My favorite tips!!! 1. Greet the parents when they come into the meeting right away 2. Make sure that introductions happen 3. Start with the positives/student's strengths 4. Stay off your computer/phone (unless needed) 5. Turn and talk to the parents when discussing goals/standards. Don't speak verbatim, make sure it feels like a conversation 6. Explain acronyms/avoid jargon 7. Ask the parents if they have questions throughout the meeting (repeatedly)
