Alright, here I go explaining this entire situation again.
Stop asking me to go back to Genshin, or telling me that I'm falling back into spending habits and that you're worried about me.
I said I will be f2p for Honkai unless people deliberately donate to get me to roll, because at that point its not my money and I don't care what people want me to do with it (not my money, not my problem), if people want to get the gacha pull fun out of watching someone else, they can. But I am playing this game because I loved the style, loved the music, heard it was leaning more towards satire and especially was turn based combat. Of course I was going to cave to try it one of these days.
Now onto why I stopped playing Genshin so people can stop making rumors on why, since I saw some people just make the wrong assumptions lol.
The reason I stopped was Genshin fans in general. They would leak into everything I was doing, any stream that wasn't Genshin I would be bombarded by people telling me to play Genshin instead, I would mind my own business uploading anything else? Genshin fans would complain. It very much soured my fun with the game, as well as just not being interested in the characters anymore, nor the story being very bland and slow for me. Especially now, people getting angry at my own personal opinion of the game is just repeating the cycle of why I never want to get back.
HSR so far has been super pleasant, I like the designs, I like the characters, I feel much more comfortable playing this game.
I hope you enjoy HSR, it only gets more hilarious from here on out.

As much as I love Genshin I get why people drop it, I'm sorry that the annoying part of the Fandom has bothered you so much, not everyone will like genshin and some people just need to understand that, I do think Honkai is more your style :D Honkai is way more silly and has a interesting story, enjoy it and can't wait too see what else is to come in the future ^^
I can completely understand why that would sour Genshin for you. People need to learn to let others just do what they wanna do and play what they wanna play.

@@boxorakI actually despise Kafka (as a character). Her design is… nice I guess? The boob-harness thing puts me off the most, but I get the appeal. Her coat and color scheme is sick tho.
She’s so manipulative and an actual bad guy (can’t use the T word), she also has mind control, and I hate her attitude.
There’s a side mission that she asks you for help to smuggle someone else off-world. Y’know, after causing so many problems to you and your companions. And she expected me to be a good boy and obey. I told her “no” until she gave up.
I got an achievement. I liked the achievement :)
The way I audibly loudly gasped when Shenpai said just said “I was not sponsored”. This is honestly amazing.

@@danielbarnes1241 i don't think it is a gemshin thing tho. Every community of every game has a dark side, unfortunately that side is the one that makes more noise. That goes for genshin, star rail and even honkai impact. Of course as gemshin has the biggest community of the three it also has the biggest number of stupid people. Anyways I don't think gemshins community is particularly toxic when we look at the great scheme of the gaming industry.
For the past 6 months I've been expecting RT to break and finally try Honkai and I cannot believe that Shen did it first

Not when it's as underused as it is in HSR. There's way too little science fiction in the fiction. Basicly the only futuristic thing on penacony, belobog and the loufu are random robot enemies.

I got clara rlly early too, mained the hell outta her for most of my time playing the game, she is so fun! Also I'm such a sucker for the robot with feelings and the "small adorable character melting heart of big stoic character and then big stoic character protects them at all costs" tropes, they are genuinely my favourites and they're encapsulated in this one character!

God I can 100% understand why Shen distanced herself from Genshin, as someone who still plays it on a casual basis. The amount of bullshit some of the fans do in the fanbase is the reason why it has gotten such a reputation in the first place. I'm also trying out Star Rail and currently having a lot of fun with it (not to mention the rewards feel somewhat more forgiving than Genshin)

As a former Genshin player, I've been enjoying Star Rail so much that I have it on my phone just in case I can't get home in time to play it on my pc.
Of course it's not perfect, like seriously the Xianzhou part took way too long and didn't feel as personal as Jarilo. But it's not as bad some players would complain.
This is actually the first gacha game that I intentionally avoid leaks and spoilers because I love the story so much and want to experience it myself first.

Honestly HSR is a really good game! It has this persona vibe with the turn-based system and the flashy animation for the skills and ult.
The story is also very interesting, especially the current chapters. It's a game you can play occasionally or for hours.
Hopefully you will do more HSR streams and videos in the future! :D
I got Bronya after losing my 50/50 trying to get Jing Yuan, so I spent a solid chunk of the next day doing quests to get enough to get another 10 draw, and got him. I was having fun too since I could feel everything getting stronger, and it feels like I level up way quicker.
I didn't know her and RT knew each other, hell yeah!
