What a great technique! Thank you the tip for cleaning black/purple stains off of stencils. I have that problem with embossing folders too... and black foam squares? That's a game changer that I didn't know about!! I learn so much watching your videos. Sincerely, thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge and experience.

As soon as I finished watching this I made my own version. Brayed the black ink on the stencil and pressed it into the ink blended panel. Love the grunge result.
I love this idea and can't wait to try it. Gives me a great idea for a plaid stencil I wanted to do dark green and dark blue. Thanks for the inspiration!

If there's any technique that sorta hides my imperfections, it's perfect for my "creations". These cards turned out so pretty. Thank you so much for sharing this with us, Gina!
Late to the party.. Sorry. But a relatively new crafter, here.... In my naivety, starting out creating, when I didn't know what techniques or products I'd like, I just bought what caught my eye. I bought honestly, not realising how rife knock-offs of lovingly, artist-created stamps, are 😳 i was watching another replay live of yours and realised one of the first stamps I bought was definitely "inspired" by one of your designs. It's now in the 'shame drawer'. On anther note... Don't know if you know of her (I'm posting at 8:56 in the video), bur Natasha Foote, a YT creator, is the biggest fan of your masking magic. She raves about it and is actually the one who got me into Gina K products.
i do have some strong opinions so everyone, please know these are just my thoughts and be kind if you reply. we all have our own passions! GREAT intro! i previously belonged to stampin up and they also have dedicated groups specifically for the purpose of sharing their product. other product is NOT ALLOWED. their group, their rules. my point: it is your group. i understand that you are trying to be accommodating to everyone, but if their cards do not meet the gina k requirements then there are other groups they can join! its only fair to the others in the group, trying to gather inspiration for the gina k product they have, that there a appropriate samples. aside from the masking magic, i do not have any of your stamps. therefore, i have not joined your group. i understand that it is your group, your rules. i gather all my gina k inspiration from your TH-cam videos and i thank you for them. there is always great new techniques, fun and welcoming conversation and a true passion for your crafting. it's very inspiring and helps lift me up when i am struggling to get started. happy crafting to everyone!
I just tried this card and when I removed the stencil there were dots of my dark color (blue) on the edges of the color portions. The colors came out fine- no smudging in the spaces. Just those pesky small dots 😨. Why?
