More than 10 years on from this lesson, you’re still helping people Marty. I love this song but thought playing Santana was out of my reach. Now it at least feels like I can make a pretty good start so thank you.
Coming back to remember one little part of this song I forgot and man !! Can’t believe this was one of the first songs I ever learned on guitar 14 years ago I’m 32 now thanks Marty
Marty you are a dancer my friend. The way you explain and slow things down is just perfect. I don't always get tabs, but the way you explain makes it so much easyer. Keep rocking Amigo. A big thanks G
Marty my friend, i started out only three years ago, and like most learners i tried being ambitious and tried this without luck, then 2 days ago i found your video, and in two days i've cracked this than you very much mate one of the easiest to follow
sorry to be so offtopic but does anyone know a tool to log back into an instagram account?? I stupidly lost my password. I would appreciate any tips you can give me!
@Desmond Samuel I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im trying it out atm. Seems to take quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
Thank you for no links for the tabs, seriously. I use to rely so much on tabs. Your videos make me listen and pay attention to what you're playing. If something isn't explained thoroughly, I mess around on the guitar until I find that note I am looking for. These are all great habit I have picked up from watching your videos. I look forward to playing this for years to come! Thank You!
thanks Marty , I know this tune but played it different positions , this helps keep it from getting boring , mixin it up a bit . you're definitely in top 10 yt lessons , you know a guy got his chops together when he can put it across clearly and make it look so easy and yes , I've been playing that second part wrong all these years throwing in one too many notes just before the fourths at A , thanks
Nice Marty! I love this tune. Especially on the record when the engineer brings the volume up on the organ. I thought of Carlos as being a "very passionate" player after hearing this song. I was really moved.
Williams Reaves, I agree! Wow, this video is at least 10 years old. Marty was a lot younger then and --- well --- we all were :) I don't know if you've gotten through part 2 of this lesson, but I'm looking forward to it after I finish -- Part 1. Great song!
i've seen another version of playing, but this is so much as it helps getting used to moving your fingers and hand around the guitar more. Great titorial as always
Your so awesome Marty been with u since day one ty when ever I have a no sure moment on chord I check u out try always you're the best master teacher !
This is a beauty. Thank you! It was so hard for me til I played it at a slower speed. Then I could follow it. My advice is to any new player is to dim the lights and light a candle play the video step slower and the magic will happen
@RobBanx100: since E min is played without pressing E string, there has to be standard tuning. If it was dropped to D, you'd have to press E on third fret.
Trying to learn how to play this , it has a lot of meaning to me me and my brother used to play this and he passed away I am barely learning how to play but I want this to be my first song
brilliant marty , very informative and well played, unfortunately I got the tab for this tune off the web and it's totally different to yours, so now I'll have to try and learn it all over again, keep on rockin, MrVintagetony, is there anywhere I can get your tabs, I'm only a learner.
i have been learn a lot with you.. and JaylobosJL the original song is a little bit faster than what he play in the sec 38.. but if you hear close marty is right!... Thanks for all the lessons Marty! you Rock!
Wow ... I agree ... no hat Marty. WTF? LOL Oh! There it is ha ha ha! Always love watching your videos man. I was a blues member at your site for a year and it was a w e s o m e! Unbelievable how much lessons from a very good teacher make. Wish I lived next door to you so we could jam. ;-)
big thanks for that lesson! sometimes youre too fast, so i have to rewind and rewind again, it was just a problem because i havent found the tabs that youre using. even works on acoustic (except of the bending part)
Marty I live to play guitar and I really am in desperate need of a one and I have no means of getting one and I was wondering if u have any give aways coming up ...
