God my friend I wish I had found you back when I started cooking! As always I hear you start and, I can't help but smile. No it's not your accent. For the sake of argument I'm from Alabama. Trust me my accent is so thick you could cut it with a knife. (LOL) So that's not it at all. Like I said when I first found you, your English is fine. Hell it's allot better than allot folks I work with that have lived here for decades! It's that you actually get it. You don't presume everyone has infinite cash or skill. You actually give what you offer a real beginner's guide! In an era where all anyone does is push folks to get to "the real game," you actually realize that doing so is a process. (I honestly have never gotten how folks are so in love with the all the grinding of end game) It's a breath of fresh air in what's become a very stale genre. You are what the genre needs to come back to life. Folks that guide the next generation on how it works. P.S. The only suggestion I ever thought to have for your approach you already covered, time stamps. My only other thought is that for me I would recommend starting cooking before starting gathering. Since grain soup is a Godsend in early gathering where the speed would make Ghandi want to scream! (LOL) Keeping 20 or so on hand makes what at first is a very tedious process allot easier. Of all the guides for BDO on youtube, yours are the most helpful! You really know how to break things down for the beginner. Too many beginner guides, while ok, assume to much knowledge from the audience and move way too fast. I can watch your guides without having to stop and go back to make sure I didn't miss anything. Little things like showing your viewers what buttons to press, what things actually do and the way you explain things in simple terms go such a long way in helping us as beginners. Haha. I dont really go too in depth on cooking either. I mostly store up a pile of potato or wheat then one shot cook them for the afternoon just to provide beer for my workers over the next week. My workers are all alcoholics lol

I started this game a month ago and now have 22 workers in my empire. I gather lots and lots of potatoes to make beer to keep the workers happy. They are my kind of worker. Hi there. You do not necessarily need a shai. A lot of players use shai because the character has a skill that increases weight limit that it can carry. The higher the level the higher the limit. So for cooking where you hold large amounts of ingredients and gathering which u hold alot of gathered items, shai becomes a good option. But you do not necessarily need to use it. I personally don't like RNG stuff, so i basically save up money be it from combat, life skills, passive income afk activities to buy my gears :) I have another video in the works which will talk more about it soon :)
hi @@dre.7107 , well it'll be awhile before I can make an enhancement guide since I don't really do RNG stuff like enhancing in BDO. by far, i get my gears from market by maximising my life skills and optimizing my passive incomes. From there, with a little combat during tag xp event, it pretty much allows me to gear up as well. Hello Axtonman, firstly, thanks for watching the video. I'll give you some examples and share what i do. but its going to be a long reply. Hope you don't mind. For leveling up cooking, there are many ways to do so. E.g getting gear/cooking utensils to increase cooking speed and so on. You can also choose items to cook and level faster. But personally, i only use beer, because of a few reasons. One, it is always in demand in the market, especially when the market runs out of stock, the price sells higher which means more profit, two, when you reach worker empire of calpheon and heidel, you get a lot more starch based material such as (wheat, barley, corn) and all these, can replace potato. And that means, you have an abundance supply of materials for beer which is free. So i stick to beer always as it also sustain the worker empire stamina. As for worker empire guide and other essential money making guide, feel free to check this page i created for our youtube viewers where i link a series of my videos to help you including the worker empire link. I'll put the link at the end of this reply. Pet feed wise, i once felt like doing so, but it was troublesome for me, as i lack play time, i dont have much time to gather meat manually, also, you need to unlock see node management, and send goblins out to the island to get dry fish and with both, you can then start to cook Good Feed for pets, to me, thats way time consuming just to save a little money. So I tend to just buy 500 good feed at the lowest price purchase order, wake up next day, and that'll last me a long time. For feeding pets, two tricks, one, do not use FEED ALL, as if you are at 99% bar, it will still use up one entire good feed to fill up that 1% so feed one by one manually. Secondly, set your pet to caution all the time so hunger level dont go down so fast. only time you put active is when you are in combat and you want pets to keep picking up loot. There are gears that can reduce cooking time, but largely it will cost you a lot. Below, allow me to give you an overview (but its going to be a long respond, so hope you don't mind reading an essay lol) If you are new to the game, I do not suggest investing in any of those gears first. Reason being, there is a lot of content in BDO. Don't invest in anything because the moment you start investing, you are not going to gain the moment you decided to switch to better contents suited for you, and when that happens, you are making losses and more losses with new contents trying to recover the losses. I am run business in real life, so that's my honest perspective. What i recommend is try out all forms of content, after that, there will be one that suits you and you'll find most enjoyable and want to do it long term, only from there, then you invest in gear. Hi MrSausage , for seeds if you can’t find them in market place, you can buy it from seed vendor npc. Use npc finder tool, type the word Seed in the search field and enter. As Long as you have discovered (spoken) to the npc previously, the seed vendors will be listed. For potato, do refer to my worker empire gathering guide. Hi Nicholas. It's by per batch of cooking. Meaning to say each round of cooking (the cooking meter bar) completes, it reduces one durability. We use batch as a term because when you insert ingredients, the game text tells you to only insert ingredients for 1 batch. As you level up your cooking skill, per cycle(batch) will proc more quantities of items you are cooking. Hope this reply and video helps. If it does please help me give the video a thumbs up like. I recall there are gears and buffs that will help on this as well, not just costumes. Personally as I don't use it frequently, I can't recall exactly what they are. God my friend I wish I had found you back when I started cooking! As always I hear you start and, I can't help but smile. No it's not your accent. For the sake of argument I'm from Alabama. Trust me my accent is so thick you could cut it with a knife. (LOL) So that's not it at all. Like I said when I first found you, your English is fine. Hell it's allot better than allot folks I work with that have lived here for decades!
It's that you actually get it. You don't presume everyone has infinite cash or skill. You actually give what you offer a real beginner's guide! In an era where all anyone does is push folks to get to "the real game," you actually realize that doing so is a process. (I honestly have never gotten how folks are so in love with the all the grinding of end game) It's a breath of fresh air in what's become a very stale genre. You are what the genre needs to come back to life. Folks that guide the next generation on how it works.
P.S. The only suggestion I ever thought to have for your approach you already covered, time stamps. My only other thought is that for me I would recommend starting cooking before starting gathering. Since grain soup is a Godsend in early gathering where the speed would make Ghandi want to scream! (LOL) Keeping 20 or so on hand makes what at first is a very tedious process allot easier. As always have a great one and be well. :)

Of all the guides for BDO on youtube, yours are the most helpful! You really know how to break things down for the beginner. Too many beginner guides, while ok, assume to much knowledge from the audience and move way too fast. I can watch your guides without having to stop and go back to make sure I didn't miss anything. Little things like showing your viewers what buttons to press, what things actually do and the way you explain things in simple terms go such a long way in helping us as beginners. I basically afk most of the time using passive income to earn all my gears xD which is why i rarely do pve much. Only pve i do is relic cause its earns a lot of money. you can see my passive income guide / relic guides and fishing guide that gets the relic in the #trinity-online-guide index in the discord channels. Hi there. You do not necessarily need a shai. A lot of players use shai because the character has a skill that increases weight limit that it can carry. The higher the level the higher the limit. So for cooking where you hold large amounts of ingredients and gathering which u hold alot of gathered items, shai becomes a good option. But you do not necessarily need to use it. I personally don't like RNG stuff, so i basically save up money be it from combat, life skills, passive income afk activities to buy my gears :)

hi @@dre.7107 , well it'll be awhile before I can make an enhancement guide since I don't really do RNG stuff like enhancing in BDO. by far, i get my gears from market by maximising my life skills and optimizing my passive incomes. From there, with a little combat during tag xp event, it pretty much allows me to gear up as well. Hello Axtonman, firstly, thanks for watching the video. I'll give you some examples and share what i do. but its going to be a long reply. Hope you don't mind.
For leveling up cooking, there are many ways to do so. E.g getting gear/cooking utensils to increase cooking speed and so on. You can also choose items to cook and level faster. But personally, i only use beer, because of a few reasons.
One, it is always in demand in the market, especially when the market runs out of stock, the price sells higher which means more profit, two, when you reach worker empire of calpheon and heidel, you get a lot more starch based material such as (wheat, barley, corn) and all these, can replace potato. And that means, you have an abundance supply of materials for beer which is free. So i stick to beer always as it also sustain the worker empire stamina.
As for worker empire guide and other essential money making guide, feel free to check this page i created for our youtube viewers where i link a series of my videos to help you including the worker empire link. I'll put the link at the end of this reply.
Pet feed wise, i once felt like doing so, but it was troublesome for me, as i lack play time, i dont have much time to gather meat manually, also, you need to unlock see node management, and send goblins out to the island to get dry fish and with both, you can then start to cook Good Feed for pets, to me, thats way time consuming just to save a little money.
So I tend to just buy 500 good feed at the lowest price purchase order, wake up next day, and that'll last me a long time. For feeding pets, two tricks, one, do not use FEED ALL, as if you are at 99% bar, it will still use up one entire good feed to fill up that 1% so feed one by one manually. Secondly, set your pet to caution all the time so hunger level dont go down so fast. only time you put active is when you are in combat and you want pets to keep picking up loot.

Hey amazing tutorial very newbie friendly and clear explanation Gratz! I just have one question, regarding gear: is there any kind of gear that actually makes your cooking more efficient like speed, luck etc...
There are gears that can reduce cooking time, but largely it will cost you a lot. Below, allow me to give you an overview (but its going to be a long respond, so hope you don't mind reading an essay lol)
If you are new to the game, I do not suggest investing in any of those gears first. Reason being, there is a lot of content in BDO.
Don't invest in anything because the moment you start investing, you are not going to gain the moment you decided to switch to better contents suited for you, and when that happens, you are making losses and more losses with new contents trying to recover the losses. I am run business in real life, so that's my honest perspective.
What i recommend is try out all forms of content, after that, there will be one that suits you and you'll find most enjoyable and want to do it long term, only from there, then you invest in gear. thanks for vid. What gain do u get if you use special wheat rather than normal wheat. Havent tried yet esp with special wheat being so expensive
So far base on what I known special wheat doesn't gain you anything. But I could be wrong. Normally you will want to use the ingredient that is cheapest to start with so you can sell those which can sell for more to make profit. Hi MrSausage , for seeds if you can’t find them in market place, you can buy it from seed vendor npc. Use npc finder tool, type the word Seed in the search field and enter. As Long as you have discovered (spoken) to the npc previously, the seed vendors will be listed. For potato, do refer to my worker empire gathering guide. At what rate does the durability go down while cooking?
Hi Nicholas. It's by per batch of cooking. Meaning to say each round of cooking (the cooking meter bar) completes, it reduces one durability. We use batch as a term because when you insert ingredients, the game text tells you to only insert ingredients for 1 batch. As you level up your cooking skill, per cycle(batch) will proc more quantities of items you are cooking. Hope this reply and video helps. If it does please help me give the video a thumbs up like.
