I've been singing Johnny Cash songs ever since my voice changed in Junior High School. And I'm proud to sing any song the Man in Black has ever written or sang. It's now 2024 and I'm 72 years young, and these songs are still as good as they've ever been. And even when he sings another's song, like Sunday Morning Coming Down, it's special. Thank You Johnny for all the memories.
Makes me feel like picking up my guitar again and doing all of those songs I used to play and sing. Makes for many tears in my eyes. I am 82 and sang along and played from it now seems like I was still in nappies. Yes He was my music hero, good on ya John I will pass on with great memories. Thanks for a great ride, I just might go and get my guitar and do some great music.
What a Patriot Thank You Johnny Cash for following all of troops Us. Played you all we could got the records, etc 1966-1970. You, June Carter Cash wife son John Carter Cash, Family. You are and will be remembered as the greatest.Thank You and GOD Bless you always with your music, songs, unique voice and entertainment.Amen! RLC. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
This was a wonderful concert, with Johnny singing his patriotic songs. Then, he went into some classic Cash hits. He had guests including an entertaining performance with June Carter. This was 1982 and you have to look hard to see Vince Gill, who at the time was merely a member of Rodney Crowell's band. 💗Vince was not yet the mega superstar and, of course, with that, he was not mentioned as a guest. Marty Stuart was a member of Johnny Cash's band, he was talented at such a young age. The show was an entertaining event.
I’ve followed this man and family after hearing the studio release of: Jackson of 1967. Seeing this performance was a true blessing for me. After my ruptured brain aneurysm and stroke, as part of my rehab, I was sponsored to learn something new I chose to play a drum kit. W.S. Holland (Fluke) is my mentor. Drum Daddy, if you will! Even going down the road, I’m playing my Snare on the upper leg of my pants. My bass drum in my foot, slap on the floor board. Song after song, Now I’ve even got my wife joining in!😂
This could be the most magnificent recorded showcase for JRC available. Wonderful pacing and performances by all. Nearly every number by each performer is perfectly rendered. It is interesting to conjecture how many in the audience on this auspicious night were there with even basic familiarity with JRC's work (I would guess 60%). This show is a wonderful document. Thank you!
I had the privilege of seeing Johnny in Des Moines, IA at the KRNT Theater. in 1967 with Carl Perkins. I was all of 13 or 14 years old. What a night that was!!!!
What a great entertainer he was.. Such a GREAT MAN.. I saw his documentary and it really touched my heart..... I keep watching it over and over again. The people who treated him like shit should be ashamed of themselves.😮 He made record companies ALOT of money.. he worked so hard amd was so. happy to sing his songs and tell stories. I really enjoy all his songs.....God bless him and all his family Thank God for giving us this wonderful man❤😊 Johnny Cash. RIP🌹💝 You will always be a GREAT LEGEND forever❤♠💝🌹

This is a real treasure of a show. Mixed with some stories of their time spent with the original stars of country/bluegrass music
