Starcrafts are legit! My dad had a 1986 160SC (without the windshield) for 20 years. It was a cream colored abomination from the 80's with a red and a brown stripe! Thing LASTED. Nice boat Clayton! Things gonna ride nice! Also those jigs are the bees knees! I want!
3 screen... WOW, what a nice set up you have there Clayton! I sliced some nerves in my left thumb back in September and just recently gained back 90% mobility! Damn fine point exacto knives are bloody SHARP SHARP SHARP!!

I have a smokercraft adventurer 188T (exact same boat). Word of advice. Drill some holes in the drawers in the console or else they will fill up with water in a heavy rain.

Have had a 188T for three years, would not even think about getting another. I spend more time working on it than being able to fish, they look great on the sales floor but that’s it!

I like those twin Helix 12s at the helm. I know there's a lot of distance between the captain and the two screens and I wonder whether it might be hard to see the detail from that distance or do you need binoculars? At least I thought about it for my sake if I get one of these boats. For me it would either be a 188t by Smoker Craft or a Crestliner 1750 Pro tiller.
For securing the transducer wires use 3M command strips. They make one that holds wires really well. I installed them on my lund below the water line for my duce cable 4 years ago and they are still holding up well!
New boat looks amazing. Need to be sure and video the first time in the water and getting everything going for the first time. Not saying I want to see you struggle but it will be nice to see how you set things up on the water

I'm always looking for new ideas to improve my fishing experience. Congratulations you deserve it. I could definitely use a few more jigs if you want to consider me for the giveaway. Very nice rig. I've been lately looking at a smoker craft 188, she's the same boat as this one. I am a little dismayed at the look of the rough cut hole on the left side of the transom where that white tube comes out it looks awful rough and sharp. I also wonder why they don't angle that top piece which fits over the console. I've seen the same thing in the smoker craft line. It just looks half thought out. I may buy one and if I do I'll probably wind up cutting a new piece to make it match the angle of the console.
Pull a string with the wire for any future needs for more wiring ,,, Make the string more then twice the length of the wire run ,,, You will make your life so much easier when the fishing tech gets more advanced

Setting up a new or new to you boat is a tedious process. Take your time , look at different options, then drill it. Nice ride. I'm down here in Ohio, I run a small charter on Lake Erie.
Nice boat. I am very jealous. Q- I want to mount a Garmin UHD95SV transducer on the bow on a pole mount and was wondering of you have any suggestions on a manufacturer ? (I have an older motorguide trolling motor and to mount the transducer on it I would have to modify the mounting bracket so the transducer would fit so I figure a pole mount would be the way to go). Thanks for any suggestions you can give.
Those twelves need the screws removed from the ram mount and then replaced with nuts and bolts. If your picture is not clear on the SI & 2D then you will need to reroute the wire out of the tube you pulled through with wire pull. You could get interference. The new rig should do you well. Safe travels
The Apex is on bolts, and If I see any weakness with the screws I will be changing that ASAP as well. Most of the pressure is on the whole ram mount the way I let them sit, but like I said I will be keeping a close eye on it! You are also correct about the wiring, I will be watching for the interference aspect when I turn on a live-well, etc. making a switch if I have too. Thank you for taking the time to comment, I always appreciate the insight on that kind of stuff.

Serious question! What is the reason for the dual console aluminum boats in northern areas? Rocky areas? Seems to be the choice any time you see guys walleye and pike fishing. I have always lived on the SE coast, see a lot of aluminum john boats and larger duck boats but seldom see the v-hull aluminum boats. Mostly fiberglass bay boats, V-hulls and skiffs. I have fiberglass center console bay boat for coastal fishing but also inland lake striper trolling.
@@mrwho2118 - Understand that part, my center console has full windshield in front and sides from console up to T-top and option to add gull-wings on the sides to block wind and spray. I winter fish inland lakes for striper in the winter months, not uncommon to be on the water with temps 20-30 degrees.

Carter, you need a long shank bit driving those screws tight to the Ram base. Super useful.

The Delta series is a huge contender as a solid fishing rig... IMO
