    How does the timelapse photo setting work on the GA100? If you click the capture button, does it continuously take photos every 2sec/10sec? Or do you need to manually capture each image?

    Thanks, the video was very informative. I have a question, does the GA200 have a microphone input with a 3.5mm jack?

    • @allcheckout
      @allcheckout  ปีที่แล้ว

      As far as I remember the GA100 has a 3.5mm or even 2.5mm mic/jack and the GA200 a mini USB, but better double check in the two videos I've made about that:

    Are GA400 and GA420 essentially the same except for the front camera on the 420? Can you use an external mic on the GA 400 even though not included in the kit?

    • @allcheckout
      @allcheckout  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yep ... the external mics are the same as far as I can see ... means you could buy one and use in the GA400. I've done even a video about that (th-cam.com/video/PCbNau6u1qE/w-d-xo.html). And yes .. GA400 and GA420 are the same except from the front screen, the missing mic in the GA400 and a bit better stabilization in the GA420 ... especially regarding the "fast motion" function

    Can you do a 400vs420 video. What is the advantage of getting the 420?

    • @allcheckout
      @allcheckout  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I just have the 420 and there the lid broke. There's not much difference between the 400 and the 420 regarding the video quality, but the case of the 420 looks way advanced compared to the 400 and the video stabilization is a bit better.

    Hello sir. Please indulge me and bear with me as this is a long comment.
    Thank you for an excellent series of videos, I now am a subscriber. I realise that it's a year since you filmed this edition and the cameras have, most probably been updated in the meantime but if all goes well I'll be purchasing a Wolfang 420 later this week and before I commit myself with a payday purchase I'd very much appreciate your thoughts on my conclusions, given below.
    After many youtube video's I've arrived at this assessment, all of the Wolfang cameras appearing in your video have problems with shooting at 60fps at any resolution, with the exception of the GA100 which appeared to be the best of your sample clips at 1080p 60fps. I think 30fps is the preferred frame rate for all resolutions.
    I think that 2.7k is the sweet spot for the GA420 considering the actual achieved performance vs file size etc.
    I live in the Flinders Ranges of South Australia, which's an outback region, temperature often exceeds 45°c during our summer months, and in the past decade has exceeded 50°c a couple of times. Naturally the cabin temperature of a resting car can get much higher. I learnt the hard way that these extreme temperatures can cause lithium batteries to swell and fail causing damage to other camera components. This is why I now use a dashcam with a capacitor instead of a lithium batter and a gimbal with replaceable batteries.
    As the Earth's elliptical orbit is closest to the sun during our summer we also have much higher levels of UV light as well as temperatures which cause many plastics to become brittle, also UV light causes some clear plastics to become milky/opaque over time, eg an aged car using polycarbonate headlights, won't have the crystal clear headlights that it had on the day it left the factory. So now I only buy cameras with glass lenses.
    Given my outback locale gets dust storms, heat, flooding rains and any number of other hazards it doesn't seem to make financial, common sense to buy an expensive camera.
    Enter the Wolfgang 420. It has a metal shell which at the least eliminates UV light compromising its effectiveness and at the most, serves as a heat sink to dissipate excess heat, it has all glass lenses which won't turn opaque from the sun's UV rays and given that I'm buying with an expectation of it having a limited life expectancy it won't be the loss of a huge investment.
    Yes it does have troubled audio which is solved by the included external mic.
    At the moment Amazon Australia has this camera with a $60au coupon making this a very attractive proposition indeed, I just hope the offer is still going in 4 days time which is when I hope to be making the purchase.
    Do you have any insights or comments which may help me? What do you think of my observations and conclusions? Are they correct?

    • @allcheckout
      @allcheckout  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      G'day Mate .... or something like that ... it's a long time ago when I've been in down under. Actually it was in 1997. I've visited most tourist spots except the Flinders Ranges and a few others. I hope I'll be able to get there in the future if time and money allow for travelling again.
      The Wolfang cameras are not bad but I don't have too good news for you regarding the GA420. That's the only one I kept, but sold all the other ones because the GA420 is the most advanced of course and also felt most sturdy and has a ... let's say somehow acceptable mic with the waterproof housing, but after not too many usage and no heat. OK I'm living in Florida with lots of heat and super high humidity, but didn't use it outside too much and the USB port lid broke after only very short time and I heard same from other ppl. It's made with cheap plastic unfortunately. So to be honest I would urge you to try to safe some money and invest into at least a GoPro HERO9 Black (currently down to $219.99 / amzn.to/3UtheZl). The reason for the 9 is that it's the first series with the larger housing (which is still used by the latest models). Of course it doesn't have the latest CPU but $219.99 seems to be a very attractive price and I mean it's a gopro. I have had so many other action cameras and two gopro blacks and even though I was not a big fan of gopro at the beginning, I love them now ... at least during the day, but not when it's getting darker. For that I'm currently using my S23 Ultra which delivers 10x better footage when it's getting dark. Hope that helps a bit. Cheers my friend and btw thanks for the sub ;-))

      @@allcheckout thanks for the punctual assist with a smile in your words.
      I liked your advice, have just checked out the Amazon Australia price for hero 9, alas the camera alone without any accessories included is a touch under $400au. Which brings me back to my point of not spending a fortune on something which is expected to fail, the most likely villain for this being our outback heat. I know it wouldn't be the ambient heat, that would simply cause the camera to shut down but the heat from a car cabin or camera bag sitting in the sun can be treacherous. A lithium battery may swell damaging the camera, or worse.... perish the thought! Oddly enough the lowest prices for GoPro's 9,10 & 11 are all within $50au of each other atm on Amazon Australia and rising from that like a hot air balloon, past $700.
      The wolfang GA420 package is currently $199.86au and an offer of a further $60au coupon bringing it down to $140 is very appealing. I'm taking heart from you saying that you kept yours and I also have heard of the doors being troublesome. I feel at this price it's a worthwhile risk, plus I have no intention of going underwater lol. I really do appreciate you getting back to me so promptly and with truly helpful advice. I also feel patriotically chuffed that you have been to Australia.
      I also use a Samsung Galaxy Ultra, S22 model though and I agree, none of the action cameras I own competes for night quality.
      I wish you all the best 🙂

      @@Outback_RecluseThanks so much for the nice feedback. IDK why they are not cutting back on the price of the GP9 in a decent way in Australia too. It would be such a great option if cheaper, but I hope the Wolfang will work also great for you 🙏🙏🙏

    Österreicher? Ich versteh ja, dass man ein Video International machen möchte - Aber krasser Akzent.
    Helmbefestigung wäre noch interessant gewesen.
    Vielen Dank für den Vergleich.
    Überzeugend finde ich keine Videoaufnahme. Bei allen Modellen gab es Fragmente und "micro-Unschärfe" (vom Bild). Oder lag das am Rendern hinterher am PC?
    Seit der GA400/GA420 gibts kein gehäuse und kein Zubehör mehr zum Befestigen an Helm/Fahrrad/keine Wasserdichtes Gehäuse mehr ^^. Hab im Netz nur welche ohne alles gefunden leider.

      LOL .... ja, krasser Akzent ... ist halt so.
      Ja, diese 'no name China' Action Cams (ist Stangenware mit eigenem Namen drauf ...) sind halt nicht mit GoPro zu vergleichen, aber halt auch nicht im Preis. Habe auch zwei GoPros für wirlich gute Aufnahmen, wobei auch die ihre "Macken" haben und in der Nacht sind die sowieso katastrophal ... Habe nur die GA420 wirlich für mich benutzt, aber jetzt ist eine Abdeckung gebrochen .... also geht die jetzt auch ab in die Tonne

      Are you talking about how to power it for so long time$ You can leave e.g. the lid of the GA420 open and keep recording. I've just started a time-lapse 5 min ago and it's recording ... showing time-lapse and also shows the flash icon ... means charging. Hence I guess it should work, but I keep it running for a while now to see ...

      What you pay is what you get. If you want a (not good) but at least decent quality then buy a GoPro. If you want great quality, then use a premium smart phone like Samsung or Apple
