  • In this video I go through the steps of making and mounting an amp, speakers, and on/off switch to the battery box of my new-to-me scooter. Enjoy and please leave comments and questions. I'll answer them to the best of my brains abilities. So, yeah. We're all screwed...

    Those mending plates are a good idea. Except they are going to rust. Pretty uickly out inn he elements You could probably use a block of wood epoxied To the inside of mthe battery box Or some type of a Stainless Steel plate perhaps you can find in a West Marine store or any other boat supply store which wont rust as quickly or you can try priming and painting the ones you bought ive also seen guys using a Bluetooth speaker system in a Back pack strapped onto the bike of course a lot less complicated then your system but i guess it works synced to a phone or ipod ?

      The mending plates are made for mending fences, which are outdoors. I would hope they wouldn't, especially because I dont drive in the rain. So its something that will have to be seen.

    is that speedometer stock? if not where did you get it from ? I really like it

    • @beermonkey9424

      That speedo comes stock on 2014 maddogs, but you can find it on the internet. I found one on miniinthebox.com while looking for motorcycle and scooter accessories. chuckuslife.com has info on how to calibrate it to your scooter. hope that helps.

    • @beermonkey9424
      @beermonkey9424  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      that would be a good idea, but i'm not sure there would be enough space inside the battery box. also i wanted the speakers to be facing tward my head so i could hear it better.

    • @beermonkey9424
      @beermonkey9424  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I still have the bike. Its needs a airbox, replace the broken exhaust stud, a better carb, and a bunch of parts I bought to be replaced. Life gets in the way though. I'm hoping I can get it up and running this year...maybe.

      @beermonkey9424  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@howardlangford8087 Hey now! I'm not the one who can't form a proper sentence. and to properly answer your original question: usb ports usually only put out 5v @ ~2 amps. the battery of the chuckus puts out 12v and the amp that I installed is fused to 3amps. 5v X 2amps = 6 watts. 12v X 3amps =36watts. the amp can put out 15w X2 and 30w for a sub if fused correctly as to not burn it up(ask me how i know). So what I think is a bluetooth speaker isn't gonna have the wattage im looking for. so now the plan is to install a 2.1 amp that does 50w per channel and 100 w for a sub woofer. more watts=more better. Now can you not be a mean person on the internet?

    screw that, im just hot glue a bluetooth speaker on that😂

    • @beermonkey9424
      @beermonkey9424  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Well you could go that route, but the vibration from the scooter would break loose the hot glue after a short while. Plus most bluetooth speakers are 1-3 watts and not too loud, the one I mounted is 15 watts and much louder.

    • @howardlangford8087
      @howardlangford8087 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Or you can just use another phone holder to hold the blue tooth speaker.

    • @beermonkey9424
