wajinshu just bought it for 999 and then it turned on for like 30 secs i pressed the reset button and it wont display anything now,i search on google how to fix it ,I charged it, plug without battery,I see lights but screen is just black,apparently there are some people whos having same issue as I am ,too bad I would just return it and ask for refund...
I just got my unit and it kicks ass. I should mention that in order to get it for just $25, I had to order it out of Malaysia and it took 24 days to arrive here in the Midwestern US. I wouldn't mind paying a few extra bucks to get it through a USA shipper but in that case the price jumps to $60. Bullshit if I'm paying an extra $35 for the same unit. However, considering all the games this thing has, it is worth the $60 if you really want it fast.

The reason why Super Mario Bros 3 is a little fast is because it runs on pal which is the standard in Europe back then. Since the FC Pocket runs on NTSC it speeds up a bit since SMB3 pal is optimized to run at full speed even though it's slower

There's a variation of this that plays actual Famicom cartridges. The system itself is styled after a Famicom controller. (the Maroon and Gold) The version in this video used a proprietary cartridge that is much smaller than actual Famicom carts. I've been wanting to buy one of these from Amazon, and from the buyer feedback on this item, it seems half the people who bought this got the version with the famicom cartridge slot (which I am after) and the other half got this version with that weird mini black multi cart. I'm gonna try to contact the seller and see what the dealio is with that. It should be noted that the famicom cart version does have a headphone jack and uses 3 AAA batteries.
The two biggest problems with this thing are the whole d-pad can depressed at the same time which I have done a lot by accident. Secondly, there's little quality control in the games that are flashed onto the units. On my unit Contra is glitchy, Bubble Bobble freezes within seconds, Gauntlet is unplayable, Total Recall is corrupted too. And probably more I don't know about.
That sucks. I only found one game on my unit that was corrupted. It would be better if they had an SD card slot instead of the cartridge slot. That way we could load our own games and replace any corrupted ones.

Those chargers are made using the cheapest nastiest components and materials without any regard for safety. So yes, I threw away the included charger and used a safe high quality one.
You should mention that sometimes even the stores sell bad chargers my sis bought one from Verizon and every time I plug it into any phone it says thus father will charge tour phone slowly please use the included charger that came with your phone also my friend bought a charger from gamestop and upon plugging it into his switch it broke the charge port so he could no longer charge his switch at all
Hopefully CDR King sells those splitters for the Yellow, white and red plugs, I use the TV Plus and it will be a pain to keep pulling out cables, I want to next get this NES Famicom. May eventually break down and buy one of those used Xbox units, last time I checked they ran about 7000 peso's.

The only problem I have with it is the d-pad is stiff and I wish the battery life was longer. After playing it for a while the d-pad feels a little better, I guess I'm breaking it in
Yes it looks pretty cool although you have to plug it into the TV, it's not a portable console. And I think you can only play the built-in games, I might get one. We'll see :P

The cartrige is useless. It's just there to load the other 128 games. Once the 128 games list loaded you can just remove the cartridge and will work just fine
Yep. There's nothing inside the cartridge except a PCB with a couple of tracks on it which shorts some pins inside the reader and then tells it which internal games to load. I honestly don't know why they wasted money on it.
Yeah sorry, I didn't know anything about Famicom because we didn't have that in Europe. So I was going by pictures on Google images and got mixed up. It turns out the cartridge slot doesn't actually read carts at all. If you open one of the supplied cartridges it's just an empty PCB that joins two pins together and tells the console to read different games from the internal memory.

I have a Gamesir bluetooth gamepad that I'm planning to review. But I still prefer the FC pocket because it doesn't drain my phone battery and I don't have to go hunting for game roms. Some people might prefer the gamepad route though. The little LED camera light doesn't have a brand but I'm going to shoot a short video about it in the coming days :)
I also have an FC Pocket but my version has a slot for actual size Famicom cartridges (60-pin), so yours is probably a different version? + It's not a NOAC so even original Famicom carts work perfectly

the design is very similar with GBA micro. I can also do the same functionality as that console by using a GBA flashcard which can play GBA roms, (GB and GBC) as well as other supported emulators. of course mine more portable, it literally can fit in my pocket. and works for about 7-8hours continuous play
yes, the actual flash cart it self is much more expensive than the actual console it self (Everdrive GBA Flashcart). but as long as it works I can deal with the price. But hey, I can play more game on it, im not stuck to NES games only. Plus I can slap a 64GB SDXC card on it and put the entire NES/Famicom game lineups with couple of GB and GBC games, but I play a lot of GBA Games. I can play SNES games as well but only some of them due to missing X and Y buttons.

can you save your progress... because some of those games you will never be able to conquer them without a save option the regular NES had a save option so you can go back into the game and play whatever level you were on
Arvin Calizar I usually just connect the mini usb cable to the unit and it starts charging. I don't use the supplied AC charger. Instead I use my own mini USB cable plugged into my cellphone charger.
i purchased one from lazada after one week, now it is not charging. i tried to use another usb to charge it but it is still not charging. not sure if the usb is lose or the battery is the problem. if usb port is the problem can i still use it by buying a new battery that can be charge separately?
Zen Rodriguez You could try an external battery charger for the included battery or try open the unit and check the wiring going from the USB port. If you have a warranty, you'd be better returning it though.
472 built-in-games + 128 games in one game card = 600 games. I'll explain these version even if I hadn't FC Pocket yet 472 in 1 - Mostly licensed Famicom an NES games and few in unlicensed games. 128 in 1 - Titles are homebrews if you think they are original Chinese FC Pocket games.
Oh yes, about that mention earlier, the mini USB chager for FC Pocket is not safe or low quality but if I have it, I'll use mini USB cord from MyPhone B88 Duo and a high quality cellphone charger, right?
+Julie Salilig if it turns off, the screen goes white or the game suddenly slows down, you need to charge it. The red charge LED will turn off when its full.

Nintendo is re-releasing the NES as Mini-NES or something. And it's retailing at around $80. I heard it's out by next month.

There are specific controllers sold for the second player. As far as I know, you really have to buy that specific controller.

yes, the actual flash cart it self is much more expensive than the actual console it self (Everdrive GBA Flashcart). but as long as it works I can deal with the price.

i got one today and encountered a problem.my unit crashed while playing....but when i plugged it,it worked again.is it because the batter was running low or my unit has a problem?battery indicator was green when it crashed.thanks for those who will answer.can't find anything on the net.

I wouldn't really want to link to anyone specific because it's being sold by so many people and their stock often changes so the links would become dead pretty quickly. I try to link where possible but in this case I think it would cause problems. Thanks for the suggestion though.
Is there a way we can download games from online to the device? I bought this and noticed Metroid wasn't on it.
Unfortunately there's no way to add extra games to this unit.

Similar size but no compatibility.
you should try modding it to emulate other games or run an sd card
unhappy chinese bear there is a version of this that plays actual famicom carts and from there you can get a famicom flash cart.

can you save your progress... because some of those games you will never be able to conquer them without a save option the regular NES had a save option so you can go back into the game and play whatever level you were on

No idea. Did you try fully charge the battery? It normally turns white or flashes when the battery is low.

Arvin Calizar I usually just connect the mini usb cable to the unit and it starts charging. I don't use the supplied AC charger. Instead I use my own mini USB cable plugged into my cellphone charger.
i purchased one from lazada after one week, now it is not charging. i tried to use another usb to charge it but it is still not charging. not sure if the usb is lose or the battery is the problem. if usb port is the problem can i still use it by buying a new battery that can be charge separately?

Zen Rodriguez You could try an external battery charger for the included battery or try open the unit and check the wiring going from the USB port. If you have a warranty, you'd be better returning it though.
Does it hang when the battery is low? My FC freezes when the battery is getting low.
+Royal Army yep that's normal. If it freezes, hangs or the screen turns white, you need to recharge it.

You need to buy the second game pad (blue, no screen) which connects to the charge port. I've seen them being sold for P200 (4 USD).

472 in 1 - Mostly licensed Famicom an NES games and few in unlicensed games.
128 in 1 - Titles are homebrews if you think they are original Chinese FC Pocket games.
Oh yes, about that mention earlier, the mini USB chager for FC Pocket is not safe or low quality but if I have it, I'll use mini USB cord from MyPhone B88 Duo and a high quality cellphone charger, right?

Mine hasn't come loose. The unit can be opened and the port desoldered and a new one put in its place.

It doesn't accept any original cartridges from NES or Famicom.

+Julie Salilig if it turns off, the screen goes white or the game suddenly slows down, you need to charge it. The red charge LED will turn off when its full.
