What is your reason for travelling?
So many reasons, and the principal one to find my piece of paradise somewhere in the world!
My reason for travelling is to feed my childlike need to discover new things, new places, new people. Observe, dive into the new environment and enjoy every single moment.
To get away from the stress of everyday life to just be in the moment with the people I love.
The sense of peace I get when I arrive at a viewpoint after a long hike or when you experience something new and profound like an epic sunset in an epic location and its almost like a spiritual experience. Those moments are what make me keep picking up my gear and going back out the door again and again.
Reason is to meet my soulmate somewhere down there. I am sure, it will happen. Thanks for making this beautiful vlog. 😍🤗❤️

Next time you and Chris come back to Alberta come in december and get up close to the natural bridge and in jasper walk athabasca falls. Snow in June is not unusual, they are already calling for snow here in Calgary for September 23-30th and Mt Allen has snow on top. My backyard will soon be a winter wonderland again.

Aww man I just lost my Dad 2 years ago and it still feels like yesterday... He was my hero... Like literally my HERO... My house burned when I was 2 years old and he refused to wait on the fire department... He ran a house so hot his shoes stuck to the floor and he ran out of them. My father ran on a scorching-hot floor and saved my life.... My life is just now taking off and I wish I could just sit down and talk to him.... Thank you for this video. I needed this inspiration as I am almost done with film school.

Travelling is hands down my favourite thing to do. I basically work hard to be able to travel as often as we can. Ideally I’d love to make Travel part of my job so i can travel even more often. Hopefully some day I can make that reality. Thanks for sharing your story with us. You’re an inspiration my friend! 🙏🏼

This is a beautiful short film, my grandfather never got to travel much. He's never been out of the country. He recently broke his hip and is recovering slowly. I've FaceTimed him and my father wherever I go because I want them to see what I see and where I am. Thanks for this video. The reason I travel is to create memories because materials don't matter, its the things we created and the relationships we made while on this earth!

My grandma and grandpa were such huge travelers as well. My grandma passed away two years ago and I wish I told her that she inspired me to travel. The dedication at the end made me burst into tears!! You’re so talented.

My grandparents are a huge inspiration to me too. They lived in Montana, Alaska, Utah and New Mexico before coming back home to Kentucky to be closer to us, their grandkids. This is the best video I've seen from you so far. I'm crying as I'm typing this. Keep it up Chris.

To be honest, this is how a travel film should be made. Story behind it, purpose behind the footage, capable of easily transporting you to that place. Not just a compilation of AE transitions & glitches with obnoxious electronic music that makes me want to smash my computer to the ground haha

Dude you made me cry with this. I literally just got off the phone with my grandma before I watched this. I had it set to play. My grandparents traveled all over the United States in their motor home and even through Canada to get to Alaska a few times. Beautiful tribute. I hope that I get to travel again soon. Loved this.

My father is the reason why I take photos and video, which has made me get out of the house more. I may film a video like this for my father. He needs to know how important he is to me in my life. Oh man...this is an incredible video. The premise of the conversation with your grandmother, and context that your love of travel was inspired by her and your grandfather's travels was very moving. Chris this is something special, for years I kinda push the feeling of my constant need for travel away because of money. This has inspired me to really put travel as something I will do through my whole life. There is just something different when you step outside your comfort zone to a new place. So many beautiful places and cultures in the world.
Man I just shed a tear (more like A LOT). This video is beautiful, and the fact that you talked to your grandma and did it in memory of your grandpa is so lovely. Lately I had been remembering my grandma (that passed away two years ago) and how she has inspired me to do so much things. So this is like a jewel so I can end my week well. Chris this was the most impactful and emotional film you’ve ever created. First off the story for this made it EXTREMELY great but you mixed that with footage that was unbelievably professional! The passing, story, music, mix of focal lengths and drone shots made this a film I will be re watching again and again. 3 days I’ll be in Banff myself!
This made me cry because I also used to go traveling with my grandpa who passed away 2 years ago. It was always my goal to get a car and take him to some of the places he took me while he could. Unfortunately... that's not possible anymore. However, that keeps the fire lit in my to push for my goals and live the life of my dreams.

I travel because it make me whole. It connects me with the important stuff, each day and what we see as we travel, is unique as it will be different tomorrow. I was filming today in a spot I photographed less than 7 days ago and what I saw and photographed was entirely different and special. I travel and collect photos and video to share my experiences hoping to bring joy, a smile and yes even a tear.

This is a beautiful tribute, a beautiful video, a beautiful message. I'm writing this comment with a slight tear running down my face because this touched me so much. My grandparents are the source of so much of the daily inspirations I have in life. They didn't travel, I don't have that in common, but the impact they've had on me is second to none, and I loved seeing that reflected in the narrative of this film. Again, incredibly done. Your creativity and talent and storytelling are remarkable and touching.

The edit, the colors, the voice over and the music all put together so perfectly! These kinds of videos are what inspire me to travel, feeling the way you did on your trip and the people it reminded you of, these are only a few of the reasons I travel. It feels so good to be somewhere new and in the middle of it all thinking, "I bet ____ would love to be here right now."

The shots in Jasper brought me back to when I lived right beside Pyramid Lake. Woke up every morning to a view that never seemed anything short of spectacular and I still think about how lucky I was constantly. You never just get used to it.

Sorry for your loss Chris, I know it’s tough to lose anyone you know. Especially somebody close or that was such a significant source of love and inspiration for you... but this was a beautiful video!! Very well done. I felt like I was at a campfire, late in the evening with my family and friends just talking about whatever life throws in our boats. Enjoying time together, the cold air and heart warming smiles. Kinda nostalgic and specific😂 but I really liked this video! I travel with a similar intention. I went with my grandparents to Denmark and Amsterdam and it fostered a love of seeing places! It even led me to my career choice of architecture (photography now, but I was hooked on what I saw in Europe). Thanks man, made me smile this morning😄

Ah man! That's one of the best videos I've ever watched! As someone who's been raised by his grandparents, two people who always told me stories from all over the world, that really hit home! And on so many levels! Been getting more and more into photography lately, binging all you guys' videos. AND I'm part way through my immigration to Canada and seeing all these videos from you guys based there is just affirming everything I feel I want to experience. Super job!
