Great video. What’s that outside the siding that surrounds the outlet and gives it a flush mount against the siding called and where are those available?
Hello, I was going to do that, but the GFCI I was going to install is too big to fit in the recessed box on the house, so I installed the GFCI it in my garage. Do you think I need to install one outside? I also have two 20 AMP GFCI outlets out side. www.homedepot.com/p/GE-2-20-Amp-Backyard-Outlet-with-GFCI-Receptacles-U012010GRP/1005793
@@ALWAYSOCCUPIEDTV I know that they have GFCI’S that look what you installed, but I believe that NEC code requires you to have GFCI anywhere that is potentially exposed to areas that can get wet. They do have many different styles of GFCI available
Thanks! I will check online for 2 of them. the gfci for the outlets outside is wired in my basement. So when it trips I reset the gfci in the basement. MY HOUSE IS CONFUSING!!! 😂😅😂😅
Quick and easy install. Thanks for the demo
No problem 👍

Thanks for making this video. The instructions on the one I got didn’t make sense to me for step 4, but you cleared it right up.
Glad it helped! Stay safe during these installs. Take care!
@@ALWAYSOCCUPIEDTV Will do same to you
I’ve got one of these installed horizontally but I am having trouble opening it…you make it look so easy….
It’s a little tricky at first! Give it a few tries and it should loosen up
Can't you use the top plug so the plug wiring can bend out of the bottom?
Have been thinking of doing same thing to mine. Thank you!
No problem! I had to upgrade!
Has any one tried removing the hinges on the cover? I can’t for the life of me remove it
@@musicismylifee168 it can be done but it’s a big pita
Nice!
Just went to home depot to get mine.
U need a much shorter cord. The sleeves do not look moveable.
I am looking for something cool now. As long as it has a right angle plug so it can fit. Thanks!
When You Use A Outdoor Cover That Gasket Needs To Be Sealed To Prevent Water Moisture.
Thanks for looking out! I will do that.
Does it get sealed with caulk? Or is there a special sealant?
You should change that outlet with a GFCI
