  • How much money do motovloggers make on TH-cam? We'll go over how much my motorcycle / motovlog TH-cam channel made in 2021. I'll break down how much I made each month when I had between 2,300 and 5,000 subscribers so you can have an idea of what your motorcycle channel would make, or how much your favorite motovloggers are making on TH-cam.

      Thanks brother. I'm a firm believer in what Public Enemy said:, "Before you get what you want, gotta give the people what they need." So I try to offer a little more every week. If it all adds up to something in the end, that would be ideal, but if not, at least I'm helping a few people and enjoying the process along the way! Sounds like we're likeminded on this :)

    Yep, it ain't all glamour and glitz, that's for sure! I'm not monetized [yet] but I have already put in close to 2,000 hours and way more than that in $$$ in the year and a half I've been making videos. I find it an enjoyable hobby, so while I'm not making any money at it, I'm getting many more benefits from it. Great vid - I prefer when creators are transparent with their viewers - the struggle is real!

    Cool vid mate. Thanks for sharing. I’ve not monetised yet out of respect to a family in the US who has been bullied and harassed by online true crime conspiracy theorists. I won’t monetise until those creators are taken off SM. Appreciate your honesty. Cheers

    • @YouMotorcycle
      @YouMotorcycle  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Cheers brother, thank you. Something to look into: I *think* that TH-cam has recently started to put ads on videos that aren't necessarily monetized by the creators. In other words, their new policies let them run ads on your videos with or without you. In that case, you might be better off just collecting the money and donating it at the end of the year. Something to look into/consider.

    Interesting stuff. I've only recently started making videos in any sustained way. The idea of making money isn't really on my radar now. I've been blogging for over 15 years, have about 1500 posts with over 7000 original photos and nearly a million words. Millions of views and I haven't made a nickel. I never was interested in monetizing the blog. I thought I would finish a book or two and sell those but the whole thing is still a personal project for myself.
    But if I could make 50 or a 100 bucks a month -- that would cover my riding diner costs!

    • @YouMotorcycle
      @YouMotorcycle  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@YouMotorcycle I’ve never been able to get past the look of ads on a blog so I just didn’t do it. On TH-cam it feels different.

    • @YouMotorcycle

      No one reads any more brother. I wrote an outline for a book for motorcyclists. The outline alone was about 16 pages. Then I looked at the traffic trends for the blog vs the youtube channel and realized if I really wanted to help riders out I was better off putting all of my knowledge and stories into video.

    • @ScooterintheSticks
      @ScooterintheSticks 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    You'll probably laugh, but this topic was on my schedule to do this month. I don't want to be a copycat so I'll pass on doing this video on my channel but the takeaway for the public is, uts like paying to go to work for the first few years assuming your content is a success. Eric

    • @YouMotorcycle
      @YouMotorcycle  ปีที่แล้ว

      Lol, thanks, I guess? The backgrounds are telling a story arch of a life cycle. I'm not sure if you caught it so I'll spell it out real quick.
      In Jan and Feb everything is frozen, nothing is moving.
      Mar & Apr you see the first signs of life.
      May & Jun things people are out and about.
      Jul, Aug, Sep, the people are coming together, the life cycle is peaking.
      By Oct what used to be fast and exciting is now slow and old
      In Nov its dying and by Dec its dead.
      It's the life cycle of the seasonal youtube channel, and it's being reflected in the video in the background. Jan and feb are the slowest months, where nothing moves, but by march it takes off all over again, and then once more it all comes to a halt in the end... until we do it all again. The nature of a seasonal motorcycle youtube channel's life cycle, reflected in the background videos.

    TH-cam won't even monetize me still, so it doesn't even matter for me. But you know TH-cam doesn't pay out well when the full timers are scrambling and whining about views and subs. TH-cam just isn't a place to go full time anymore.

    • @YouMotorcycle
      @YouMotorcycle  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm hoping you're wrong. It's already opened up some doors with paid sponsorships and so on. I think the value comes from growing the brand rather than growing the income directly from the TH-cam revenue, until you start to get a real compounding effect... Then again, if I don't hit my targets for 2022 I will probably scale back how much time I put in by a lot, so we'll see lol
