I use Cosmic Shimmers Pixie Powders sprinkled directly onto the shaving foam and swirl it around they really make the end result sparkle, and if you use a scented shaving foam the recipient of the card gets a nice scent when the card is opened.
Just love these pieces of art, takes me back to spending my working life in early years. We tried so many ways to make prints and we were not sure whether the prints came out better or the children. The look on parents faces when they saw their children on pick up with multi coloured faces and hands. 😂
Beautiful backgrounds! It makes me smile hearing your excitement after each reveal 😊. You just “whipped those out “ so quickly! I’m looking forward to seeing them in your complete cards. Such a good time watching you, Christine. I’m always more joyful by the end of each one….that’s the best gift anyone can give in my opinion… Blessings, Nancy Rolfe
Great my thought would be put the stencils on top of shaving cream then pat the paper into the stencil so many ideals so little time and yeah let's sprinkle some powder directly onto the shaving cream. So much fun.
Fab technique using shaving foam and the powders, who would have thought you would get results like that. Much better using stencils as patterns are more defined x
Soooo pretty! I like that last one especially because the design itself gets the color instead of the background. Thank you for daring to try new things! 💕
Ones has a die of a peacock, so presumably one could make a stencil of a peacock ! 😁 I somehow managed too but two pots of the peacock colour... I must really like it!🤣🤣🤣
Merci pour la vidéo ! La technique à la mousse à raser me semble plus facile que celle à la pâte de structure. Je n ai pas ces jolis pigments mais d autres qu il faut fixer à la laque. J essaierais qd même au cas où ça fonctionne . Merci mille fois
I was so intrigued as to how you used luscious powders with shaving foam, now I know and I think it’s a fabulous idea, many years ago the patterns were lots of swirl which didn’t appeal to me. I really do like your method of using it, so thank you for another wonderful idea. Take care.
What an awesome idea, shaving cream and lucious powders!!! Fantastic results, I am looking forward to seeing the cards you made with them. Thanks for being an awesome inspiration!
This is just AWESOME!!!!!! Such beautiful colors. I have several Pearl EX powders and am going to give this a try. Thank you so much for the inspiration.
Just to show you I did look back on some of your older videos when you were away……….. !!! I tried the shaving foam with luscious powders and stencils but the resulting colours were quite “grainy”. Any suggestions? Apart from this slight problem, love the technique!
I haven’t done it for a while, I’d probably have to revisit, but I remember that it worked better if the luscious powders were mixed with water before adding to the foam!
@@Chrissieannie Thanks Chrissie. I did use Luscious powders but hearing you say you wouldn’t perhaps use so much water I have a feeling maybe I didn’t use enough which could have resulted in the luscious not “dissolving” sufficiently. Will definitely have another go - really liked the technique.
can you put the shaving foam on a mat and then dip the paper and the stencil into it?? then you don't have to spread it??? think it would work???? I have never used shaving foam before
Hi Chris. I just thought I would let you know that I ordered the same CrafTreat leaf stencils that you used in one of your videos, but I can’t find the video in question. Anyway you mentioned that one of the leaf cut outs (the middle one on the top row) was missing, and mine is exactly the same, so I’m just wondering if that is how it comes, as you said you might get in touch with the seller to query it. Sorry for this garbled message xx
I so love these colors, your backgrounds came out so beautiful-of course you are using beautiful stencils as well! I thought the same thing when I saw that drop of gold come out of your dropper, where did that come from?!! It was so random but so pretty! Now I must try and remember to get me some shaving cream the next time I'm at the grocery store. LOL Hugs, Brenda

Thanks for sharing!!
When I took a class on shaving cream backgrounds, they taught us to lay the panel on top of the foam and then lift it off and wipe off the excess.
There are lots of variations

My husband said I had blue in my hair after this morning's session! 🤣🤣🤣

Oh thank you! You're so kind Nancy, thank you ❤️❤️❤️
What fun! I think I'm watching videos out of sequence, but no matter because they are all so enjoyable! 👍
Glad you like them!😃😉

I agree about using the stencils with shaving foam and I prefer the powder dissolved in water before adding to the foam!
Fabulous reminder about using shaving foam! Definitely going to give this a try using stencils!
Have fun!
Fabulousness! I don't have luscious powders, so I'll have to add some glitter to some acrylic or something ...
Just have a whole bunch of fun! 😁😁😁
Another great technique Ms. Chrissie, Thanks again for sharing!!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Oooh can’t wait to have a play. 😂 First up is to finish cleaning up my room so I have room to spread papers to dry. 😂😂❤
Good thinking! 😃😃😃
Two in one day! And I'm watching in the wrong order I think. Absolutely fantabulous. What a great way to start a Monday morning.
Actually there were three!!!!!
Gorgeous effects.
Many thanks!💙

You are so welcome!😊
Wow! Have so many of these will have to try. Thanks
Please do! Have fun 😊
Just gorgeous❤❤❤
Thank you! 😊
absolutely beautiful. would love to see the shaving foam and dry powder. More intense color??
Coming soon!
Fabulous. Thanks Chris.
My pleasure!😊
You can try holding the can upright and holding the plate up in front of the can. It should spray better.
I tried that sadly to no avail, I think it was too old! I now have a new can! 🥰
Those backgrounds are fabulous, Christine! Love, love, love that Peacock color. One needs a stencil of a peacock!
Ones has a die of a peacock, so presumably one could make a stencil of a peacock ! 😁 I somehow managed too but two pots of the peacock colour... I must really like it!🤣🤣🤣
WOW they turned out great. TY
Thanks ❤️

Cela dépend de la finition que vous souhaitez obtenir, la mousse à raser fait un effet très doux.😊
Great idea
Thank you! 😊
Beautiful results ❤
Thank you! 😊
I’m watching this video at work, wishing I was home to have a play. Looks like so much fun- thank you for sharing 🥰
I'm watching just before work, wishing I could stay home and play! 😂
Soon be home time!🤣
What a cool experiment! I’ve just ordered some shaving foam after watching your video! Warm regards from 🇨🇦Calgary, Alberta🇨🇦
Hope you enjoy it!❤️
Beautiful! I'm going to try with my cosmic shimmer powders as someone else mentioned in the comments.
Please do! It will be so interesting to know how the various powders react!😊
Love the excitement in your voice as the results are revealed! Made my day
I'm glad!😊 Thank you ❤️

Thanks so much!😊
It looks lovely. I have added dry Brushos to shaving foam so I’m sure the luscious powders would work too.
I have some twinkly Brushos that I haven't actually played with yet, I should dig them out. Maybe another experiment is on the cards!😉😉😉 thanks
That’s it, I’m on the lookout for cheap shaving foam and going to try this. Jenny 🇨🇦❤
😃😃😃😃
These backgrounds are fabulous!
Thanks so much 💙💙💙
I want to dry it shaking on some dry after I put it through the stencil just to see the areas of concentrated color
Sounds like you’re going to have fun 😊
These are beautiful! Do the backgrounds dry smooth or with a texture? Please post a pic of them when they're dry!
I have my cards on my Facebook page and on Instagram. You can see examples there!
@@Chrissieannie thank you, beautiful cards!
So beautiful and i like you gigiling i alwzys laugh with you 😂
I'm so glad, a little fun shared is worth a lot! 😊😊😊

@@Chrissieannie Will do as soon as I get to the Dollar Store for shaving foam. :-)

When you try these different techniques, do you write on the back to remind yourself of the technique?
I've never thought to do that, as up untill now I've been able to recall how I achieved an effect,, but it's a great idea, thank you! ❤️

You should have a play, it’s lots of fun, so many things you could try! 💙❤️💙
Just gorgeous backgrounds. The key is to make sure you use nice-smelling shaving foam!
Great idea, I think most have a pleasant odour though! 😉
Gorgeous backgrounds but will the shaving foam set?
No it just dries up. Take a look at the next couple of videos I made and you'll see what happens!
Brilliant, I've added saving foam to the shopping list 😊 Haven't watched that video yet but will do soon.
You are right what a gorgeous technique, you've inspired me try this out, need to buy shaving foam though. Thanks for sharing 😊
Have fun! ❤️

I did contact them and they said that that particular centre was too fiddly and there were only the two inserts included!

If the cashier looks at you oddly with shaving cream in your basket...ignore them! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@Chrissieannie Haha, will do!
These are so awesome!! This video popped up after I asked about it!! Obviously, Mr. Siri was eve’s dropping!!! 😂
He's such a helpful chap! 🤣🤣🤣
❤❤❤
❤️❤️❤️
These are so pretty and soft color. Have you ever tried this using alcohol inks? Wondering how that works?
Have a go! Don't remember if I've used them or not! 🤣🤣🤣
