I got the Alien ending on my first playthrough of this game back in 1997 when I rented it from a Blockbuster. I mean the bird form was OP and I didn't see any advantages play wise to turn into a mammal. When I reached the mountain I just flew, saw the spaceship and attacked it because I had been attacking everything that moved for hours by that point. I was really surprised when, after the internet became massive and people were discussing games, that those that had played EVO had never actually gotten the Alien ending.
You can have 0 HP if you like, you'll be Schrödinger's Cat until you actually land on solid ground. (Of course you also can't move or anything since you'll still be stuck in the damage stance until then) Got knocked off a ledge and reduced to zero, fell quite a long time until I eventually landed and died.

What the... I've honestly been playing this game for over 15 years now and I've never even heard of the alien ending! That's awesome!
