Red dots are great. If you have dark background but can see the rats silhouette, you can see where you are pointing. But with old scho pellet its lost case
No nessacerily, the quality red dots are rather good even on a sunny day . However I think the 2240 is aimed at pest control in sheds, outbuildings etc but equally at home.innback yard for plinking. Not sure what meant by old school pellet ? Thanks for.commenting tho and hope you are well 🙏
@@mikesabz thanks im well thanks to God. Old school i meant springer amd normal open sights. Buuuut i forgot to mention i saw mice in tree one evening so there was only streetlights or light outside house. I think my dog saw them first and looked up and saw them running on branches. Now my pellet gun with sights being mostly black.... Its black sights on black silhouette at night. If i had red dot then i could take shot
It's about time someone told the truth about the shot per CO2 capacity on this baby. I've heard 60 shots time and time again in other reviews...to the point I thought mine was defective...well almost. As hard and accurate as it was hitting leaned me more towards B.S. on the number of shots. Thanks for confirming my personal experience. You ROCK!!! Great review and subscribed.
@@dirtyharry5957 Yes I would. Get the 2240xl. It has a steel breach witch not only increases accuracy but also longevity of the pistol. It hits very hard I was getting around 500 fps for the first few shots and it will whip through a tuna can no problem. Have other pistols and they are fun for straight plinking but if you need something to take out pests this is the best buy for your money. Hoped that helps.
@@dirtyharry5957 No problem...you will not be sorry with this purchase. You will love the heft of this pistol when in hand. My only gripe are the grips (almost rhymed there...). A pistol of this quality screams for better. I splurged on a pair of ebony target grips and it finishes the piece nicely. Happy shooting. Regards. Congac.
@@tommyboy6267 I bought the 2240 and an adapter and silencer as well as a little laser dot sight. You can hardly hear any noise when shooting it. Its a nice powerful little pistol
Hello, what is the name of the silencer that you have attached to the Crosman 2240? I have a 1/2 inch adapter attached to my 2240 and I'm looking for a good silencer. Thanks!
bought mine a year ago. Paid 39 bucks from Airgun Depot. Just put the Crosman Stock on it ... 35 bucks. Trying to figure out how to put a laser sight on it. Bought one off amazon for 14 bucks, but no way to mount it. Any ideas? Or model sights with mounting brackets I can buy?
Too bad that you are not allowed to modify yours like I did one of mine with steel breech, extended bolt probe, boss air port, 24" barrell, shoulder stock, Winchester AO scope, buck rail silencer, 1377 hammer spring. It shoots crosman 14.3 premier domed pellets thru 7/8" pine boards.

When you put new powerlet in, you DONT screw end cap in until you hear a hiss. You have to press trigger to puncture powerlet seal.
This is my favorite so far and with the red dot sites included that’s a heck of a deal. If I lived in the UK this would be my first choice.

I can't get the red dot anywhere near, shoots 8in higher at short distances.
Any idea where or how I could buy this package in Canada ?
