in the stream chat saying "prewatched" are self-reporting their naiveté and/or their lack of ability to do basic analysis on the fly. You have to be dense as hell to not figure out almost immediately the first Harmonious Choir battle wasn't the end. He had a single HP bar. That alone is enough to know. Then as you go it just keeps laying it on thick. After 'waking up' March uses the exact same line as she did at the very beginning of the game. Jing Yuan calling us "Galactic Baseballer" twice when literally no one outside of the trailblazer ever said that before. The IPC becoming self-sacrificing to an absurd degree. Deference of the simulated universe project when we know there are real life reasons that can't happen. Going back to the Express to plan our next destination immediately despite knowing it's way too soon for that.
Combine all that with the entire theming of Penacony (dreams) and it really doesn't take a genius or require hindsight to figure it out on the fly. Other JRPGs have pulled this very bit before too. Penacony's theme and Sunday's character likely drew inspiration from P5R's third semester and Takuto Maruki.
The fact that we didn't choose the team before the first boss battle is also a hint

At the same time "it's not that serious, bro" is often used as a fall back defense when there are people making genuine statements on something. In this case I'm way more inclined to believe this was mostly the latter.

Sucked I had to sleep right after the "final" fight so my opinion was pretty bad at that point. But I do love how it progressively becomes more and more obvious till its straight up said, that this shit ain't done. That said, they did drag it a bit too long. Anyone that did not realize by the time the "too good to be true" dialogue option that came up was never going to realize. The whole train bit was like zzzzzz
I think the "Aventurine is gay" claims are almost entirely due to how much his English VA embellishes the zesty shtick.

In my very humble opinion this story update and finale was 💩
- we had to sit through 3 hours of Aventurine story and the significance of him putting his life on the line just to be TOLD the he left the dream off screen.
- a dream in a dream and they all woke up. I don’t need to say why this is all too old. “It was all a dream” sure
- we did not need to be told the history of Penacony 3 times accross 3 updates and the last time have the local chicken wing theater kid put up a whole stage for us to understand. That was unbearable.
- supposedly Firefly had to die 2 more times. Acheron said she made a great sacrifice. How? Where? When? Again, it was all off screen. It pisses me off the way things are told and not shown.
- what about Sparkle?! And her buttons and explosives hello??
A finale should be exciting, should be snappy. All the threads leading hee should be woven together and make sense. Boothill had absolutely no business being in the story as long as he was.
They were trying to sell banners and it ruined the story. It was so lackluster.

@@omensoffate imo 2.1 was worse because of the extended aventurine story. he kept repeating the same "gaiathra tricilops hates us" shit for every screen time. if he had a short backstory then yeah that would be fine, the past and future were unnecessary . 2.1 REALLY focused HARD on aventurine.
