    Spirit 37 offers so much joy while looking at it, the interesting case finishing design, the complexity of the dial, even the polished bits on the bracelet, can't really beat it in that price range.

    Longines really have got it right, design, price and style. I do go for 40mm min and up to 44mm, I tend to like the larger dials. These are great value for money.

    I like the titanium version of it. 40mm, slightly more expensive and bigger.

    Longines really nailed the date on the 37mm. The 40mm is more my size (have tried on all 3 sizes), but I understand the long lugs are an issue for some people. This is such a versatile watch and great value for the not small amount of money. I love all the details in this watch. I am okay with the 5 stars and if you realize it's got a historical precedent with the brand and is not an Uber rating, maybe that helps? I think it helps to balance out the dial too, though obviously some other line of text in its place could potentially do the same.
    A quick adjust clasp would be nice, but I think brands are starting to realize that (at least at the luxury level) and are starting to bring that feature in, but probably not quick enough for a lot of us. I personally don't change frequently enough to NEED it, and more have to adjust seasonally based on general temp range. I think people are starting to recognize Longines as a solid brand for enthusiasts (as they revamp their lineup), but it's still underrated. On the plus side, it can mean you may be able to get a discount new and definitely can find some solid pre-owned deals. Great review as always, and just the right length.

  • @Juanjo191
    @Juanjo191 ปีที่แล้ว

    I love the white texturized dial on the 40mm, but the lug distance is too much for my 6.8 inches wrist. So I’m waiting to see if Longines comes out with other dial designs. But this watch is amazing, really beautiful

    Nice choice, the Longines. At that price, however, I'd have a look at the Nomos Club Neomatic 37, in the Petrol colour. Same price, more interesting movement, better colour, flatter wearing on the wrist.
    And with a German brand that started post-reunification, at least you're not subjected to heritage marketing.

    I wonder whether it is too impractical on a woman's 15cm (or mine even a little less) wrist. Doesn't one get caught on the cuff of sleeves or when for example taking a rucksack on one's bag and similar situations?

    Comparing to the CW C63 reviewed recently, the answer is - nope. It feels more 'alpinist-ish' than Rolex or Tudor. Especially when it comes to the bracelet. It looks weird and cheap, it reminds the Seiko or Grand Seiko a bit, but it doesn't speak to me anyway. The strap option sounds much better at this watch. Also I don't like the dial font and those star rating - if something is good it doesn't need to be rated in front of you ;) Of course, I've noticed high attention to the details of that dial, nice shade of it but I don't see the versatility of it because of that 'alpinist-ish' feeling which can close it in the smaller amount of people who can appreciate that simillarity or paying tribute to the Seiko.
    Nice video and content as always from you. I see a lot of improvement from the last time. Keep going like this 👍🏻

    Tudor have sullied their brand by having greedy David Beckham representing them. He also advertises Nespresso and Walkers crisps (that I know of), which just ruins a brand I once desired and saw as aspirational!
