I own this car for a month now...and have driven more than 3000 km... and boy i love it. the car is awesome. the only thing i dont like is that they haven't given cruise control and reverse camera in 1.6 zeta, even after shelling out over 1.3 million for it.
+Siddhartha Bhandari Yes that is a little confusing since the 1.3 Zeta gets them. It should be the other way around since the 1.6 is a more expensive product.
I checked performance today sense it says 13s to 100km/h and 1750 km/h max in paper and it seems to slow.. On GPS my 4x4 diesel catches 100 in less than 9.9s and it tops out way over 190 km/h on straight.. 2wd model is probably even faster..Mine has 20k km and it works flawless.
I did a test drive and it feels great ! great throttle and good leg space and comfort on the back seat! the interiors is pretty nice but why borrow something from the existing models?? make it look entirely different ! those tiny details will kick it into a different league , this is where maruti suzuki needs to learn!
What a wonderful review. I also bought this car 2 weeks back and enjoying it. I agree with you that exteriors are not so appealing but the 1.6 drive and interiors are much better than other cars in the same range. I found the gear shift little hard, may be I had a petrol vehicle previously that's why? I got this for Rs.12.3 on road in delhi all inclusive plus chrome exterior accessories. Any suggestion are welcome.

1.6 was never available on sigma , only on delta and above. But now its only available on Alpha due to poor sales, I hope the 1.6 engine isnt discontinued.
Hi I'm a Baleno alpha petrol owner 2017 model run almost 28k now considering petrol prices I was planning to go for second hand Diesel and I came across s cross alpha 1.6 55k run 2016 model ,suggest me whether I should pick that car and sell Baleno consideration of service cost ,wear and tear of parts cost and realibility of this diesel engine . Nice and helpful review. I just ordered new model. It is so ugly i like it in black. I was thinking about buying it back in 2013 but I already owned SX4 4X4 so i bought Megane dci110 GT. No its time for my loved SX4 fines new owner and new Suzuki take his place. I am from Croatia and new model landed yesterday in saloons. Interior is more softer and car is 1.5 cm more in the air. New lights all around, full led main ones and new grill. It look more like Fiat to me now, in front. I will be my 3rd Suzuki. First was Swift 1.5 GS.. New one will be metallic black 1.6d with 4x4 and almost top equipment. It will be delivered in the middle of november.

The S cross has much better interior than Brezza. But looks wise Brezza is better. I have already booked a Brezza but the delivery period is too long hence am seriously thinking of buying a S Cross now. I had previously test driven the S cross on highway and I was very pleasantly surprised. It had a firm grip on the road even when i drove at 140 kmph. I then literally braked at that speed and the car screeched to halt within 5 meters. However it drags slightly to the left when you brake at a higher speed. Now I dont know if that is a general issue or a problem with the test drive vehicle. Maybe you can highlight that. I have also test driven the Brezza and felt that it too is good to drive. However compared to S cross, the interiors feel slightly cheap. They have tried to make up for that by giving 3 more features in Brezza ...1) glove box cooling 2) Luggage tray beneath the front seats 3) Multi colored display lights on the speedometer. Drive wise, The turbo in both (Brezza and S cross) kicks in after 1800 rpm and they both take off like rockets. However the 1.6 lit S cross is a pleasure to drive. I have yet to come across an engine that is as refined as it is. Even the 1.6 lit in the Verna, Elantra, Creta isnt as refined. And the torque that it produces at such low horsepower is just amazing. Coz it gives 320 nm torque at 118 bhp, whereas a Chevrolet cruze gives 360 nm torque at 166 bhp. The only thing that is deterring people from buying S cross is its physical appearance. And that is the sole reason that S cross hasnt sold as much as Creta or Brezza. So for people who want to buy a vehicle for pure driving pleasure and are not too hooked for looks, S cross is something you shouldnt miss. I had first blindly booked the Creta but after test driving it after its launch, i immediately took the refund of the booking amount. Even I am taking a refund of the booking amount of Brezza and going back for the S cross.

Anupam.....What you say is correct. The design slowly grows on you. I didnt like the frontal look of S cross. However the rear look is great. I have often mistook it for BMW when i have looked at its rear. Am going today to the showroom to again just check if they will change the color for me. If yes, then this car in a red or black will just look awesome.

That's a good deal but it sounds too good to be true. You should get a complete service history of the car, check whether it's non accidental or not and get a thorough checkup from Maruti. If everything is good, then you should consider it

MrUfinished considering the doors are changed. It might've been in an accident. But if it's a maruti true value car I think it might be good. I don't think service should be an issue. It's a little expensive than the 1.3 model but you'd be able to find parts etc easily. No big deal

Hi The autocar review mentions two negatives, tyres and the steering. There is a vagueness to the steering at dead center and this doesn't give you confidance at higher speeds. We can upgrade the tyres but what about the steering? Ie'm a fan of fiat steerings.How good or bad is the scross steering comparitively? Also which is a better buy, scross 1.6 or Punto Abarth?

The 1.3 Zeta Variant is loaded well since it has everything like Cruise Control,Automatic Climate Control etc. So it depends on your personal preference. The S Cross is bigger than the Brezza and the Interior quality and Finish is better too
15 lakhs for a hatchback.i would buy xuv500 lower varient which would also be better equipped not as well loaded as the top of line scross but still i would get a proper 7seater suv

between Vitara Brezza Zdi+ and Scross Zeta, which one to choose? What do i miss out in picking one over the other?
Your recommendation please. Cant strech budget enough for a 1.6 zeta.

+Utkarsha Mohan The Vitara Brezza gets Projector Headlamps and DRLs in the ZDI+ variant. The 1.3 Zeta Variant is loaded well since it has everything like Cruise Control,Automatic Climate Control etc. So it depends on your personal preference. The S Cross is bigger than the Brezza and the Interior quality and Finish is better too
15 lakhs for a hatchback.i would buy xuv500 lower varient which would also be better equipped not as well loaded as the top of line scross but still i would get a proper 7seater suv
I think you're mistaken. The S Cross is not a Hatchback

Does it support android auto too? I am buying this car so need a quick response. Also does the key have a dedicated button for opening the boot lid (are there just two buttons or three, since I was looking to order for a silicone cover for the key)? Thanks
It supports Apple Carplay for now. Android Auto support should be coming but I don't know when. The key fob has only 2 buttons- lock and unlock

The JK Tyres which comes stock do have road noise. I switched to Michelin Tyres and they are very silent

+K Rao Pretty silent in that way. Although, there is a slight diesel engine rumble( which all diesels have) but it is not obtrusive at all

If we talk about Brezza 89bhp, its considered pretty powerful.
When it comes to S Cross 89bhp, it is considered as a low powered one.
Why so??
There is a difference between the weight of the two cars (The s cross is heavier) and also the s cross is one segment above vitara brezza
