@@alexanderfrankenberger1118 yes the downforce probably wouldn't balance between front and rear. I've seen somebody did it and said its actually unnoticeable on streets. You only feel it in track. But you can always add flicks or bigger diffuser to make it up. I just don't like the normal retractable wing.
the spoiler looks ugly af, i dont understand why you need a spoiler for a 911. This isnt a formula one or le mans😂 it doesnt need too mjch downforce, that wilo reduce a lot of speed at the same time
My first thought was, "what are these morons doing"? Now that I watched till the end it actually looks very nice and clean compared to the GT3 touring. The ducktail has a nice little bit of extra flare as opposed to the touring consisting of a regular run of the mill rear diffuser like a base 992. Well done
@@MrShadowofthewind There is no loss if you are just driving on the public streets. Downforce would be beneficial at the track combined with a very competent driver.
Cool! In fact, it looks better than the Touring. Would it be possible to do this at Porsche? So they can tune the suspension like the Touring? That would be good!
There was a lot of testing that went into the development of that wing and I’m sure the performance of the car is affected by removing it. I guess if you are just driving around and like the wingless look better, it’s fine; however, if you plan to track the car (or do some spirited driving), I’d keep the wing. All in all, the car is beautiful and the color is stunning!
@@CaffeinatedDoggo I was joking. If you go only in town on streets with 50km/h (work, shopping, etc) and you like more this looks, why wouldnt delete the wing? In 30 minute you can put it back if you go on track once at 6 month... really... you guy driving Toyota and you tell a guy who has a GT3 what his car can do or do not.
If am not mistaken the touring has some significant modifications underneath the car as the wing is not present. Is it safe what you guys just have done?
Porsche advises against this I believe, but unless you haul ass on the Autobarn, who really cares. Just don't delete that beautiful green. I want to do my Cayman that colour.
Every engineering team with every manufacturer advises against altering the stock setup of a vehicle they have spent hundreds of hours of R&D. So yeah they advise against it.
A logical person would end the video by backing up and showing how the whole car looks without the wing
Dude, literally skipped to the end to see the car. Haha. Probably would look awesome, haha.
yeah I wish he gave us more/better view of the car
exactly , but ppl are low IQ
Gotta look at the thumbnail I guess. 😂🤣
Right it's not like we are here to do this install on the plentyful high volume car that this is. LOL!
A gt3 touring with a ducktail. Exactly what I would do If I can afford one lol
But why? Might even be dangerous since it could potentially lack stability.

Best of both worlds
At street legal speeds, the wing delete will not affect safety, however the wing will be going back on for track activities :)
@@yyzcurator797 street legal is as fast as the Car runs. But it's illegal to remove safety relevant parts of the car. TÜV is coming for you!
Rear suspension is tuned for a wing.
This probably really messes with the handling if you where to use it on a track.
Maybe it's just for show
Youre right, my bad I forgot to write that this is only for street use. Wing is going back on for track use :)
Not on a 911 type. Whatever downforce you lose in the corners can easily be compensated for with your throttle.
@@thefreedomguyuk oh really? Lmaooo
Its actually the front end that needs amending if you take away the rear downforce
The look of this vs the Touring imo is a bit nicer, the rear ducktail is obviously much more prominent now, stunning.
Yes, now it’s a non-gts sport classic
Agree
If I had a GT3 this would be done straight away, it looks so clean. Nice job!
buy a touring and you dont need to do anything it comes like that.
@@NeFjuS not the same, the ducktail spoiler on this looks 👌
@@NeFjuS plus a Touring is probably another £100K. Much rarer.
Definitely!
Amazing idea! That's exactly what I'm
going to do with my GT3!!! 👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽
I’m probably in the minority here but I prefer the look without the big spoiler
same
love this look

Looks way better than with wing and Touring. Easy install job too. Thanks for the video.
What?
@@crimsonpirate1710 what did you struggle with here? lmao
that's actually amazing and looks better than touring which I have
Nice job. Also appreciate the attention to details and care taken when working on the car.
Good job! All the hard work porsche did: CFD simulations, wind tunnel tests, fine tune of the suspension and weight distribution are gone.
The perfect look… Good Job!
Gorgeous color.

@@MrShadowofthewind There is no loss if you are just driving on the public streets. Downforce would be beneficial at the track combined with a very competent driver.
Wingless for the street and winged for the track.

That colour of Porsche is smoking 🔥🔥🔥🔥
why did i find this video very satisfying 😂
would have been nice to have some more footage of the result!
would have been nice to have a 3rd person film this, also
And there goes your warranty.. :) Where's your wing sir? ahh .. we can't replace your ECU..
GT3 Touring with ducktail :D. Porsche should have made that an option for the touring version.
Good to know, I think I will do this on my GT3 aswell
Cool! In fact, it looks better than the Touring. Would it be possible to do this at Porsche? So they can tune the suspension like the Touring? That would be good!
Beautiful gt2 in the back chillin 😎
Really like the look without the big tail in the back. The Touring for me, is really desirable.
Looks so much better
So much better for daily damn thx for posting
Where did you get those adapters?
Salter Aero
@@yyzcurator797 thank you so much! Very decent price and no FATspeed logo.
Perfect balance between the two.
Much better.
Interesting colour
Flat out gorgeous.
GT3 + Perfection - Wing = Why
cause the wing is senseless
@@stefanosassi Say that again when you are driving fast on a track, and lose traction because the aero balance is gone because you removed the wing.
Don't stress the wing can go back on for a track day
Looks pretty easy! In the market for a gt3. Wanted a touring but impossible to find one. Where did you get the replacement parts?
Yes for me 😊
Looks better, reinstall for track days, colour looks great.
that looks so much better, awesome color
That's a bad ass color. Is that factory?
love that numberplate
Ngl i don't understand why they didn't put a ducktail option for the touring version would have solved all this hassle
Look fantastic with out wing!!!!😍😍😍😍😎😎😎😎
Could we get a simple walkaround video of it? Looks nice
This
@@adidas7525 this is not a walkaround. This was just the process of taking off the spoiler and the thumbnail is a small picture.

all i needed to know is where those pc fans are now i can steal them from my gt3 and put them in the pc LMAO
You can finally run chrome
Some countries :
*your warranty expired
Clean!
New wings are aweful!!! 991& 997 gt3 wings are perfect!
For the $$$ I would want the option of a ducktail over the swantail. Ducktails look SO much better and cooler.
Very cool I love it
W/O the wing it looks really nice!
PERFECTION
Wow I wondered how I could do this.. AWESOME
Great low key mod. I always thought the 992 would look great like this ever since I saw it, then the touring ended up different. Problem solved!
Looks awesome
nice job on this video 👍
Looks amazing!
Love it!
Looks so much better now without that dopey looking autozone wing. Two thumbs up.
people forget with the gt3 touring, a piece on the front (dont know the name) is painted too
I love the color of the car. What’s the name of the color?
Black Olive!
Damn that looks good 😎😎
Why not just buy the touring?
The active aero is hideous

Less downforce of course, but very minimal and esp or othe electric assistants will eliminate any dangerous effects

Does touring have same suspension geometry as winged GT3? Wondering the difference of handling on track between touring and wing deleted GT3.
I believe the rear suspension bushing are different on the touring but im not 100% sure

awesome!!!!
