    Heinnie Haynes has got them in stock and listed as UK legal. The cutting edge was the deciding factor for a legal carry here in the UK but I understand now the blade length inclueds the ricasso. I still might pick one up. The quality looks to be extremely good. Nice review.

    Pretty cool. I'm enjoying the Rosecraft content I'm seeing across the board lately. Seems like their knives both traditional and modern are really taking off. Been thinking mighty seriously about grabbing their Little Chonk design to a wharncliffe flipper in the rotation.

      I've looked at the Chonk too. Haven't pulled the trigger yet.

    I've been remodeling my kitchen and have had this knife with me every day. The pry bar works well on standard paint cans and doesn't mar (doesn't even touch) the micarta or liners. The blade shape-size-thickness is handy for a number of tasks.

    • @ThriftyKaniffy
      @ThriftyKaniffy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That sounds like an excellent use of the pry, Ralphie. This is a well done traditional. Props to Rosecraft.

    Thanks, TK. I picked up one of these for my wife's BDay gift to me for later next week 😉. She knows I enjoy AA's work with RR/RRR knives, and would enjoy the small pry for the woodshop.. She did good 👍.

    Being a machinist many of our tooling use solid carbide or carbide inserts, but carbide is very brittle, so we have to rely on high speed steel. D2 is a high speed steel, so I appreciate it very much.

    Since seeing Rosecraft Blades Clinch River knife, I have been checking in to see when they became available and always looked past this one because of the pry bar. Then BigRed EDC came out with the video and she looked good in her closeups so I purchased one from Blue Creek Knives. Using BRE's discount, it cost me $30.59 and free shipping. Bryan had it shipped in thirty minutes on Cyber Monday! It is a beautiful, well made knife with a stout pull which I don't mind at all. I accepted the pry bar quicker than a double shot of whiskey on a cold night. And, that was just because of how nicely it flowed with the rest of the knife. Then I realized what an effective tool it would make on say...a skull. I tried it in a sheath you demonstrated and it does fit nicely. While I was purchasing this knife, I saw that the Rough Ryder Reserve Barlow was available so I got it also and saved with the discount code. I have been looking for it for some time now and was surprised to see it. Again it is very well made and fits deep in the small version of the slip you showed but a lanyard would help extract it. She also fits and looks great in a leather Bic style lighter protector made by Hide and Drink from Amazon.

    Very nice knife , at a good price . I could live without the pry bar feature .
    If the knife is a copy of a old IXL design I wonder if the " pry bar " wasn't
    A slot head screwdriver in the original design . Maybe marketed as a
    small folding hunter or bird knife ( thus the clip point ) with a screw driver for field disassembly of a firearm .

      Lately I include the weight in a slideshow photo. Stick around for the whole video and you'll see it. My email is available for anyone who would like to contact me about reviews. I don't actively seek them out.

    We can buy and own knives of that size but just can't carry in public, I have bought similar knives and reprofiled blades to just under 3 inches to be able to carry, with this particular knife I don't think it would look nice with quarter of an inch taken off the blade, shame they hadn't made is a bit smaller good looking knife.

      Pretty sure it was given roughly the same frame dimensions and blade length as the design it was inspired by.

    Not a fan of Armstrong..I think his designs are way off the mark..he says his knives are inspired by a lot of things that don’t exist lol..that knife looks pretty good..very much RR..Thank you for sharing
