My older son (10) grew up on Metric. We bonded as he was growing up with their music. When I went to go see them in Salt Lake City i was front row and I got emotional for what they mean to me and my family. I started to listen to Metric when I was in high school with no friends and just my headphones and now as a Dad and Husband in a different stage in my life . I feel they are part of me, like my subconscious knows their music well. I feel like my son has metric in his DNA and he doesn’t know it. I know that even if years go by and he ever misses me, I’m only one metric song away
Gone midnight, kids in bed, housework done, single malt in hand and Metric pops up on my 'recommended' watch list........maybe there is hope for TH-cam and their algorithms after all......coz this is EXACTLY what I needed right now!!! 👌 Stay safe people.
Found this late. Actually discovered this band late and it was like a revelation. They jumped Wolf Alice into my most played most obsessed even handling a crush fantasy about Emily. Bottom line is I’m surprised Metric are not huge. They deserve it 💗

You’re like an older sister to me. Your band has been so important to me ❤ my best friend got to attend a show in VA, about 8 years ago? He’s passed on now. Metric was our strongest bond. He was 27. I missed the show & didn’t get to go with him. Flash forward many years & children later and I’ll be at the Seattle show in October 💕 he got me a beautiful shirt. I lost it in the many moves I’ve had. I’ll finally be able to replace it. Keep doing the beautiful work you do🙏
