- "In Concert" was produced by the @BBC in the early 1970s and featured performances from legendary acts of the time. In November 1971, James was 23 years old and appeared for the second time on 'In Concert'.
In this restored footage, James performs his song "Steamroller Blues". He is joined by Danny Kortchmar, guitar, @lelandsklar6363, bass, Russ Kunkel, drums, and Ralph Schuckett, piano. This song was released in 1970 on James' second studio album "Sweet Baby James" and has become a staple of James's touring concerts for many years featuring Steve Gadd, drums.

JT is the reason I was a guitar player at 14 and still there at 64. I was entrenched in his early albums and fingerstyle playing. Catch Leland Sklar as laid back as ever. Also a Tele Thinline with a Strat middle pickup at this era has got to be rare. I think I had one guitar book at the the time and it was James Taylor.
You can see here what an incredible session guitarist Danny Kortchmar was. Unreal.
