i love about Rush Hour and other Jackie Chan,Bruce Lee and the other kung fu movies. This is nice to watch some Asian or Asian actors were attended movies too
I love how a lot of the clips are from Nolan films, they all have stunning cinematography that's on another level, especially Dunkirk, Interstellar, and Oppenheimer, Nolan really knows how to utilize the magic of IMAX cameras
Hoyte van Hoytema a legend, wally pfister was also a legendary cinematographer working with Nolan before Hoyte. But he didn't use imax as much as Hoyte, That's the only difference we are seeing in Nolan films from interstellar, Hoyte is ready to use imax for even the smallest shot. Wally pfister used to prefer the workflow efficiency of less cumbersome cameras. But he defined the style of Nolan films for all the other films from memento, Dark knight, Inception, prestige etc. He was in a league of his own. Our loss he retired from Cinematography.
Ford x Ferrari 👀 The Creator 👀 These films are from Disney. Being a Disney hater is not easy, first you must look for the studios that made these films Disney is not just Marvel. Avatar and Kingsman are also theirs.
Christopher Nolan is arguably the greatest film director of the 21st century. Insomnia, Memento, The prestige, Batman trilogy, Inception, Interstellar, Dunkirk, Tenet, Oppenheimer. Simply outstanding.
He's not, he's just the most well known one. While his movies look good, they're not visually outstanding at all. A greater example would be Yorgos Lanthimos who just recently released Poor Things, but that's already too much to handle for Nolan fans.
Nolan's cinematography is always beautiful, truly some of my favorite movies in recent years, Ford v. Ferrari and Dune, glad to see Indiana Jones 4 in this list, that atomic explosion scene was insane🤯
Not discrediting other movies. But Christopher Nolan seriously has blown my mind throughout my entire life. What a gift to be alive throughout all his work. Oppenheimer in theaters was so incredible. During the nuke countdown you couldn’t hear a single breath in that entire theater. It was filled to the rim with people, and nobody made a whisper during the countdown. Such a surreal experience.
Isn't it amazing how some of the simplest shots can have so much depth, meaning, and significance behind them? Cinematography has got to be one of the greatest forms of art in human history. It's sad how many people don't realize that.
fr People should stop looking down on arts. So that, we can still enjoy quality arts by talented people. It is sad to see people conforming to social norms than their passion.
One of my favourite scenes ever is the falling apart scene (when the soundtrack "falling apart" plays) nearing the end of across the spiderverse, its amazingly cinematic. Also you forgot the scene in TDK when batman is standing in the debris of the explosion, sillhouetted
Wow.. the music, the time remapping, as an editor you did a great job encapsulating how audiences should feel after watching a movie, but instead you condensed that feeling into a short clip. Bravo :D
So beautiful I always appreciate work like this It's the best form of art for me personally Even myself sometimes playing with Davinci and I understand how much work it takes to create something like that
I love Christopher Nolan films as much as the other guy, but seeing All Quiet on the Western Front for the first time blew me away and made me bawl like a toddler at the end of the film. Stunning cinematography
Storytelling and Cinema are the unconscious realization of the existence and possible travel of the multiple wonders and dimensions of reality... beautifully done edit 🍸
@@PloBoom A thought I have whenever I see the "impossible" made real in cinema. A pessimist might say I'm hardly optimistic and just a dreamer...but I believe whatever a person can imagine can physically exist. Cinema and stories are just a keyhole to the wonder. Like the mixed feeling you get when you see the black hole in Interstellar.
I personally love some of the shots which were done by Deakens and Hoytema if am not wrong. Those two are truly one of the best ones in the industry. And specifically for Hoytema , he was just a normal person smoking in his appartment and doing other jobs , untill he made it really big in the industry. The man behind openheimer, And many other nolan films
My favorite ratios: 1.85:1 - Great and historic compromise between width and height. It can show tall things like buildings or gigantic stature creatures and focused close-ups with great precision, but without sacrificing width beyond what is necessary, which is wide enough for certain movies, no longer having that “boxy” appearance of narrow ratios; 2.00:1- Used with some frequency nowadays, it is similar to the previous one but with a slightly more "epic" scope, while also featuring a very considerable height; 2.20:1 - Very wide and epic, focuses on the environment and shows grand and dramatic panoramas; 2.35:1/2.39:1 - It’s like a version of the previous one, but with a little more steroids. It is, for me, the pinnacle of epic and vast frames. Below 1.85 and above 2.39 I don't like it because then the frame starts to become either narrow or low in height.
Great choices! Big Nolan fan and have been really growing on Villeneuve as well; Blade Runner 2049 and Dune are the obvious candidates but there were some shots in Prisoners which were just perfection.
Dont forget to check out my new "this is ANIMATION" video!

Tenet tho
tenet is peak
Because it's Hoyte Van Hoytema
Hoytema, not Nolan

Nolan is the reason I love cinematography
Unsurprisingly, almost all movies are Non-Disney ones.
Real.
What a surprise lol
most are Nolan films
Ford x Ferrari 👀

Blade Runner 2049 is my favorite shot film, the cinematography by Deacons is a masterclass in scale and composition
That's cause it literally just me
the orange deserts, the neon cities, the yellow ambient interiors, the white farm lands, what a fucking movie man !!
Deakins also did incredible jobs in Skyfall, 1917 and Prisoners. He's on another level of cinematogrophy.
Denin Villeneuve is a master of his craft, my favourite director and my favourite movie
@@gazabff8205 who are you

Very true. Cinematography is the soul of composition, light and color.

Every frame of this video can be a wallpaper
I think Tom Hardy, standing at the end of dunkark movie is the most iconic scene of the decade
Bro, how did I forget that!😭
that's the "Iconic NOLAN Shot"
I didn’t get it?
yeah dude. that frame is still haunting me
Obviously ❤

Villeneuve and Nolan movies(just a hint of 1917, John Wick and ford vs ferrari). That's this edit overall

Whenever it comes to cinematography no one can beat Nolan.
Bro denis villeneuve is master of cinematography. Along with deakins and greg
Adding oppenheimer scenes makes perfect
The creator, had imo some of the best shots i have seen in any film recently
I don't like to listen to 'Can You Hear the Music' along side anything else (apart from the movie), but this has my absolute approval.
Kudos to those camermen who literally went into open space to take this breathtaking shots in Dune and Interstellar!
I can't believe that I watched every single movie that are shown in this video.
and that's why i LOVE cinema
good cinematography is when almost every scene can make an awesome wallpaper

Could u do one of these edits but in the area of animated movies? I think there’s a lot of beauty in animation
+1
Animation is not considered in cinematography
Though it should need a category of its own
Since its different from film

I’m surprised you didn’t include Tron Legacy. It is one of the single best looking movies ever.
The power and effect of cinema is truly incredible.
So refreshing memories ❤❤
Why did Dunkirk and 1917 go so hard?
This honestly feels like a tribute to Nolan other than cinema itself.
Schofield stumbling across and going his way through a burning french town in 1917 has to be one of the most underrated movie scenes of all time.
I'll be watching all of these movies!
Nolan movies ruled the best cinematography shots
This is purely nolan's cinematography❤
Dunkirk’s visuals are insane
Surely a masterpice by Ludwig Göransson
Not having put even a single wes anderson movie is wild.
