I am exactly at this stage with my 12 week old GSP. I have been following your training courses and am amazed at how much my little guy can do. Thanks so much!
I just bought the program. Looking forward to getting started in 3 weeks when we pick up our pup. We got our last pointer at 7 and while he was fairly well trained he had some...isms that I hope to eliminate by starting with a pup.
5:31 you pause here and notice the dog needs to poo (which you comment about 5 seconds later) How did you know that? What exactly did you see there? Edit: I see she didn’t poo. But what were you seeing that you read (or misread)?
I just got my 5 month old GSP two days ago and I don't know where to start 😔. Although I've had him sleep in his crate since the first night and thank goodness he's done really well! His potty habits are pretty good too. But we need to work on his manners and leash habits for sure.
I'm not sure we're the best to ask advice on this one as it's so personal and we're obviously obsessed with our GSPs: th-cam.com/video/j-0nQDnTIgs/w-d-xo.html
I’ve got a 3ish month old English setter. And I’ve been binge watching all your guys episodes to soak everything I can up. He’s been great and a lot of fun to train. This is my first dog that I own and really the first dog I’ve ever properly been training. I’ve learned so much from you guys so thank you. One question I have is how can I teach my puppy to stay within my yard, I unfortunately live in a small town with other dogs that are not chained or leashed on neighbors properties so I been really nervous about others dogs, my neighbors dog already comes into my yard after we go out to potty. Is it too early to use a e collar recall training to help with learning to stay in my yard. I’ve used a e collar one training session with a leash to help guide if needed. For kenneling him to his bed. He took that really well and picked up on it super quick. I don’t want to have to use a leash for all our training session when I move them outside. Second question should I be worried or look into doing some training sessions if my puppy recently got scared by taking the trash cans to the curb? He’s seems scared of them but that’s the first sign I’ve seen him get scared like that. Is something like this normal for a puppy to be frightened by and be just fine when comes to gun conditioning?

We are letting her jump on our legs to work through it. We want to work on rewarding the behaviors we want to see. When she gets older around the 16 week mark we will then start correcting it! We hope this helps!

Hahah! Slight distraction, sniffing around and her butt looking similar to the turkey temp buttons!
Hello. Have you done a video on how to teach a pup to hold the dummy? Regards.
I think this one might help: th-cam.com/video/2_dzblSZzrY/w-d-xo.html
My GSP is 9 months old. He can sit and shake but is it too late to teach him more of these commands?
It's never too late to train a dog! You can always teach an old dog new tricks, but sometimes it will take longer!

I really want to get a dog but I’m nervous I’ve tried fostering before and didn’t go so well and I always get the puppy blues the first cpl nights

Asking because I don’t know-why do you allow the dog to jump up on you/on your legs during training? When do you train them to stop?
We are letting her jump on our legs to work through it. We want to work on rewarding the behaviors we want to see. When she gets older around the 16 week mark we will then start correcting it! We hope this helps!
