2:44 you can also obtain the kiln recipe on siptah in the chest at the end of vaults (the one that holds the sigils in it) i know this is mainly about the exiled lands but i felt it was important to make a note of it incase people were curious
@@jacquesalas4294 pretty sure all the archives recipes are just random really low spawn chances from vaults (i'll note ive never personally seen the kiln recipe drop but i traded a guy on siptah for 3 kilns about 2 months into the early access and ive had other recipes drop at random from vaults.. )
Agree size of slots, fuel at regular use and space all lend to the kiln too be the best overall. Great vid Wak. Good and helpful insight for those that play in the exciled lands
Kilns are always my fav. Didn't realize the speed increase still for the purge thralls. Happy to hear it! Now I just need to get them on Siptah. I know you can get them there cuz I've done it on single player lol
I play on singleplayer, and that makes the Heat-Efficient furnace by far the best one, as far as I'm concerned. The game stops when I stop. I can't leave a furnace running before I go to work or something, and so the fuel efficiency is useless to me. If I need a lot of metal, brick, glass or whatever, its better for me to get it as quickly as possible if, I'm going to get anything done. If I go farm coal for 15-20 minutes, I have enough for 8+ hours of burn time, which is already more than I will play after getting home from work. It's also this reason that I really like the Campaign Blacksmith Bench. Iron is dirt cheap if you know where to farm. But reinforcements are so slow to craft, and you need to mass produce them for any build project you're doing that's T2 or above.
The kiln is where it's at, if you can get it. Smallest footprint, big storage. For me, I don't much care about speed. I dump ore into the furnace and go do something else. If I need more speed, I just build more furnaces. Even T1 smelters at the basic furnace can get a lot done when you have a bunch of them up and running. Usually, by the time I have the kiln, I've come to the point in the game where I probably don't need thousands of bricks/iron/steel ingots anymore.
Getting anything from the library has always felt grindy for fragments as I hate rng over a set value. Rng is not my friend. So while I like the kiln. I've never managed to get the blueprint with over a hundred fragments in all my gameplay. I gave up. End up going without or trying to get private server admins to set a trader or event where I might get it.
That's my one issue with the Kiln. Because there are so many possible scrolls, the likelihood of getting that specific one is pretty low. Too bad, it sounds great.....
There was no Siptah info here, so I would say this is not complete. Can you verify if summoned surge thralls, which appear to be pulled from purge lists, have the same benefit as purge thralls?
im going to be testing this tomorrow, not sure if you ever did. but i am currently waiting for the slow ass kilns to be done with my steel and then i have to make steel reinforcements. heat-efficient to me would be best as people who work for a living need to have speed on their side, in pvp it would be king due to impending doom that lurks around every corner and need to build fast
hands down heat-efficient. basically 33-341 (.948 bars a second at 1 wood every 10.9 seconds)(5:52) in game, vs 2-95 with fuel-efficient (.26 bars a second at 1 wood every 3 minutes), and the kiln at 5-100 (.278 bars a second at 1.2 wood a minute) id say the heat-efficient would be best so you can slam resources faster and be done with tasks quicker you need to get done. so that way your not stuck waiting and waiting, all you need is a bark run, shit tons of trees and some dryer racks. and you could eat metal for days and brick
looks like i'm not the only one in love with the kiln. but!!! after the update im gonna change to the bigg one. i play pve and i'm building a lot. i'm not comming back from the vulcano without 70-80k stone on me . i know it has less slots but i'm just gonna fix that by building two. the thralls are ready
For anyone in Single Player the Heat Efficiency Furnace it where it's at. The game world only exists while playing, so speed is key. A stack of Dry Wood can keep it going for several hours, and having a named Thrall assigned makes it crank out items in a fraction of a second.
Does the chimney part of the fuel efficient furnace have collision on it or can you place ceiling and roof pieces overlapping it so that you need only two walls high room? It would make sense to have the chimney going through the ceiling and roof.
Well, if it wouldn't have a collision in it, you wouldn't be able to interact with it, so no problem there. Also it's on players to place their stuff so that they can't be accessed by anyone they don't want to access them. It's not a few things that I've stolen through windows from badly placed workbenches and from furnaces sticking through walls.
I thought a level 3 Smelter gave you 1 Iron Bar PER Iron? I experienced that on xbox back when. Now on playstation I...do not. Very frustrating. Feels pointless the extra speed if I'm not getting what I got before. So I'm asking, did they patch that? Or is there some other factor I'm not thinking of? Was hoping some similar ratio improvements for crafting Steel and whatever else.😒
The Kiln is to other furnaces what I wish legendary drops were to crafted epic sets. As always, gratitude for the intel. Regarding purge thralls. They should be better. So I'm satisfied there.
Isn't that from the Age of Calamitous mod? I assume you can throw them in the Furnace to make Copper Ingots and then take those to the Casting Table to forge into Copper Coins.
Good vid and informative BUT.... Do the same vid with no thralls..... what do the smelting do by themselves..... with no thralls.... since we might have the ovens but not the thralls?
Why are people not talking more about crafting stations in relation to base size, bigger crafting stations mean you are forced to build bigger bases, which mean easier to notice and harder to hide. That fact sucks for a solo player that needs to hide in order to survive, that long ass carpentry bench in particular is crap.
The armor, and possibly smithing, bench is also crap in that it ONLY handles Epic recipes. So standard recipes just don't show up with it. Maybe Funcom will fix that in a patch at some point...
The recipes do exist, but in a silly place: Click the 'Info' button on an Ingot and the game will tell you what was needed to make it. I.e. Steelfire for Steel, Black Ice for Hardened Steel, and Brimstone with Black Ice for Star Metal. So you have to loot an Ingot to get the info in the game. The same holds for making items like Potent Compost, which mentions adding Blood and Raw Ash.

Which vault has the kiln recipe

Thank you!
Even thought the update isn’t out for console yet I’ve been watching these videos and they are helping me get prepared for it

First!! yes it is good that there is a purpose behind the different tier thralls. It is also good that there is purpose behind a purge thrall now.
Interesting... I’m glad to see that purge thralls do actually have some benefit.
Omg dude im happy i found u. Iv needed guides like this. I just started getting into conan
Really enjoying the format of these new videos, very, very informative.
I love the kiln. Also makes for a nice pizza oven in your kitchen. Haven't managed to find the pizza recipe yet, so I'm just baking bread in it.

Time to replace my improved furnaces with kilns, great video 👍
Cheers Wak. Another great vid. Started harvesting for all these new stations. Now just need someplace to put them.
Have fun!
I noticed that you're using dry wood as fuel, I oil was best fuel source?
I'm super happy to know some retained their speed boosts.

Mate grindy is what Conan is all about, I have managed to get it on every server I've played on

love those vides can you make a play list of all of this type of crafting info.
The heat efficient furnace says it lowers the cost of smelted items. Did you test that? Is it still 5 iron bars to make 1 steel?
im going to be testing this tomorrow, not sure if you ever did. but i am currently waiting for the slow ass kilns to be done with my steel and then i have to make steel reinforcements. heat-efficient to me would be best as people who work for a living need to have speed on their side, in pvp it would be king due to impending doom that lurks around every corner and need to build fast
Do u have a video on that library thing?
hands down heat-efficient. basically 33-341 (.948 bars a second at 1 wood every 10.9 seconds)(5:52) in game, vs 2-95 with fuel-efficient (.26 bars a second at 1 wood every 3 minutes), and the kiln at 5-100 (.278 bars a second at 1.2 wood a minute)

How do you get the kiln on the isle of siptah?
I like 3 kilns, 2 fuel efficient furnaces, and one heat efficient furnaces. I have lots of interior space to make such a large smelting area.
For anyone in Single Player the Heat Efficiency Furnace it where it's at. The game world only exists while playing, so speed is key. A stack of Dry Wood can keep it going for several hours, and having a named Thrall assigned makes it crank out items in a fraction of a second.
Great video! Thanks!
Please put all the different benches and there stats in the description or make a Google docs or something so I can get quick numbers for math
Does the chimney part of the fuel efficient furnace have collision on it or can you place ceiling and roof pieces overlapping it so that you need only two walls high room? It would make sense to have the chimney going through the ceiling and roof.
If that's the case, especially in pvp, you would be able to access the furnace and take everything out.
Stoker Bram...
Astra, polisher of wood...lol
I see what they did there... 😂
My favorite reference is Inigo the Vengeful
I’m clueless to all this this is informative I know nothing of fragments of power though
Thank You

No don’t think it ever did that the blacksmith used to have a better recipe for bars to reinforcements.
I would like to see a video on the new rock nose please
Awesome video

i searched copperstone for CE and this says nothing about it, i still dont know what the hell its for years later.
Isn't that from the Age of Calamitous mod? I assume you can throw them in the Furnace to make Copper Ingots and then take those to the Casting Table to forge into Copper Coins.
If they remove the speed increase I would the find smelter and tanner mostly pointless other than to look nice
But how to you make .
Good vid and informative BUT.... Do the same vid with no thralls..... what do the smelting do by themselves..... with no thralls.... since we might have the ovens but not the thralls?
Did I miss the stats for the ovens alone? Technically the result would be the same because all the thralls were the same if I remember correctly.
Hey wak!
Stroker Bram... hi Vlad.

I'm just trying to figure out how to craft iron bars when I cant find a fucking recipe anywhere. The faaack conan.
Put iron ore in the furnace with a fuel, wood or coal and turn it on.
