Just to mention, for heavy attacks (including slams) attack speed has a small return, for ground attack heavys, its recovery speed, which is a small animation anyway. In the case of slams, its also the recovery animation. Which you can roll out off, making attack speed pretty moot on slam builds. For combo count for heavy, always run corrupt charge until you can get galvanised reflex. X2 damage is hard to give up. For (exploading) glaives, yet to go far enough in the video, but always run at least one wind up speed mod, for early game this is going to be killing blow, late game, youre gonan try and fit either amalgum organ shatter or killing blow or both. ( i prefer primed pressure point for my base damage). Whirlwind in the exidus for increased effeective range. If uou are fine with base range however (cos it is playstyle), you can run dispatch overdrive or run no exidus and save the adapter.
Personally I don't mind status builds on guns but I really don't like them on melees. My usual setup for just damage would be primed pressure point, sacrificial steel, organ shatter, berserker fury, primed reach, the new magnetic mod for extra attack speed and dmg against overguard and then for grineer corrosive, for corpus toxin and for corrupted viral. As for arcanes retaliation gives a bunch of extra damage if you have decent shields but what's even better is melee duplicate which doubles damage for yellow crits and with a good crit weapon and sac steel crit chance is always near 100%. Melee influence is definitely broken with the right build but even after making those builds I find myself using it rarely and definitely only on steel path

14:40 Just replace primed reach for blood rush and it will be 10x better, blood rush is a must in every combo build, unless you were using melee duplicate, if you wanna go with reach then replace organ shatter, galvanized steel already give you 120% Critical damage (if you can get attack speed from other sources like arcane strike you could swap it for berserker fury but I don't like it, same with electricity status) ✋🏻🙂↕️🤚🏻
Range mods does not increase slam range. To maximize the damage output you got place Crit Mods, Elemental Mods, Faction Mods for that 0.55x ++ Dip, Seismic Wave, Also Galvanized Reflex to gives 5x combo all time.

god dayum youre pulling in all the work on this but i think youve been so far a massive help on how to mod weapons may it be now primary/secondary aswell as melees now tho i do have ooone point to kinda mention as a tip instead of using fury use Quickening instead as it you gain 10% more attack speed AND +20% combo count chance (might be just a slight small increasement but it saves quite a lot with both being 9 points) *(with the 10% more attack speed i kinda rather mean instead of 30% you have 40% attack speed gain)
Arca Titron with 3 mods is better than nearly any gun in the game. You can heavy slam your way right through the steel path without using combo counters. Two Niras warframe mods, and seismic slam on the weapon and you literally will do more damage than 95% of the guns in the game just with those 3 mods, and they are not hard to acquire, without using combo counters. Just bullet jump and heavy slam through every thing in the game. There is no gun that can compete with it.
I’m still having troubles with melee builds. I watched your guide on glavies and they work amazing but I’ve been wanting to go away from them so Im trying the nikana prime again and I’ve tried using the templates and I’m feeling like I’m doing something wrong
oh you did mention it idk i would have talked about it in the pre steel path section since plain damage is a lot better there than status damage is in steel path
Flo is it just me or ... i build a 1mil Dmg do melee but when use on SP it's like Dmg fully vanished no where to find...is it a Bug 🧐 i can kill enemies with other weapons & them don't even do 1mil Dmg 😂 I'm like WHAT SP eats my Melee 1mil Dmg do rply & tell if u know what's going on

I never hear about Melee Duplicate. On paper it looks quite good to me, but it’s never recommended. Is there something that makes it not good?
Aren't there weapon types that force a slash proc of heavy attacks? I usually invest less in status chance and go for those.
There are many that force procs slash. Claws and nikanas are most prevalent for that though
