Very informative video, thank you. The android app doesnt work (you cant even download it). I found a nice app on android that costs only 2$ (Intervalometer for Canon M50) but i havent tried it yet. However my question is, does the Canon M50 battery last as long as 480 shots needed in order to create a 15 min timelapse. I had the impression the M50 battery is a little on the weak side
Ahhhh thanks for the feedback on the android app! In regards of battery life, the 480 shots only take 8 minutes for being captured, and you end up with 15s of timelapse... So the battery keeps up very well. The only time I had issues was in really cold weather and snow but that’s kind of normal. If you intend to take longer timelapse, there’s always the option to get a dummy battery and plug it in an external battery pack. Might test that in fact for a plantlapse!!!
Hi! I would like to ask which is the APP that works with this long exposure timelapse? unfortunately this link you shared for android is really dosn't work . :( Thanks!
App won't work for me, did it work for anyone on Android? :( I had TetherMonkey for my rebel T6 and it worked really well, but I can't make it work on the M50 either (might be something on Android tho). Too bad Canon app won't add this VERY useful feature.
Another rather limited option without the app is finding a way to keep your shutter held down in continuous high while set to a longer shutter speed. The video speed up option, if you set it to 4K, will give you about a 2x zoom if you’re willing to make a 1080p video out of it, although it won’t come out as clean as if you did that with a photo.
I have a list of videos I plan to make. But not everything is easy to make it happen. I know I have an issue with consistency and that’s something I’m working on. Plus, I have quite a busy life so... There’s also the fact I want to make videos about the M50, but not only...so...I have a ton in my head, just need to clear it out.
If you want kind of full transparency, I’m planning to do some POV street photography, because that’s what I do on Instagram. And I have things to talk about like back focusing etc... I also have a gimbal review planned, but I just need to have better weather for I’m planning to do. There’s still more about the m50 to talk about but I also want to talk about the Tamron Sony trinity...and vintage lenses because that’s also something I’m into... So, don’t know if there is anything specific you would like, just tell me and I see what I can do.
@@Tvennet I told you probably that I also want to launch some channel and bought not long ago m50 and now on your advice I'm going to buy Sigma 17-50. Hi, would you recommend m50 or M6 to record timelapse of sculpturing in big stone block. Its couple weeks project to finally be input into short film? I try gopro but the pic quality is bad, need better dynamic range camera due to contrast light.
For that specific kind of timelapse, none of them. They can do timelapse but not for days. I’d look at a Sony camera or a real canon Dslr with a real intervalometer.
Thats crazy even the Panasonic g7 can do long exposure timelapse in 4k its a much older camera . Idk why companies leave some key feature out. Thanks for the video though.
Because…Canon 😅 They like to keep some key features for higher priced cameras and replace them with « easy » features like video Timelapse. Doesn’t make any sense but 🤷🏻♂️
Bon, maintenant que j'ai un trépied 'faut vraiment que je pense à faire de la longue expo, mais pour ça, need un peu plus de vie dans la capitale. En ce moment c'est pas le feu :/ Merci pour le tuto! :D
I sow this very nice hyperlapse th-cam.com/video/l0c8kKpYfOk/w-d-xo.html where is used variable framerate with 0.5sec exposure. Is it possible to do same on M50 in timelapse video (lazy way), or is it restricted to max exposure to 1/8sec?
Really useful video, I did notice today that my canon m50 was lacking when it came to doing time lapse. might have to get another camera for the job.
EXACTLY what I was looking for, thank you. Can't wait to try it out tonight.
This is the video that I was looking for! Thanks man.
And I’m glad you found it 🙌🏻
Thank you for information about this camera and app
Great content!
Glad to see you back! Hope all is well. Thanks for the video!
Thanks!!! Glad to see YOU back!
Was waiting for this video !!
Was the wait worth?🤣
Thanks for the info!!
Beautiful timelapses, and nice tutorial!
This will really help me especially I am amateur...thanks mate
If it helps you, I’m super happy mate! Thanks for watching and taking a bit of your time to comment! Much appreciated 🙌🏻

Right on time! New video drops in 20minutes!!! Thanks a lot!!!
Great content man❤️❤️
Thanks for the tutorial, Thomas. I'm sure it is going to help me in creating some sick time lapses like you.🙌💪
Can you recommend any similar app for Android
Que buen video y aun mejor la explicación, muchas gracias Thomas Vennet!
Awesome 🔥 I love these kind of shots, great work
Damn such a detailed video!❤️
Deserve so much more❤️

hello thomas. nice sharing 🤩may i know, can we use software other than after effect? maybe da vinci resolve or final cut pro?
Splendide!! Tu devrais être prof de photographie mec!! Très bien expliqué, bons trucs, tout est parfait!!! 👌🏼
On va essayer de faire un peu plus sur TH-cam. Pas toujours facile mais on va essayer 💪🏻

Great Video, just wondering how to render it in After effects :)
Simple 🙂 file-> export -> add to Adobe media encoder
It’ll open media encoder and you can tweak the settings to your liking.

I'm gonna use the lazy one because I don't have a computer powerful enough to handle that much pictures! Thanks
Hi Thomas, great videos, but please could you reduce/match the intro music to your voice level, the music is way too loud! ;)
I wonder how often you post videos? you need to develop the channel. to determine the subject and strategy and so on. or is it all there?

Thank you. Is possible to save timelapse directly to images? Because images from video is bad idea and quality. Thanks!
Like I explain in the video, it’s photos. RAW Images.
Does the app still work when the phone is in sleep mode?

Hello the link for the Android version land in a subscription services page. Is there a way of downloading without these inconveniences? Thank you
There’s another app for android called « intervalometer m50 », will do pretty much the same…
@@Tvennet Thank you
does this work with autofocus? If the app allows to set it to 24 pics a second and shutter 48 (50) we could make the m50 a 6k RAW video cam
The autofocus isn’t affected...I didn’t think about that but...the only issue I could see is the buffer and writing speed to the card...

Hola, cuál es la app para timelapses para la Eos M ?

Es en la vidéo: Cascable.
I can't download cascable on the link you gave
If you can’t download it, there’s an alternative to Cascable:

@@Tvennet can you connect via usb like other apps instead of blutooth

Probably normal on a video that is 2 years old. Pretty sure Google can be your friend 😉
Can anyone recommend android alternative...?

Is it just me or you guys also think that he looks like Zemo??
Hahahah i think it’s such an improvement from the last comment stating I look like Johnny depp! Not to say, I like Zemo’s coat!
I will never trust a tinyurl link. Good info. Bad android link
It worked when the video was posted but seems like the site went down or something…🤷🏻♂️ and I only have an iPhone so…
Freakin canon keeps slapping their movie timelapse on everything. Nobody wants that.
