Oh man that final minute - you run so fast. It looks hard but thrilling too. What a showing! Congrats on a great run! PS. those slippers look damn good
I enjoyed the video, Spencer! You were one second away from tying your previous record! Of course you know that, but Wow, that was really entertaining!
Spencer - WOW, 14:53 despite your training having been way down. I'm totally impressed. I think you should consider running in the Open mens division in the US cross country championships next month in Lubbock, Texas. The date is Jan 11th, 2025 and you can sign up at the USA T&F website. Lubbock is about 575 miles from Boulder. Of course NOW I finally get why Allie is not running in the Cross Country Championship - I of course had no idea she had to have surgery. I'm really happy it worked out well for her and I know you're happy too. But yea, I think you should jump in the Lubbock XC meet. I {THINK} that race is the actual team selection for the World Championship in Tallahassee {Jan 2026} because I don't think USA T&F is going to have another US XC championship in 2025. If they did, it would have to be November or December. I see NOTHING on the schedule for those months - which is why I think the Lubbock race IS the team selection. And if I'm right, you never know, you could get top 6 and you'd be running in Tallahassee in 2026. And if I'm wrong, what have you got to lose ?? Hope to see you next month in Lubbock.
I’m not sure what you’ve done, maybe moving away from the track races, but you seem to be in better shape both physically and mentally than the past 2years. Keep up the hard work.
No spoiler prediction, 14:40 5k Edit: Only 1 second off your PR on rainy conditions, seems pretty good. I think you can break 14:30 for the 5k next time you come back.
Wait Are Bombas socks for running???? I was looking through my collection of socks one time in the past year before a race like "What should I deem as my 'Race Socks' out of all of these... These look good... 'Bombas'? Never heard of that but these feel comfy" (I was thinking something along that) and I saw your sponsor than I was like "wait a sec..." thats actually crazy I love those things, I have longer ones and shorter ones so I can always have a preference on race day, I 1000% recommend, and now The Athlete special has mad me want to buy more lol.
well, seattle has that same gloomy, drizzly weather for 10 months of the year, so just drop in anytime. Not sure how I survived all those years without anti-depressants...
I live in north Caroline where the wether seems to think it’s funny, I ran. 10k last Saturday and was hopping to pr and run sub 35( slow I know but I’m working on it) and it got there and it was below 25 degrees and I was freezing, did the race, got it over with, didn’t pr, next day, sunny, 65 degrees and it felt great……..this wether thinks it’s funny
This is actually what we came to Seattle for. The surgery was just a side quest.
Hope you're doing well.
😂
new fear unlocked: Spencer coming to my local parkrun
Fr
Bro should do like a meetup tour to local parkruns
😂😂😂😂
14:53 is insane! I know you want more and that is what makes you so fun to watch. Proud of your Spencer!
Rain adjusted time was a 14:05, pretty sure.
there's absolutely no way that light rain in a t shirt has a 40+ seconds effect over a 5k lol
@@fountainwater9sometimes it can but I don't think that was the case this time
@@fountainwater9It's a joke
@@fountainwater9 doesn't know what a joke is 💀
@@fountainwater9 its a joke lol
1453 is my current best mile time, not as good when i was a HS Track star, but at 63 at least i am out of the grave..lol
Still an insane time in those conditions! You should be proud bud!

I swear, you literally make my day 100x better when I see a new vid from you😊
You would have beaten it with no rain
Thank you Will for filming
At this point bro should be the ambassador for local 5k run all over America. Kudos to you Spence😊
Really good effort coming off an injury and without much sharpening. Congrats!
No rain would have been a 14:40
I enjoyed the video, Spencer! You were one second away from tying your previous record! Of course you know that, but Wow, that was really entertaining!

So amazing to see Parkrun spread globally. I’m from the UK and love Parkrun as a community activity. Good effort buddy!

Awesome run 🙌 Wish well to Allie and her recovery 🙏
Good job Spencer! 🔥🔥

Love this!!! Btw come to Australia, we have so many awesome Parkruns for you to try hehe… 🌞🙌🏼
Great job! Rain was a factor. Still amazing.
A great run in not so great weather!
Hey Spencer, love your videos, would it be possible in future to add the pace/km as a little note on screen when you say the pace per mile?
That's close. Great effort.
Great effort man
What diet should I be eating to get a sub 15
Rain really weighs down your shoes and clothing, epic effort!
When doesn’t it rain in Seattle between November and March??
Would still love to see you do the Goggins challenge! But great video nonetheless!!
I almost did that parkrun on Sat, but the weather was awful. Too wet for me 🤣
No spoiler prediction, 14:40 5k

Honestly very impressive, in the cold rain, after an injury, it’s in the bag next time fs
Without a doubt, you need to give it another attempt. That’s rain must have dragged your time down

well, seattle has that same gloomy, drizzly weather for 10 months of the year, so just drop in anytime. Not sure how I survived all those years without anti-depressants...

“It was only 4;52” …
Nice man I am 13 and I just ran a 18:30
Did the camera man get a PB??
Awful conditions and probably to cold for top performance so you gone get 6 bonus seconds.
Grest Pacing even mile splits.

Do you use a oura ring?
If so how do you like it?
